Inra, all 5'8" of her, stares up at Krov, the towering, acid-dripping, dragonborn barbarian, and... tilts her head slightly, expression otherwise unchanged from her gentle, eager smile. It isn't quite clear whether the threat failed to faze her... or if it just failed to even register. "Hmm... well, you can usually be certain that demons and devils are evil, for the most part. Most undead too, for that matter." It is immediately apparent on her face as a stray thought occurs to her, and she continues on in a progressively quieter tone, seemingly to no one in particular. "Though supposedly Master Ovrebarn was a lich, wasn't he? Nobody could really tell under all those robes. I suppose that raises the issue of knowing whether someone is demonic or undead in the first place. Plenty of them can disguise themselves, after all, even if most don't bother. Detection spells might be useful, but I don't keep any prepared. Should I? Would that be rude? Master Voldofir did also say that they weren't perfect, either..."
Green eyes dart back between the group as they continue to introduce themselves. "It's nice to meet you all... though I must confess I still have no idea where any of those places happen to be. Nor do I have any skill with an instrument, I'm sorry to say. What is your purpose for traveling, if I might ask? I've often been told that travel can be quite perilous, so I would be happy to escort you to your destination and protect you from any pests or perils that might cross your path."
Whiskey looks visibly confused at this fairly small human “Er.... well presently we’re headed to help out some gnomes if you would like to help, I suppose you’re welcome to accompany us. So long as everyone else is on board.”
"Greetings, Indra Dawnborn. I am Renin, of the distant forests," he says, trying to recall how humans typically made introductions. He couldn't think of much, but there was one custom he remembered clearly. The wood elf offered his slender hand to Inra for a handshake.
"How did you come to be out here, alone, in these lands?" he asks her, the idea of walking the land clueless and unguided being one that is nearly unthinkable to the ranger.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Inra's eyes widen at the mention of one of the great scaled beasts. "A white dragon?!" A focus comes over her face, as she tries to remember if she's heard any tales of that particular species. ((Arcana:5))
Momentarily distracted by her monstrous musings, Inra goes to reciprocate Renin's handshake in her accustomed fashion - using her full strength. ((Strength:4))
"Well, to answer your question, I've been sent on a Quest of sorts from my gods."
"Ah, you happen to be an agent of the divine then? How wonderful, always a good type to have around! If it isnt too much might I ask what god you follow?"
Whiskey leans in a bit with his question looking very expectant

Inra, you have heard that they freeze their food before eating. That they are vicious and spiteful. And that they are the most feral and least intellectual of the dragons.
"I would be more than happy to tell you... if I even knew myself. They've lent their strength to my Order since times long lost, helping us stand firm against the forces of Darkness. We're not even sure whether it is one god or many, just that they protect the Light."
Inra sags a bit, letting out a sigh that's equal parts despondent and exasperated. "For all their assistance, they're not exactly the most talkative. I said I am on a Quest, but in truth I haven't the faintest idea what I'm meant to do. Still, every journey begins with a single step, and warning people of a loose dragon certainly seems a worthy enough endeavor."
Renin winces in pain as Inra crushes his fingers, doing his best to grin and bear it. He did not recall a contest of strength being part of this greeting ritual.... perhaps it was a way for strangers to test each other when first meeting?
"It seems strange to serve gods who do not speak," Renin observes as they begin moving once more towards their destination. "Though perhaps it was their providence which guided you to our company. It must be low odds indeed that, across all the wilds, we should cross paths by mere happenstance."
You fight evil too? Splendid, i think we will be g r e a t friends. But indeed it is strange that your god or gods do not speak... But hey, at least your gods are good and fight evil... Krov looks behind his shoulder, looking over to a tree, catching a glimpse of the one that follows him. Mine only seems to care about destruction and pain, if this being even is a god at all... His scales shiver as he looks back to his companions. But im glad to know that you follow "good" gods, or that at least you have good principles, ones to fight against evil.
Krov tries his best not to look back, looking and walking ahead with a bit of speed. He fears the thing that follows him, tho he does not show it, he refuses to let fear win, he refuses to let HIM win. Be that thing a god or a fiend or just a random spirit or soul, perhaps even death itself, he refuses to let it win, his pride is too big to be shattered.

Inra seems to perk up slightly... moreso than she was already, at least. "Gnomes, you say? What is it that they need assistance with?"

Krov chuckles a bit at the tiny human and her odd behaviour
You seem nice enough. We need to warn the gnomes about a dragon. Theres a dragon on the loose, a white one, linked with ice if i remember correctly?

(No idea. Renin wanted to return to town but the party had other ideas and he's an easily swayed sort.)

Should have mentioned the note sooner. Been so wary of railroading that haven't kept on what should lead you to. That will get better.
