"I am Talis the White." The white-haired woman says to Alhorn. "It is my belief we can aid each other as we have a common goal I believe." She smiles as she nods to Alhorn. "Your treasure was stolen. Well I know where it is and can even aid you in getting there. What say you?" She seems polite but not warm. It is clear she wants something from you, but is willing to negotiate to get it.
Alhorn looks for a drink before finding a seat next to Talis the White (any recollection there? History 16 ) and saying: “I am Alhorn. It seems you must know that already, though. I’ll make no secret of my curiosity for how you know what you know. I’m all ears for your words, and eyes for your beauty, Talis the White.” He leans in, the eager listener. “Let’s get along.”
Ulric looks over the group, "Where did Alhorn go? I don't believe we are in immediate danger but it might be best if we try and stay together. We don't know what else to expect."
"Agreed. Thine companions stated they were cultists as well as thieves. Is that a certainty? Thus far the only unagreeable company hath been the trolls."
Germain nods, "Very certain. We found them with dragon eggs protected by drakes, they stole an ancient mask associated with chromatic dragons from the estate of a friend of ours, I believe we'd found some correspondence indicating their alignment, and before we teleported here we raided and destroyed a smaller stronghold of theirs populated by individuals who made their allegiance to the cult quite clear and open. But I don't know that this place belongs to them, or was simply a convenient exit point for their teleportation."
Naroth turns to the elderly gentleman, "We are new to this establishment, and did not see anyone downstairs to talk to, who resides here and what services do you offer?"
The elderly man looks you all over for a few moments, clearly looking for something as he checks your gear out with slow careful movements of his eyes. During this examination Germain and Fletch can have arrived. "You are not with them then?" The man asks, eyes narrowing as he finishes his careful study. "I see no symbol of the cult of the dragon on any of you, but few others come through here..." He leaves it hanging at that, clearly waiting for a response.
“If I were to say we were no friends of the dragon cult, would you react positively or negatively?” She turns towards Ulric and whispers: “He went upstairs. I tried convincing him it was a better idea to check the rooms without tracks leading to them first, but he thought it was better to follow them.”

Germain hears this and nods before quietly heading upstairs, just in case he needed support.
Talis smiles, though it does not reach her eyes. "Very well." She says as Alhorn takes a drink of his ale. "I can tell you the treasure is being taken to a flying castle docked not far from here. Getting onto that castle though will be hard, if not impossible, without my aid." She glances up then, towards the stairs Alhorn just came up...
Germain
Germain comes up the stairs, finding Alhorn sitting at a table with a beautiful white-haired woman. She gives Germain a welcoming glance, though her demeaner is rather cool. "Welcome. I was just explaining the current location of the treasure you are following. Would you like to have a seat to listen as well?"
Main-floor group
"I have no love for the cult of the dragon." The elderly man says with a glance out into the hall. "They came into my master's home, slew him, then took it over."
”Oh yes, come in Germain. I was just having a chat with Miss Talis the White. She was just about to explain how she has come to be aware of the transport of my goods to a ‘castle in the sky’, which is… well, it sounds like something extraordinary, in its own right.”

Germain shakes his head politely, "I prefer to stand, but thank you. This castle does sound interesting, do you happen to know how they came by such a powerful piece of magic?"
(Would Germain know anything about flying castles? History/Arcana, same modifier: 12)
"I believe one of the Cloud Giants has offered it for the cult's use." Talis says with another of her cool smiles. She turns from Germain and back to Alhorn. "All of the treasure collected by the cult has been taken to this castle, and then will be transported elsewhere. If you wish to do anything about that fact, then you will need to get onto the castle." She looks between Alhorn and Germain with a slight curl of one of her lips. "I am the only one who can get you on that castle though. All I ask in return is that you make sure that treasure does not get to where the cult wishes it taken."

You would know that flying castles are often built, and owned, by cloud giants. They are very rare, and are controlled by powerful navigation orbs.

"Some of the cultists are upstairs." The elderly servant responds to Naroth. "Talis, and her bodyguards, are up there now." He looks to the other servents then back to Naroth. "The rest have moved on to a flying castle docked not far from here. The castle is where they have been taking wagonloads of something ever since they murdered my master and took over this place."

Alhorn clears his throat. “Miss Talis, this is invaluable information, truly. Your generosity, and the deal you offer is an excellent one. I am but a merchant, and I can hardly turn down a deal that sweet. But I have to stick out my neck for it. I don’t do that. And this seems to be doing some of your own dirty work, which I definitely don’t do - blind to the risks, at least.”
”So - assure me. How do you know all this? What do you stand to gain?”
Hearing the news Naroth snarls, "Then I beg your leave, seems I need to go deal with things upstairs, you might want to seek safety." With that Naroth will turn around and look to his companions, "shall we?"
Fletch finishes the last of his notes regarding their situation and the floating castle, which of course he finds fascinating. "Indeed, Alhorn and Germain may be in peril. Let us rush to their side lest-" The voice changes to a feminine one, "Alhorn's sweet talking gets him into trouble again."
(This is before anyone else would arrive upstairs...) "I have my reasons for wishing the treasure not to reach its destination." Talis says with a shrug. "My reasons are my own though. As long as my wishes are in alignment with your own, I see no troubles." She looks to Germain, then back to Alhorn. "I am offering something you can get no where else. If you do not wish to take the opportunity I offer, then that is your choice."

Alhorn stands. “I believe we can reach an agreement. You share the location, we’ll take care of things from there.”
