Auric:

Auric pays for the food out of his personal funds and eats well with his friends and followers once they are all gathered back at the manor.  He uses the lunchtime to discuss the job he found for them, hoping that Captain Heatherton comes through with a good cover for them.

"Would be nice to get out of the tavern and do something." Valen agrees as he listens to the job.  "Count me in..."

Mal'thrae chews on his lunch while listening to Auric. "Sounds fun. I'm in, as well."

"Oh getting out sounds delightful," Melody says with a smile, "great way to find new stories to tell."

Urukar shakes his head.  "I have, uh, pulled my hamstring, probably from all the extra walking Mal'thrae has us doing.  I will stay here for now, and 'sample' the deliveries when they arrive... to make sure they are suitable."

Heatherton shows up a while later. "Wasn't easy, but I've found a wagon for you. I, ah...accidentally let slip to some rather unsavory sorts that there will be a large shipment of custom weapons and gold leaving tomorrow morning. It'll be waiting for you outside of the Watch building. Good luck."

With that, he turns on his heel and heads out. In the meantime, another wagon has pulled up, and a large human gets out. He goes to the back, and brings a cart full of meat to the door, and knocks.

“Sounds exciting.” Mal’thrae grins as the guard explains their task for tomorrow.

When the delivery man knocks on the door, he answers, greeting the man with a wave. “Good morning, sir. We’ll help you get that in - oi guys, meat’s here!”

 Auric:

"Thank you, Captain," says Auric with a smile.  "Here, I've saved an ale for you if you're in the mood to drink one before you depart.  We hope to be set up soon to pour from our own kegs."  Offering the mug, Auric adds, "My friends and I will leave first thing in the morning for the east gate and the bandit.  Excellent work in helping us bait the trap."

Auric: He waves off, "No, no thank you. Perhaps later, I'm on duty you know."

Mal- When you answer the door, you see the man is indeed quite large, with a sloping forehead, slack jaw, and dead eyes. They bore into you, his expression never changing. "I goddit. Werz tha larder."

"This way, thanks." Mal'thrae takes him back into the kitchen (or the cellar, not sure where (or what) a larder is, other than that it's for meat.)

Valen stays put, leaning against the wall as the guard, then the meat-man arrive.  He keeps  his eyes on them, making sure they are not spies or something.

Melody skips around, intermittently playing her Viol and and moving around small things. It's clear she's very excited.

The man plods along behind Mal'thrae, and unloads the meat into the larder. (We'll say kitchen...I dunno either) 

He starts plodding his way back out, and stops in the dining room, looking around. "Wad abboutta tip? I don' werk fer free."

"...yeah, sure. No problem." Mal'thrae fishes into his coin pouch for 3 gp. "This ought to do it. Take care, sir. "

He looks at the gold, seemingly satisfied. "Be back inna month." He leaves unceremoniously.

"Bubye," Melody waves at him. "So now what shall we do? Still need staff... unless you want to tend the bar yourself," she giggles.

Auric:

"My squire and page can help out in a pinch, but it would be best to have staff trained for such things running the place," offers Auric.  Looking around, he says, "I'm off to do some shopping--I'm going to need an oversized cloak if I want the bandits to think I am just a regular wagon driver instead of an armed and armored warrior--unless one of you lot wants to drive the wagon tomorrow and have me stay in the covered section, ready to spring our surprise."

"Maybe Valen or I can drive, daggers or holy symbols are easier to conceal than a sword." Mal'thrae says, leaning back. To Melody, he replies:

"I went to a couple of people to get the word out. There's a shop that I paid to help advertise us. All we need to do now is sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Honestly I'd love to tend the bar, or at least rotate with the one we're paying to do it."

"Probably ok to lend a hand there, but we need full-time staff to tend the place when we have to go do something." Valen puts in.  "Probably should see about doing some looking for staff to do that when we have a chance."

"Oh, I do love interviewing people," Melody says with a grin. "If you all want to take care of that... whatever it is you're doing I'll see if I can find us some staff."
