It seems to be a large chamber with furnishings of some kind lit by torches, there is someone moving about in there but they are not in your line of sight.
"Hold up." Connar whispers to Tom. "Somebody is inside. Are you ready to take him?" He slowly readies his swords, and rests his shoulder against the door, ready to shove it open.

Hatch stops in front of the door the thudding is coming from. "Well, it ain't skeletons, they're quiet, and they can't get out unless I open the door on my side so..." Hatch bangs on the door. "Anything intelligent and living in there?" he asked, figuring it can't hurt.

Everything within the room goes utterly quiet as Hatch bangs on the door and then suddenly there is a frenzy of thumps and scrapes against the door which does not let up...
Hatch slowly backs away. "Well, that door has held for hundreds of years, let's hope it holds a few more days," he whispered as he rejoined the others informing them that nothing good is behind that door.
As Tom, Connor and the others ventured down the passageway they neared the large chamber able to glimpse it in its entirety.
The first thing the companions note is that the room is filled with tools of pain and death – it’s a torture chamber and racks, cages, iron maidens, and tables covered in blades and straps are varied and stained with dark, menacing colours. In the middle of the room, a hunched figure slowly turns to face them; nine feet tall, broad and pale, and as the figure turns the leering grin and empty eye sockets seem to rejoice in the fact that you have entered his domain – the hulking form lifts a serrated cleaver and stomps towards you, the rotted leather apron hanging in tatters from his chest splays out like wings.
Rufus stares in dread at the behemoth moving towards him and his companions like a living nightmare. He says in a dead pan voice to no one in particular, "There be an ill wind approaching."
The left hand door is ajar and as Brocc peers through it he sees a long corridor that opens into a large well lit chamber...
