Glimbul interjects himself between Nenne and the room. “Wait a moment, who is to say you will end up where he is. And if it dispels all magic what good does it do if you cant cast any spells?”
"What do you expect of me, to sit here like a coward? I should have never let him go by himself in the first place!"
Her eyes redden. "I don't want him to die alone. Not with what that...thing does to souls. I can't bear it. I can't." She shoots a glance at Boosey as a tear falls. "I don't know what else to do. H-help me. Please."
Boosey stand there, still holding the frayed rope in one hand, staring at it stupidly. Nenne addressing him brings him back to his senses. "Quickly, has anyone got another cup?" He pats fruitlessly at his equipment. "We go after him, we've come so far we all get through this together or......" He looks to the chamber. "We fill that cup with water, Glimbul, you fire a bolt at that candle and put it out, then we all go in there together." He gives Nenne a comforting look. "We'll get him out!"
Ignoring the lava as much as is possible, Boosey, holding the cup with water in it, upends the vessel over the candle and pushes down with it to try to stop it relighting.
Nenne's spell fails to function. No magical light gathers, nor does she feel the precense of any magic gathering. Anyome aware of protective magics on them feels the absense of all of it. Magical items feel the same.
When Boosey extinguishes the flame, three distict Pop! sounds and the fluttering of stomachs signify teleportation. The three of you find yourselves in a very differerent, same sized room.
You appear in a cell that smells moldy. Its damp walls are covered with living snails and oysters, and feature sculptural reliefs of tidal waves destroying coastal cities and ships. A merfolk skeleton embedded in one wall clutches an iron sconce fitted with a burning red candle. Suddenly, lukewarm water begins to pour into the cell through rows of tiny holes in the ten-foot-high ceiling.
Boosey quickly fills the cup with water again. Just before he douses the flame he says "We may need to eat one of those..." and waves his hand at the snails and oysters on the wall. "Dine or drown the plate said" He grabs an oyster, and grimacing downs it raw in one gulp, desperately trying not to retch afterwards.
Nenne follows suit, dining on the creatures as the others did. She casts Spare the Dying on a snail just to see whether her magic will fail as before, and takes a lungful of air in preparation for its scarcity.
Nenne's magic fails to work again. Three distinct pops sound again and the party is teleported.
Nenne and Boosey find themselves alone. You immediately begin to choke as you are teleported to a room with no light, no sound, and no air. Sculptural reliefs on the walls of this dark cell show tornadoes uprooting trees and tearing cities apart. An aarakocra skeleton embedded in one wall holds an iron sconce bearing an unlit red candle.
Boosey taps Nenne on the arm, points to his mouth and makes a blowing motion. Hoping against hope, he tries to blow at the candle with the air still in his lungs.
Nenne watches him and feels her chest tingle with her trapped breath. She taps him on the shoulder and gestures to stop wasting his air, then points at the walls. She proceeds to start feeling around for anything that might allow air into the room, or ignite the wick.
Boosey takes the lead in the frantic search for something. Anything. The pair of heroes finds tiny devil skulls with gaping mouths in silent screams hidden inside the tornado. Under the roots of the trees, tiny skulls are carved, again hidden from a casual look. Whoever carved this took great care to sculpt with exquisite detail. Boosey and Nenne both have to wonder if the aarocokra was another poor victim to Acererak's reign of terror.
Nenne grimaces at the bard's distress and holds up a finger, begging his patience for one more round. She turns toward the only breakable thing in the room, the skeleton, pulls out her mace and her dagger, and tries to shatter and carve up its bones.

As soon as the party filters in, the door slams closed again. Molten lava rains from the ceiling adding sting to the blasting heat of the room.
Ignoring the lava as much as is possible, Boosey, holding the cup with water in it, upends the vessel over the candle and pushes down with it to try to stop it relighting.
Glimbul begins to check the walls for any hidden mechanisms or clues.
Holding the bard's hand, Nenne attempts to cast Resistance on him.
Glimbul begrudgingly grabs for some snails and begins to eat them before taking a large breath of air. And waiting in anticipation
Nenne continues her search, mindful of every passing second.
Boosey helps Nenne search.
The pair spend one more round searching the walls for anything that might help them, hidden buttons or clues in the sculptures
Aside from leering devil faces in other hidden locations, the pair find nothing. Boosey starts to shake in desperate need of air.
Nenne grimaces at the bard's distress and holds up a finger, begging his patience for one more round. She turns toward the only breakable thing in the room, the skeleton, pulls out her mace and her dagger, and tries to shatter and carve up its bones.
