Khalin Gool is a mad, but not drooling ( he would never drool) necromancer who is chaotic neutral and afflicted by an accidental link with otherworldly Old One. He is interested in just what death is, and that, one could say was his last battle. He was attempting to merge the corpses of an Ogre Magi and a Hafling thief (he caught him trying to steal his ring - more on that in a moment. Just as he was casting the spell to animate the two corpses a lightening bolt struck him, as well as the two corpses. You see he, in a fit of desperation, tried to use the energies of a thunder and lightening storm to boost the power of the spell. It not only rendered him unconscious him, the Old One was really unhappy to have been deprived of it's 'toy'. Perhaps he was not always as mad as 'now', what ever that means to him, but he very definitely has a few broken springs. The ring the that brought the thief to his horrible fate was a Ring of Spell Storing, which might have something to do with what will befall him next.
As a wizard in training he became fascinated with how things died and thus his 'career' took off. He became a reclusive outcast from most human forms of social interaction so obsessed was by what lay beyond the veils of death. Everyone who knew him thought he was slightly bonkers to begin with, now...they sort of left him be. He is not the evil, gloating sort of necromancer either, just manic about all things of death.

Ragnorock Storm Cursed
Fighter 1, Storm Sorcerer 14
Ragnorock started his life as a soldier. And that is what he loved. Standing arm and arm with his comrades hammering the enemy...his strong arm and his skill all that mattered. And then, one day he found himself cursed by the mark or of the stormlord, a scar across his cheek marking him. NO longer welcome with his warband, he was forced to find his own way, and has adventured alone learning to handle the magic that courses through his blood. After years he is finally happy with his lot....and suddenly.. the dreams started. The nightmares....
Name: Merric Rosewater Race: Ghostwise Halfling Class: Rogue (Assassin) Background: Merric Rosewater is a ghost-wise halfling from Delmyr, in the Hordelands. He is an assassin member of the Society of the Golden Hin, the organization responsible for the application of justice within Delmyr, such justice being determined by the judiciary of Delmyr, the Society of the Crystal Hin. Rarely the justice imposed is that of death. At those times, a halfling of the Golden Hin is charged with carrying out the sentence. Usually, this means escorting the accused from their home or, if it was thought the accused might flee (a rare thing among the law-abiding and order-loving hin of Delmyr), from one of the few cells in Delmyr to the place where the sentence, such as lashing, will be administered. Sometimes, however, the accused is not a hin of Delmyr but an outsider, a merchant, traveler or other outsider. Those accused are far more likely to flee than any hin. Merric Rosewater was sent in pursuit of one such criminal, a half-elf merchant who called himself Syl al’Harrad. Al’Harrad came to Delmyr as a merchant of clothes, textiles and related products. He had come before and this, perhaps, is why the hin merchants who met with him let down their guard. Whatever the reason, al’Harrad and Tinsom Appleblossom, a merchant specializing in certain rare herbs native to Delmyr were heard arguing over a transaction. Later, Al’Harrad left Appleblossom’s shop in a hurry, gathered his wagon and people, and left Delmyr with great haste. A witness who saw him leave noticed he left with a large sack with the Appleblossom sigil and had a limp. Later that day the lifeless body of Tinsom Appleblossom, his wife, and his assistant were found dead in the back of the shop, slain by a long sword. Most of his stock of the rare herbs was missing. In Tinsom’s hand was a bloody dagger. The Society of the Crystal Hin sought the merchant but his lead was too great and he could not be found. A trial was held and Syl al’Harrad was found guilty of the murder of the three hin and sentenced to death in absentia. The Society of the Golden Hin was charged locating al’Harrad and carrying out the sentence. Alternatively, and if it could be done safely, al’Harrad could be returned to Delmyr to face a second trial and speak in his own defense. Merric Rosewater was one of three assassins sent to find Syl al’Harrad and deliver the just sentence of the Crystal Hin.
