Harmony had seen the old woman, wondering if this is the one they were warned about. But upon hearing her, that was now definitely confirmed. She listened as the woman wanted to play with someone smart, knowing that it would have to be Simeon or Abraxas since they had solved the Intelligence puzzle before. Harmony smiled as Garu and Simeon supported Abraxas, thinking that he can do this. "You can win!" she happily cheered for him as well.

Akiko INT: 22
Akiko smiles sweetly, sharing a knowing look at Simeon.
The old woman places a hand over her chest. "Well then...I certainly hope you will not take offense to my open display of cheating," she says with a mischievous grin. Following similar mannerisms to Simeon, she casts a spell upon herself as well. "Let us begin, shall we?"
The first moves upon the board are fast, and it seems as if the game will pass quickly, but as a few pieces to each side fall, and possibilities expand like a flower in bloom, play slows down. Well over an hour passes, Abraxas and Akiko each baiting each other and falling for each others' traps on numerous occasions, before finally, Abraxas takes the last piece.
Akiko stares at the game board. Moments pass before her gaze slowly rises to look upon the victor. "Isn't that a surprise? Old Akiko, soundly beaten. I commend your intelligence, you are quite the bright young man. Although it was never truly a battle of our wits, was it? We each had magical assistance in the matter, therefore it would not be fair to abide by our original terms. Shall we call it a draw? You may pass through, but I will keep the reward. In return, I will refrain from slaking my hunger today," she states.
Abraxas is rubbing the sides of his head, as if he has a headache. "Thank you, Akiko, for the game. Very invigorating!" He stands up from his chair and peers at her. "This is a very personal question," he says, "and please feel fine about not answering. But when you say 'slaking your hunger,' what do you mean specifically? I don't mean to cause offense by this, but i am curious. Would you have tried to take our blood from us? Our spirits?"
Akiko leans forward, shifting a few game pieces with her elbows, and grins all the wider. "I think you should just be grateful that you did not find out, dearie," she says.
One by one, she begins to move pieces back to their starting positions, resetting the board.
The exit to the room brings you into a now-familiar scene; a narrow hallway turns into another ascending staircase - the barrier to the next area is another wooden door.

Abraxas frowns slightly, but he shrugs. "Thank you kindly for the game," he says, nodding, and then follows Simeon and the others out of the room. Once they are in front of the next door, he whispers to himself, "It wouldn't have hurt the old bat to tell us what tricks she's up to."
But, he focuses on the door before them, investigating it for traps and dangers: 23.
Harmony had watched, surprised as she was cheating too but luckily Abraxas still won. But because of the cheating, the woman kept the reward as she now wondered what it would have been. She heard the others, nodding in agreement as she followed them out of the room.
Abraxas examines the door, seeing no sign of danger. Like the doors before it, this one doesn't seem to contain any wires, arcane writing, or other common signs of traps.
Garu watches as Abraxas checks the door over. Seeing him not find anything, she steadily proceeds to open the door, looking into the entryway before passing into it.

The green bricks inside of the room rise to a ceiling 30 feet above the ground, and the ozone smell is masked by heavy incense from within. This room is not as well decorated as Akiko's, but is still quite colorful with a few carpets and tapestries. Three women are seated within, in the midst of a discussion; a human, a half-elf, and an elf that radiate beauty, drawing a noise of intrigue from Mro Jus Bir.
"Oh...it is not often that any make it beyond Akiko. Hello, travelers. For what have you come here seeking?" the elf woman asks.
There is one other door in this room, along the left wall.
Abraxas looks the room over, hoping to learn more about the three women and thinking about any snatches of conversation he heard as they arrived: Investigation: 15
Harmony was very surprised by all the incense and colorful carpets and tapestries before seeing the three women, hearing the elf woman as she smiled. "I'm Harmony! It's nice to meet you all! We're sure passing through, exploring this place as we heard so much about it." she would happily say back to them, hoping that they are friendly.
The elf woman beams at Simeon, "Some might say you've stumbled into the greatest glory of all."
The human bows respectfully to Garu as the half-elf makes her way over to Harmony, running her hand along her shoulder as she walks a circle around her.
"What have we here? I've never seen a being such as you before, in all my life. On the outside you seem so fierce by nature, yet inside you counter that with such grace and naivety. It is...beautiful. I could stand to spend a little more time with you," she says. "Are you all in a hurry?"
Mro Jus Bir has stopped writing in his book, and has foregone his usual introduction in favor of a more slack-jawed approach.
For Abraxas:
Some of the designs on the tapestries resemble those that you've seen in Lyrikav, but there are others from Ruskivek and even other places on Rikirta that you recognize but have not had the opportunity to study. It seems these women have collected decor from just about everywhere, and it all matches to boot.
The women, despite their different racial makeups, seem to be very similar in their respective age; the human in her early twenties, the half-elf slightly older, and the elf likely less than 80 years old.
Harmony was surprised as the half-elf came over, feeling the hand along her shoulder and seeing the other walk in a circle around her. She listened to her, not understanding what naivety is. But surely it must be good since she also mentioned grace and beautiful, happy at the compliments and thinking about her question. "Thank you! Kind of? But I could always give a quick performance for you all!" Harmony had said back to her, smiling and always eager to perform for new people.
The human woman pouts at Abraxas, "Well...if you can't see for yourself, you may need to spend more time with us, hmm?"
The half-elf massages Harmony's shoulders, leaning in seductively. "We don't want a quick performance, my love. We're looking for a much longer period of services," she says with a giggle.

"Let us pass through ere she changes her mind," remarks Simeon under his breath.
Then to the old woman, he says, "Our gratitude you have, Akiko. Thank you."
Simeon makes his way to the room's exit, keeping one eye on the old woman as he does so.
