"Well that, that was, uh, unexpected. Perhaps I should be more careful." Connar's cocky tone is clearly diminished. "Thank you my good gnome." His gives a distracted nod to his savior. Stunned by the recent events, he will follow the group, probably near Tom.

Five percent of the people think; ten percent of the people think they think; and the other eighty-five percent would rather die than think.
An intelligent man believes only half of what he hears, a wise man knows which half. (Even Esar)
Don't wait for the perfect moment to strike, strike in the current moment and make it perfect. (William Yeats)

Coming to the end of the door lined corridor it turns left and peeking around the corner you see it ends after a few metres at a sturdy iron and oak door.
Rufus moves forward with the group. He is amazed at this great hunk of earth travelling gracefully through the sky. The most recent debacle with the whistling door a heady reminder of the powerful magic compelling the dungeon to fly to its unknown destination.
Connar nods. "That was a good idea Rufus." Connar repositions himself near the door, close enough to stop anything from coming out, but no so close that he would fall should this door lead outside.

Coming to the end of the door lined corridor it turns left and peeking around the corner you see it ends after a few metres at a sturdy iron and oak door.
Brocc moves up and checks the door to see if it is locked or trapped...
Investigation: 16
Rufus moves forward with the group. He is amazed at this great hunk of earth travelling gracefully through the sky. The most recent debacle with the whistling door a heady reminder of the powerful magic compelling the dungeon to fly to its unknown destination.
Tom points his bow at the door that Brocc is investigating. He might be shaking a bit now as that event with Connar put him off his game.
He frowns his brow and tries to refocus...
Brocc checks the door, it is locked and does not appear to be trapped....there doesn't seem to be a keyhole...
"So, can you open it or should we try smashing it down?" Hatch asked, holding his axe ready to strike the door down.
As Hatch lifts his axe he notes a series of interlocking squares etched into the metal of the door....

"Or maybe...look at this," Hatch said, showing the others the etched squares. "Some kind of puzzle or locking mechanism perhaps?"
Rufus moves forward to get a better view of the puzzle door. He scrutinizes the intristic shapes to determine if there is a pattern he can discern.

Brocc stands back as the others start to investigate the door as well.
It seems to be a very basic geometric pattern of squares etched into metal...squares.....in....metal.....
"Can you make any sense if it? Do the squares move or pop out or push in?" Hatch asked Rufus.
Rufus reaches out to touch the door and see if any of the metal squares move on the door.
They do not but he recalls seeing a metal square of the same size before.
Ahh... Rufus turns to Brocc and asks, "Do ye still have the jangle we took from around the behemoth's neck? Perhaps it be a key to yon door."
Tom is with Connar, watching intently and keeping guard as the others fuss with the door mechanism.
"Ah yes Rufus great idea!"
"Worth a try." Brocc agrees, pulling out the square and trying it in the door.
Connar nods. "That was a good idea Rufus." Connar repositions himself near the door, close enough to stop anything from coming out, but no so close that he would fall should this door lead outside.
