" hey, We should head over to the market, I would like to see about purchasing some ingredients to make some potions to sell. If we need to a boat that will cost some moneys and I will need 50g to get my Arcane Brother amulet. Though that will take lots of potions sold to get that. So maybe we can scrounge up some gold while looking for the tower."
Looking around in the roofless ruin you find a circular room of about 15' diameter made of weather worn stone. In the center is stone firepit in serviceable condition that hasn't seen use in a very long time the walls have embedded sconces with empty tins that must have once contained oil and wicks. The stone walls block the wind nicely and with a fire in the firepit, the circular structure would do a great job reflecting the heat. The only thing really lacking is a roof
”Odd...” Svern says to himself. Svern walks over to Tez, saying ”We should get out of here, we’re still pretty close to the cave. And Abernath may be able to follow us still. Though, I don't know where we are, and you don't know as well...” He then begins surveying the area, seeing if he can tell where on the map he is based on the nearby islands.
He eyes the crew as they go about their duties but does look over at the Grinning Dawn. While the bigger ship provides a more reliable and safer means (which Mikhail approves of) the smaller keel is much more cost effective and, as everyone knows, dwarves love to hold on to their gold.
"Lad, I think we should settle for the Keel. It will be a better deal, though I require a barrel of ale to set foot on it, to drink and use a flotation device!"

Its impossible to tell your location as this part of the ocean is full of Islands of various sizes. You can tell you are in the North portion of the sea by the chill in the air so you know you are likely further north than the Moonshea Island chain. By the suns position you can tell its approximately mid day so you have time to explore a bit before shelter becomes critical. You can continue to explore the plateau, or follow the trails down into the jungle/marsh or the trail to the beach. Or you can set up shop at the ruin

As you three walk towards the market, leisurely browsing shops and houses on the way Snus gets the feeling you are being watched and followed. Bellows is oblivious as he is having so much fun and enjoying the company of the mysterious Snus and the beautiful Lia
You are leisurely putting the old scrolls back into their tubes and putting them in their proper locations as you check off the list to indicate their return in good condition. Treatises on elementals, the history of the many attacks by Tiamat. Luskan History and even some potion recipes many centuries old. The library of the host tower has an amazing collection, 2nd only to Candle keep. It serves the membership well for research and the students in the 2nd grade members take full advantage. Palamin has been working here for a year now, the promise of access to the training halls of the Arcane being ever floated in front of her, yet never seems to transpire. She gets the distinct feeling that maybe someone has found out her secret, but she needs to play it cool and wait for the right opportunity to disengage herself from the tower. If she fled now, every Magic wielder in the Arcane brotherhood would pounce on her. No, she needed to play it cool.
You hear some of the other librarians talking while you work. you here them mention that someone was seeking information on an Abernath the infernal. Nobody seems to know who that is or why some short little Kobold vermin might be interested. They mentioned the fact the Kobold was accompanied by an amazing beauty and a mysterious half-elf.

Svirnivel:
”Hmm... Let's head to the beach, we may be able to attract the attention of a nearby vessel from there.” Svern then begins to walk down the path towards the beach, motioning quickly for Tez to follow along. Once at the beach, he looks around for any ships or boats nearby.
Walking along the sandy shore line you start to find bits and pieces of wrecked ships. After following along the coast for several miles you find the remains of a long ship that had been run aground. The boat had been ripped in half by the power of the sea. One half in on the shore an the other is out in the water, approximately 20' offshore
Tez quickly moves to investigate the ship that is not in the water and looks for anything interesting inside, if there isn't anything of importance he looks to the other end of the boat.
How recent has the ship been ripped apart? Is there any survivors? Anything of value? did it just wash ashore, and is that why one part is still offshore?
The front portion of the long ship is the part on shore. It doesnt look like it has been here every long. Searching inside and around this portion of the wreckage you find several smashed open crates who's contents are lost to the tides, three broken barrels that once contained food and other sundries and one good barrel that is intact filled with a liquid. Maybe water or maybe something else. The markings that used to grace its wooden staves has been sanded away during the crash. There are large sections of rope attached to the hull and a lantern that seems to have survived. You notice scorch Mark's on the deck and an inordinate amount of blood staining the rowing stations
Snus whispers to Lia and Bellows to continue up a ways and he will meet them a few shops up in the alley. He stops at a trinket shop to look at some exotic things from across the ocean (or so they advertise) pretending not to notice you are being followed. As Lia and Bellows turn into the alley to wait for Snus, two rough looking men follow into the alley. one of the men has a thick stick in his hand he is tapping on his hand. He says, " now what do we have here? Is this ugly little thing your child Miss? You should be more selective in who you choose as a mate...Haha "

you can't see anything you associate with danger, but you can see the water stays shallow for about 15' then rapidly gets deeper after that.
