"Raiding, conspiration, blackmail, murder, it´s all the same to Worlo. If he makes gold from his actions, he´ll do anything. As for their plans, I bet they didn´t want to be hanged and got what they wanted. Their goals for the future will probably involve establishing a permanent and powerful base to harass and raid the shipping lines across the Shining Sea. You want to confront the priest directly or do you have ruse in mind?"
"You misunderstand me. I merely am informing you of my weaknesses. I am aware of the need to be strategic. I was a martial tactician, after all. When it comes to exchanging words, however, deceit and scheming is not among my strengths."
Eku interjects again from her quiet corner, "I do not understand this dancing about in the shadows. Ask the man directly if you would know something. I know this isn't my mission directly, but this whole web of lies is exhausting. These people must not sleep a wink."
Nenne smiles at Eku's statement. "I, too, find it far more difficult to deceive. And yet," her expression shifts to something a bit more piercing and pointed as she looks at the guide, "some people deceive by being withholding. This, to me, is no more honorable, nor any less exhausting. To reach hoarded truths, one must occasionally be strategic with one's questions. Wouldn't you agree, madam guide?"
"So you´re saying we should confront him and wait for his reaction? If he meets anyone or runs? Hm, could work. Nenne, your approach is great. Go ahead!"
Nenne watches her go, so focused on the woman's exit that it takes a few moments for Allister's words to register. When they do, she starts blinking a lot.
"My approach?" she repeats, a little lost. "I...ah...very well, then. But I would hear from the rest of you. I have spoken far too much." She lowers her head and takes half a step backward as if trying to escape an invisible spotlight.
"What´s up? There was no hidding meaning or sarcasm in my words. Eku was right, probably you are right. We can try a direct approach and see how the priest reacts. Let´s just wait till we talk to the guards, so they don´t have a chance to hatch a plan if they are work together." He walks over to Nenne. "Don´t stop believing. In you and your conviction, or you´ll end a self centered ass like some of us. Now, excuse me, I´ll take a nap." Allister gets his pack and goes outside the fort to find a safe spot to rest.
Eku paces some thirty feet from the building with Sthara before answering the sorceress, "I did. I did not mean to pry. I only feared for your safety. I could not hear any of your words."
At the end of their walk, when the rain began to drizzle downwards, Funderburk and Dunk rode back to the fort. Each have enjoying their walk in some way, Funderburk tied Dunk once more on a tree with nice ferns and a bed of grass to rest on that was near to the fort.
The Vedalken, after getting through the front gate, walked for only a short while before he happened upon Sthara and Eku. Asking them to catch him up on anything he missed, he listened to their stories, taking note on what they planed to do with the priest and Sthara's opinion of it. Without saying a word or any facial expressions, he nodded his head towards Sthara and Eku, and headed inside. There he met with everyone, only minutes after which Sthara left from this building and passing Allister as he entered. Watching him leave, he considered his own plan of action. He realized me missed a great deal, and in order to make it up to his comrades, he decided to find this priest for them.
Funderburk left the building, just as soon as he entered it, and went to find the small temple which the commander previously mentioned where he would be when they talked with her hours before. Once he happened upon the small temple, he took off his hood in the slight rain to show respect, and entered. Looking for the priest. "Hello?"
Eku leave's Sthara's question unanswered as Funderburk approaches. Once he is up to speed and Nenne and Boosey are back outside, Funderburk suggests no time like the present for visiting a temple. A quick search finds Allister in a prime napping spot that anyone with an eye for napping spots is sure to be jealous of. Wiskey in hand, the fighter joins the group as they make their way to the small temple.
The temple devoted to Helm has large doors that encompass smaller doors, which stand open. The inside is not incredibly large, leaving only room for a score of people. Upon entering the well maintained, but not overly lavish place, the party is greeted by a Chultan man in robes, "Good evening! I heard there were visitors inside the fort. It is good to finally meet you. How might I be of service to you all?"
"Evening and well met. I see our reputation proceeds us. As you might have heard we were ordered to investigate the disappearance of pirates from the cells in this camp. Do you know who might be involved?"
The thin man stands there stunned as Allister finishes his blunt question. He stammers to regain composure, "I - I - I - I had not heard that there was any investigation. Did the commander order this investigation? What do you mean when you say 'who might be involved'?"
Right when the group stepped in the temple, Funderburk immediately began to cast Detect Thoughts on the head priest, prying straight into the mans thoughts, hoping for an answer.
I'm hoping zone of truth is getting bomb dropped on this man. Will help greatly considering he is about to HATE me.
Boosey gives the priest a shrewd look. "Why so nervous priest. We're only trying to gather information here. You seem to be in a good place here to know the ins and outs of the fort?"
Nenne blinks a few times before responding. It's the closest thing to awkwardness you've seen from her so far. "I...do not ruse."
You get the impression that, even if she were inclined to be anything other than honest, she wouldn't know where to begin.
"Well, have it your way. But asking a traitor to his god and comrades if he betrayed them might not yield an honest answer."
"You misunderstand me. I merely am informing you of my weaknesses. I am aware of the need to be strategic. I was a martial tactician, after all. When it comes to exchanging words, however, deceit and scheming is not among my strengths."

"So you´re saying we should confront him and wait for his reaction? If he meets anyone or runs? Hm, could work. Nenne, your approach is great. Go ahead!"
Eku nods slowly, but understandingly saying, "I suppose you're not wrong, madam cleric. I'll be outside." She then steps outside into the light rain.
Sthara slips out into the rain, following behind Eku.
"Eku. What was that outburst you had – you cannot question the righteousness of gods. They may be slow to work, sure, yes, but they are unwavering."
She catches her words and pauses to think before she adds, "You saw me when I was not in this world."
Nenne watches her go, so focused on the woman's exit that it takes a few moments for Allister's words to register. When they do, she starts blinking a lot.

Made you look.
"How did you know I was there, but on another plane?" Sthara asks Eku.
Upon the closure of their conversation, Sthara will follow with Funderburk to see the temple.
Eku leave's Sthara's question unanswered as Funderburk approaches. Once he is up to speed and Nenne and Boosey are back outside, Funderburk suggests no time like the present for visiting a temple. "That´s not an answer, that´s a question. Do you know anyone involved in this? Who helped the pirates?"
