It now approaches evening as the sun dims at the center of the ringworld. You have recently returned from who knows what adventure, and are in need of spending money, a few of you are in the large plaza of the Market Sector of the city. Vendors sell their wares, from magically enhanced swords to advanced crossbow prototypes. You feel your gold case, and look around. You see a number of other adventurers shopping. Meanwhile, a few of you are in a restaurant on the sixth floor of one of the sunscrapers. From this vantage point, you smile as you look over the bustling marketplace. An hour passes, and you no doubt have picked up the necessary equipment or put your armor back on after having a delectable supper. Those in the restaurants take a magic lift down to the bottom floor, while those in the market plaza itself begin to head to the center of the plaza, all heading towards the western edge of the plaza, in order to leave via the Skylaryn train stations built throughout the city. As you do so, you feel the familiar rumble as several tons of magically propelled metal slows down, the 7 o'clock evening train having now arrived. You buy a ticket for 3 coppers, heading to board the train. A number of interesting individuals surround you, it appears there are two humans, a bird-like fellow, a bugbear, and Raxaldryn elf. The conductor, a Skylaryn Elf, blows his whistle. It is time to board the evening train.
You are boarding a train, say what you wish, but I need some perception checks.
Ander looks around, not quite comfortable in large crowds after his life in a small farming town. The occasional family triggers a pang of sadness in him as memories of being forced out of town by everyone he loves rushes back to the forefront of his mind, leaving the dark recesses of his mind he tries to trap them in.

Night looks around nervously, he is ready to hurry up and get on the train, being out in the open like this is just asking for a dagger in the back. But this is the life a noble lives. As the train arrives a raven flies down and perches on his shoulder. "There you are my friend" , he feeds the bird some seed and makes his way in the train. He quickly takes a seat close to an exit. Man this is a drag, thought Butorega ad he leaned on a metal pole. He was hopping to buy some new armor, but the prices were a bit to high for him. The last adventure did not go as well as he hopped so he did not have the amount of free coin to spend on new armor. As a result he was going to ho have to stick with the old chain mail. Butorega was partially hoping to pass the old suit of mail onto one of the many urchins back on low street. It would be a great boon to one of there lives and possibly give them a chance to advance in life, like he did .
Feeling the rumbling of the street Butorega took his toughs away from his home square and focused on the train. Paying for his ticket Butorega makes his way toward the train. He was going to need to find a way to make some more coin.
The train lurches forward, the magic engine beginning to power on. The engine's rumble can be felt under your feet as the train flies down its rail from the Market Sector. As the train begins picking up speed, Ander, and Thuggington, you notice several hobgoblins looking around nervously, wicked looking glaives upon their backs, and in their hands... glowing crossbows?

Ander's eyes widen and he begins walking toward the front of the train, attempting to discretely warn passengers of danger. "Prepare for danger, stay calm. Prepare for danger, stay calm."

Night takes a deep breath a the train lurches foward. "Soon this will all be over and I can get to safety.", he thinks to himself. He glances around the train cabin to get a feel for the crowd.

"Hobgoblins?!" Night begins to internally panic. "Why would they be on this train? It must be an assassination attempt in order to weaken my family house." Nightingale pulls out his shield and begins to pretend to inspect, but in actuality wants to be prepared for A fight. "It's a shame that someone must die today."
"ghaa", Butorega roared as he stood up on the train. All the good seats were already taken by the time Butorega had boarded and as a result he was stuck standing up. There were a few open seats, but Butorega did not like the look of the people sitting in them. Looking at his pointed ears and light toned skin it was clear that he was a half breed, a statement that often followed his childhood. Being half elf was better than being half orc, but it still meant that Butorega had to endure a few strange looks from both humans and elves. Ironically enough he was more popular around the other races.
With the next day of planning on his mind Butorega stood on the train holding the hand rail. As he stand there his eyes scan the usual crowd.

The Hobgoblin looks at Thuggington, 15, there was no resistance to your spell.
Hobgoblin insight check: 0. It looks at you, "There's gonna be a shakin' up on some of the lower levels of the city. They're giving out these baddies from the Goblinoid House of Baree. Use the phrase Elf-Fall to get one of your choice." The hobgoblin smiles as the train rumbles and begins to head towards a tunnel.
You can't quite hear what that human is saying, but the train has now reached the tunnel. You can see the glow of the strange crossbows and those of you with Darkvision see your world plummet into shades of gray.

I seem to be severely distracted by the crowds all around me.
