"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The towering demonic form weathers the blows and radiant magics and seems about to strike back despite its many wounds when Banzos dagger cuts deep into its thigh sluicing scalding black blood down onto the river bank. The demon collapses onto one knee then is almost instantly consumed by black fire its last act on this Plane a glowering look of promise in its eyes directed at Banzo.
The riverbank is quiet again except for the companions ragged breathing........the vegetation around the bank is blackened and dead near where the fiend stood and where its blood ran into the water fish float to the surface before the rushing water washes it away.....
Tzedaka looks at the group, “who is in need of chealing?”
”Dis is dee first of many tests, width each foe growing more powerful as her fear grows.”
She will try to purify the damaged area with Enwynn after a short rest.
( Everyone takes a Short Rest. The damage appears fairly minimal.....likely a little rain will have things right or at least on the way to right soon enough.)
During the short rest Banzo will read and study his spellbook (use Arcane Recovery) to regain a 1st and 2nd level spell slot.

Tzedaka seems to rest, floating just above the ground. She seems quiet, lost in her own thoughts. (Anyone need healing in addition to that gained by hit dice?)
As she floats motionless, her body begins healing, the sun and energy around her closing wounds caused by the demon.
Herman remained silent after the fight (as it really tore him down). Now, after having spent one hour stiching the wounds and praying the wolf tribe ancenstors, he simply nods to Enwyn: he is ready to go

The companions continued along the river bank for the remainder of the afternoon eventually coming to a bridge and heading south along the eastern edge of Darkwood Forest once the roads converged. Forging on through the evening they eventually come in sight of the white stone tower once more but instead of passing by as they had on their original journey they made their way into the forest edge and soon came upon the towers garden.
Lush growth surrounded the gardens at the base of the tower and Ennwyn was able to convince the plant life to let them approach the door without risk of thorn, poison or....ingestion....
Knocking on the door there were muttered calls from within and eventually a tall elderly but hale man with long white hair and beard opened the door.
" Ah, Ennwyn. And The Heroes of Chalice.....well....some of them?"
While they travel, Tzedaka takes care to cover herself from head to toe with her gray Libra robes. She also places a scarf over her face, covering all but her eyes.
"Ah....it is one of dee star pupils." She says to herself. Then she studies the man. "Gareeth Yaztromo, Deez cheroes are in need of your wisdom." She smiles radiantly.
"Dey chave been cursed by a demon." She points to their arms where the tattoos are visible. "Dee Night Demon, Shakor." She turns and spits to the left.

ooc: is there time (or need) to collect the blood of demon?
( There is certainly time to collect some of it, if you have a flask or similar.)

Ennwyn looked around, " Are we all ok to get back on the road? We should strive to reach Yaztromo as soon as possible."
Herman remained silent after the fight (as it really tore him down). Now, after having spent one hour stiching the wounds and praying the wolf tribe ancenstors, he simply nods to Enwyn: he is ready to go
Tzedaka comes out of her trance like state, "I am ready, Cheroes of Allansia."
Banzo finishes up and puts his spellbook away.
"I too, am ready!"

(OOC: Who is this NPC please?)
( It can be assumed that this is Gareth Yaztromo, as it is his tower and he knows Ennwyn.)
