As you move to continue on across the bridge the other guard steps in front and the main guy says " I guess yer a bit hard O' hearin. Yee are not going to cross this here bridge. There is another bridge bout' 10 miles up river or you can try an swim or take a boat. Without the Ship's permission, yer not going this way."
Both guards seem ready to use force to prevent your crossing and some of the other guards in the building are starting to take notice.
As they march up the sloping path towards the plateau. You can see them meetup with a figure wearing priestly robes. You cant see much details of the guy, only that he is large and of stocky build. A good covers his facial features and they are carrying you and svern towards the jungle.
You enter the left stairwell and notice the same "eye" carved over the entrance to the tower is also carved over the archway to the stairs. The iris is glowing a faint green as you pass under it and begin the climb to the 2nd floor. The stairway opens up directly into the library which is a large diamond shaped room. Rows and rows of books and racks of scrolls follow the flats of the walls with a large table in the center of the room as well as smaller table dispersed throughout. There are not many people here that you can see. In the center seat of the large table sits a gnome with several piles of gizmos and gadgets he seems to be studying. He is writing in a large book as he reads through some old looking books.
At the beginning of the rows of books on the Northwestern wall an old lady sits, wearing a white robe with the Arcane Brotherhood's symbol on chest. Her eyes seem like they were sewn shut, but she seems attentive and aware of her surroundings. Another library patron approaches her and asks a question. She puts her fist up to her eye like she is looking though a scope and then she writes something down on a slip of paper and hands it to him. He heads off for a row of books on the other side of the library.
Bellows figures she must be the librarian, and he heads over to ask her where to locate information on past members residences and any other information on Abernathy Thornbuckle, also known as Abernath the Infernal
The librarian hesitates, and seems to eye Bellows up and down with her sightless eyes...

Bellows
" It has been my lifes dream to meet Abernath and I just want to know more about him. I am aware he has been missing for sometime and would like to see where he lived. He is my hero" he pleads with the librarian in a mix of child-like enthusiasm and wonder.
The little gnome was inspecting a small device while reading from the plethora of open books on the table in front of him when he hears the name “Abernath.” He glances towards the origin of the voice, a kobold, and for a brief second, loses his focus. In that second, he drops the device, which falls in the middle of his notebook. He gets out of the seat and runs towards the kobold, clumsily bumping into tables and knocking down chairs in the process. “What was that about Abernath you said?”
Lia watches the gnome run over to her kobold companion and has to bite back a smile. "My friend here is seeking information on the old mage." Lia says, nodding to Bellows.
“I know a thing or two about him. I almost met him.” The gnome struggles but forcefully opens one of his pouches and several tiny gears and metal pieces clatter on the ground “OH!” He then pulls out a small poster, which he unfolds to reveal an old picture of Abernath from his time traveling and performing. “Perhaps I can be of help?” He folds the poster up and places it back into his pouch before kneeling down and picking up the scattered parts. When he gets all of them back, he puts his hand out. “Pardon me, I forgot to introduce myself. I was named Wrynagstiro Dororost, but I much prefer Wrenn Dorros. It’s easier to pronounce, in my opinion.”
" wow! You almost met Abernath the infernal? Nice to meet you Wrenn. I am Bellows. Bellows Goldenscale. We are trying to find his address to find clues to where his tower is hidden." The last part he try's to whisper, though it's hard to contain his excitement at meeting a fellow under-dweller. " do you want to come along and help find him? He has been missing for a long time.."
The librarian starts to look a little annoyed at the energetic display. She decides it's better to give him what he desires, though it's a strange thing. She peers Into her fist and prepares to write the information down. She gets a puzzled look on her face...then writes down. Aisle 5 South East.
She says " that's odd, I cant see the books or their exact locations...something is hiding them from me....try the 5th aisle on the South Eastern wall. There are only 100 times and 500 scrolls to look through.....General books on fishing using Arcane methods are in the children's section on the Northwestern wall. 3rd book, 2nd shelf 1st row."
She then gets up and heads out to take a break or something. She looked very disturbed about not being able to see the books.

Wrenn
(Response to Bellows)
Wrenn nods. “I will join you in your search for Abernath, if you will have me. I would not be a student of the arcane if it were not for him, so it will be a great honor to locate him.“
He loks up at the guard, "You seem very tense for a bridge guard." Mikhail shrugs his shoulders noncommittaly and turns from the bridge. With no more options he moseys back to the tavern to drink until it is time to meet his colleagues.

Snus finds a yearbook (83) from when Abernath was a student of the Arcane. There could be some clues unearthed with a little digging.
