Vinras joined in on the sigh, “I suppose you can’t tell us anything on this map or what he seeks?” He moves closer to the Goblin and reaches to touch the Goblin on the forehead, his hand glowing a soft yellow light(Lay on Hands) and heals the goblin for 2 HP. Vinras then reached into his pack and gave the Goblin a ration. “Try not to ambush the next travelers, seek peaceful trade.”
Grast seems utterly baffled by the advice, and even more so by the fact you’re showing him mercy. He begins to cautiously get to his feet, still cringing as if half expecting a blow.
“King Grol want dwarf map, make us take alive special. He come, take dwarf and map to castle. Klarg keep human though. Want make sport of human.”
He squints at the orange setting sun.
”You hurry, maybe find human still alive. Cave that way, maybe mile. No more traps, but Gretch keep wolves in cave. They hungry”.
Vinras nods to the goblin, "This is your one chance to reform... be warned. I hold true to my words." He then looked to the others and Irena, "Indeed, hopefully we can get to them in time." Vinras would start to move down the path towards direction the goblin pointed to.
Grast scampers away. Before he disappears into the forest, he turns and raises his hand. “Not kill. Trade.” Nodding thoughtfully, he scurries into the underbrush.
Well handled! As that encounter is done, you can all go ahead and level up to L2.
You all continue down the path, as the shadows deepen further. The forest begins to break up as the ground becomes more rugged. The trail leads you further north, along the banks of a rushing mountain stream. Eventually as the stars begin to appear as you round the corner of the stream and spot the distant glow of firelight.
About 300 feet away, the stream emerges from the mouth of a wide cave in the hillside, surrounded by briars and bushes.
You glide in closer, silent as a shadow. One of the thickest bushes near the entrance has been hollowed out into a crude hide, and you spot the outlines of two small humanoids crouched inside.
One goblin, with a necklace of long fangs is dozing while the other swigs from a half-empty wine skin. These two were clearly supposed to be lookouts.
Cool. The goblin is yanked out of the hide and lands with a soft thump in the ground in front of Amshoon. He blinks groggily at you and seems to be trying to work out whats happening.
No problem. Are you guys trying to restrain the goblins, or attack them? If you are attacking will go into initiative, otherwise I’m happy to play this out narratively.
