Hidden from sight still by the illusion, Austin is able to grab the remaining contents from the table, that Ura had not taken previously. Aside from the gold ring that Ura now possessed, Austin took 2 leather coin purses, 1 ceremonial dagger, 2 rolled up parchments, 1 goblet, 3 books, 1 staff, 1 fancy looking narrowbrimmed hat, 1 set of purple silk robes, 2 sets of blue noble clothing, 1 short sword, and 2 remaining rings.
The voice from the balcony called out again, "If you do not drop your trick and come out, I will fire another volley of bolts."
As the group was stuck without an exit, Anearis relented. He motioned to the other to stay put while he stepped out of the illusion, hopefully to negotiate for the group. Doing so, the elf began focusing on all the vibration in the ground that he could feel, his sense heighten to incoming threats. (Bonus action to Patient defense).
"I am out. We will agree to your terms. Allow us to treat our wounded and we will oblige."
Anearis confirms that the voice did in fact belong to the guard that had been standing next to the Emperor, and since having turned to leave, prior to the conflict, the Emperor had not returned.
The guard looked down at Anearis. Judging by the guards face and tone, Anearis was able to get the idea that he was impatient and did not appear to bluff about his willingness to just finish the party off.
"And the rest of you. Take the wounded and go." He paused briefly, before he began to count. "1..."
Ura sighs, and maintains the illusion in case of any surprises, but simply makes the stones spread out and melt over the floor into their original positions. "I'm going to need some help to lug the big guy around,"she mentions to Anaeris, already having one of Uthal's floppy arms slung over her shoulder.
Before the illusion comes down, if possible, Austin knocks over the table that held the items. She would then move to help in getting the group out of here as quickly as possible.
The guards on the ground level that previously blocked the door through which the party initially entered, parted ways and made a path for the group to move through, back the same way they came. They stood in the way of anyone that may attempt to move elsewhere, but left a path open back down the stairs to the storage basement level.
Anearis walks over to help Ura carry the massive form of Uthal. When they’re all ready, Anearis will begin moving towards the exit that the guards are presenting to the group.
Dragging Uthal along, the party finds themselves 'alone' at the bottom of the stairs, in the basement level. As far as the party members can tell, no one else is down there, however by looking over one's shoulder, and up the stairwell, several guards are still in view.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Anearis sets Uthal down with Ura’s help.
(Did someone have a healing potion? I thought the Right Hand’s man gave us some.)
He then proceeds to look for a healing potion that Uthal had. Once he finds it, he pours it down the giant’s mouth and makes sure he doesn’t choke on the liquid.
"I do not have any potions." Austin says with a shake of her head. "And you won't want me to try to doctor anyone... I am likely to make things worse not better." She steps aside, content to keep an eye on the guards as the others work. "Any chance we can get a cleric or healing potion?" She calls up to them. "Would get us out of here a lot quicker..."
Carefully pouring the red liquid down Uthal's gullet, the goliath regains both a bit of his health and his consciousness, finding himself no longer in the throne room. Instead Uthal awakens to find himself back in the palaces bowels; the storage basement where the party had first entered, from the sewer tunnels below.
Uthal's eyes blink open and he looks around before groaning when he sees Ura. "I'll take it we took the uptrumped turd's deal then? Or else I've been cast down into the seven hells."

Gronk in Bastion, Kingdom of Medrin Elixisysin Talaveroth (Team 2) Uthal in Lost Continent of Theviranne
There is a faint murmur of noise coming from up the stairs, likely by the legion of guards still hanging about on the ground floor. The door where the party had previously hid the three unconscious guard bodies was closed still, though no commotion from beyond it provided any indication if they were conscious or even still there, for that matter. There's a slow dripping sound from the direction of the shallow pool of water they noticed after first climbing the ladder to this level the first time.
Following the Emperor's exit, having agreed to the terms of the Emperor's guard, that they would be allowed to live if they left now, the party's options were still limited, but not one-track.
The guardsmen blocked any return to the palace itself, they had two, possibly three choices, once they descended back into the tunnels below. They could go back the way they came to the Old Man's dominion, which Nik had advised against. They could press on and leave the city by the same way that Nik had suggested. Or they could get lost in the tunnels with the prospects of finding themselves end up somewhere else in the city entirely, which Nik had not voiced any opinion or thoughts towards.
On top of that, the party had yet to explore the other side of the storage basement, as had been seen on the Old Man's map. The Old Man's people had informed them that this level had been picked clean of anything of value, but nothing was further discussed.
"So, I vote we get out of here." Austin says as she moves back towards her companions. "I doubt if we will find anything of use here, and, if we are not seen leaving, then we might as well have just let them fill us with bolts there in the throne room." She nods to their revived companion. "I doubt if we can trust the Old Man, though he might be interested to know he has some traitors in his midst. Not sure I care enough to fill him in on that though, as he has done nothing for us that makes me respect or even like him all that much. So my vote is just get out of this place and move on towards the royals."
Anearis helps Uthal to his feet before nodding at Austin suggestion.
"Agreed. We have other matters to attend to. The Old Man will have to figure out that there traitors among his ranks. I do not know if could even manage to navigate the sewers back to his hideout. We should pursue our hunt for the Berossus. But where to? Do we still have the map to the shrines?"
Uthal points down the path that Nak had indicated before. "This way. I think the old man knew, or at least the brothers did. We're supposed to not go back there now. I suspect they'll find us."

Gronk in Bastion, Kingdom of Medrin Elixisysin Talaveroth (Team 2) Uthal in Lost Continent of Theviranne
Given time to actually think without physically facing impending death, the party appeared to come to an agreed upon course of action: get out of the city while they still can.
Forgoing any motive of defiance or curiosity, the party leaves the unexplored storage basement of the palace, and through the direction pointed out by Uthal, leaves the city of Wutai.
Having left the corrupt Emperor with their lives, but without any additional information or leads, the party followed the tunnel away from everything they had just experienced over the past day or so. The tunnel eventually developed a trickle and then a steady stream of water, underfoot. Only a couple inches high, the party managed to easily traverse until they exited the hole where the stream dumped into a small pond. Behind them, the mountainous land on which the city of Wutai sat. Ahead of them, a dark farm land. Nik had advised Uthal that if the party took this route, the two dwarfs would be there to meet them.
It was early morning, but still too early for the sun. Off in the distance, the party identified lantern light. It was too far at this point for any of them to identify anything further in the dark.
"Ok, well let's find a place to camp." Austin says with a tiredness in her voice that went far deeper than just physical. Glancing at the farmland all around, she shrugged and nodded back to the tunnel. "Want to camp in there or find somewhere outside?"

Seeing as Uthal is able to walk on his own, Anearis invites the rest of the party to move back to where they came in and leave as soon as possible.
