The wolves snap alert at a sound and as it comes closer, their snarls grow louder to point of vicious barks and test the strength of the chains that creak under the pulls of desperate creatures.
As the body is slumped before them, the wolves spend a time sniffing before their noses are drawn to an open wound, which is quickly dug into and they begin to feed a hunger of too many days old. A tension is eased as the wolves are left gnawing on bones and nibbling on a corpse suddenly missing a large portion of its distinguishable features...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The wolves are far too distracted with their meal or succumbed to the weariness of dealing with a heavy meal.
Hausa, a quick inspection of the chains and you see they are wrapped crudely and too tight, rubbing around their necks causing sores. You are also quick to notice the locks are hardly intricate, few manoeuvres could free them...
Sleight of Hand: 24
Hausa manages to squeeze his fingers through and hook the metal chains, a similar lock on all three wolves. It takes a moment for them to realise they are free and they scamper out and away...
Alexeisees a shaft of some sort, you see now thick smoke coming out, from the smell it's quite clear it's coming from a fire but the source you can't really see...
"What happen? Goblins run?" Geo glances around furtively in the dark, hand on her greatsword handle as the sounds of scampering creatures rushes past. As Alexei mentions torches, she pauses before reaching for one in the darkness. "Torch now? Light alert prey."
Craithand Geowaddle make their way towards Alexei'svoice. The smell of smoke is quickly apparent, but either it's wood, or something else, is difficult to discern...
As Geosparks up the torch, this is much to a striking revelation for Craithand genasi; in this natural space in the cavern, you see a small pile of rocky debris. At its peak, you see thick smoke billowing out. It is difficult to pinpoint what is burning...

"I believe its safe to light your torches now, the beastes scampered off. I'm going to take a look around, there might be something in here."
Alexei enters the cave and starts walking around, looking for traces or clues that might lead them to Gundren and Sildar."

"Goblins? What? No no. Those were wolves, come now. I've found something."
Alexei gesticulates in the darkness, forgetting or not knowing that geo and craith cannot see him
"Geo no like dark," she mutters, shuffling in the direction of Alexei's voice.
"Craith no like dark either..." Craith says as he does the same.
Hausa looks at both of them a bit baffled. “It is not much dark.”

Craith and Geo waddle make their way towards Alexei's voice. The smell of smoke is quickly apparent, but either it's wood, or something else, is difficult to discern...
"Is dark for Geo," she mutters in reply to Hausa, then sniffs the air. "Is fire?"
Geo proceeds to pull a torch from her pack to light it, tired of stumbling around in the dark. ((not sure if there's any check I need to make here))
As Geo sparks up the torch, this is much to a striking revelation for Craith and genasi; in this natural space in the cavern, you see a small pile of rocky debris. At its peak, you see thick smoke billowing out. It is difficult to pinpoint what is burning...
Curious, Geo walks towards the stone pile. She will try to pick up rocks off the pile to see what is burning inside.
Geo Peception Check: 4
The heat and the dust rises and gets into the genasi's eyes. While she's unable to a view, she can tell it's not anything cooking...
Geo coughs, backing away and rubbing her eyes, muttering “bad fire.”
The genasi turns to look for any other exits from this room.
With the smoke putting snubbing the teams curiosity, they look for another dank corner where the goblins lurk...
