Serwa shrugs. “Clank clank,” she says aloud, mining marching in her chain mail. “Stealth wasn’t part of my training in the military, or from the church, and heavy armor doesn’t mix well with that. If someone who is better at that wants to do recon on the place, go for it. I’m my ready to do my part. Someone tell me the plan”
Tomora looks pensive, "I don't like the feelin of sending someone in alone...I say we do this together. We go in as quiet as we can and stay low. If we gets a chance to surprise one of them, all the better...but, I suppose its up to you, Xianon."
"I have a light if we needed" she says casting Produce Flame in her free hand "Or I got a torch...but that's a bit brighter"
“If we go in together and someone provides light, I’ll send these goblins to Kelemvor’s judgment,” Serwa says, without a hint of zeal or bloodlust, just a flat statement of fact, as she draws her Halberd, dragging it casually behind her with a one-handed grip at present. “I’m not going to be quiet, and I’m not taking off my armor. That’s courting death. Let me know the plan. We can go in together, or send a scout, and the rest can come in as back up. I’m ready, either way, when you are.”

Xianon Lathalas
After the pit incident, the wood elf takes even more care in scanning the surroundings. "If I'm not mistaken, I'm the only one who can see anything in darkness, which means we'll need a light if any fighting's to be done. That pretty much eliminates all hope of a sneak attack," he points out quietly. His head still on a swivel, he says, "I don't see any light coming from the cave, which is a bit odd. Goblins can see in the dark, but that doesn't mean they like it. I can scout ahead if you'd like, but if the group is coming in loud and proud, is there really a point?"
“You are probably right, Xianon. Sounds like we just go in hot, then,” Serwa says. “Just keep an eye open for traps. If they’ve gotten clever enough to make one, we can probably count on more.”
As you begin to move towards the cave, Xianon you notice some snoring coming from behind you. Turning around, through some of the thickets you see two goblins sleeping in a small outpost made of wooden planks keeping the thickets away from the goblins, that were unnoticeable from across the river. (On the map, the small little clearing on the right side of the river cutting into the thickets). They seem to be completely oblivious to the group, despite the noise, as they’re fast asleep.
OOC: Serwais attempting to move stealthily, but any such rolls are at disadvantage for her. She does not see the sleeping goblins, I assume, so unless Xianon points them out she is continuing on, doing her best to make minimal sound.
"Hey now, dwarves can manage in the dark just as well as an elf...if not better!" Tomora scowls at Xianon "But, there ain't no point in announcing ourselves early. We may not be the stealthiest group, but the sound of the stream will cover us some. If we just try to stay quite, perhaps we can get the drop on some."
A flame blossoms in her free hand as she casts Produce Flame "This light is only good until I have to throw it a someone, best we have a back up." She offers a torch to Aster or Serwa and will light it as well if accepted.
Being one of the hardier memebers of the group she will take the front row and will try to stealth if the group is moving at a slow enough pace. Stealth: 4
(EDIT: oops, just saw the post above and failed my stealth, sorry :)
OOC: Let me know if you require a stealth roll from Serwa. If Xianon mentions the sleeping sentry goblins she would stop moving, so it may not be an issue.

The goblins, though previously sleeping begin to awake as Tomora begins to move to the cave entrance (RIP with that nat 1). For now, Serwa, you won’t need a stealth check as Tomora has woken the goblins up, but moving into the cave if you’re trying to stay hidden you will. the goblins pick up their bows and begin to take aim, quivering a bit at the sudden arrival of an adventuring party right outside their cave. Goblin initiative: 8
Party Initiative: 17 (What I’ll be doing for initiative at the moment, thanks to a suggestion, is doing team initiative so that things go faster because you can reply whenever you hop on and don’t have to wait for each player to go through their own turn. Just using avg. of party initiative for the team roll)
The wood elf silently rebukes himself for not sounding the alarm quickly enough. He springs into action as the goblins fumble for their weapons, surging to the fore to disrupt them. Once again, he lets his fists do his talking.
(rolling with party initiative, you can go whenever you want during party initiative. So you can just post now and go with your action, it doesn’t matter who goes first or second, and it can change up every round. Your turn can go anytime during the party’s turn.)

Serwa moves to a position still 5 feet away from the goblins, 15 feet of movement, strikes one with her attack action with the Halberd, uses a bonus action to make a bludgeoning attack using polearm master, both from this reach, and then steps back 5 feet, halberd ready to take an opportunity attack if either goblin enters her reach.
Attack Action
Attack Roll: 17
Slashing Damage if a hit: 11
Bonus Action:
Attack Roll: 16
Bludgeoning Damage if a hit: 6
Note: If the first attack dropped one Goblin she would make the bonus action attack against the other. Otherwise both attacks vs the same goblin.
Xianon and Serwa both strike at the first goblin, but it narrowly dodges both punches and the slash from the halberd and begins to laugh, only to be shut up by the butt end of Serwa’s halberd, leaving its nose broken and its face bloody. The goblin is still standing, but is definitely hurting.
Serwa shrugs. “Clank clank,” she says aloud, mining marching in her chain mail. “Stealth wasn’t part of my training in the military, or from the church, and heavy armor doesn’t mix well with that. "I am not weighted down by armor, i cant see great in darkness though. I think sir elf would be our best candidat for this."
Aster will cast guidance anyone who will scout ahead.

OOC: What is the distance between us and the goblin sentries?
Not too far, maybe 20 feet from the farthest of you. Any of you could move up into melee range easily.
OOC: As it's party initiative, how do you want us to determine who goes first among us? Or should I just proceed to post and roll my action?

Tomora slips on a rock and splashes noisily into to stream and stumbles to catch her balance as she spots Xianon pounce on the goblins.
(Tomora will go last in the party since she flubbed the stealth :). Group init is a great idea.)

Seeing an opening, Tomora hurls the fire in her hand (Produce Flame) at the bloodied goblin. Attack: 18 Damage: 4
She then moves to the side of the cave entrance, taking cover as best she can, watching and listening for movement from within the cave.
