Percival merely chuckles at Kai and Ava's exchange.

The Icebreaker glides into the harbor of the town of Fireshear. This town’s many houses form a crescent around the harbor, and you can see several large public houses near the wharf. A dozen thin pillars of smoke rise from the far side of town as you approach—it’s clear even from this distance that a number of houses are burning. Your vessel is moored at the dock, and you see a blond woman in a long green dress and wearing a gray wolf pelt around her shoulders approaches from one of the public houses. She stands on the dock and holds her hand aloft in greeting.

"Ah solid land once again. Hello, I take it you are here to greet us. I am Ava." Ava says as she strides down the ship onto the dock. She breathes in the cool air and stretches. 

 "Ah! Yes! Kalannai Grayfur, a representative of the people of Fireshear, at your service. Welcome to our town. We have been expecting you. But, uh..appear to have a mephit problem." she admits. "They've been attacking the eastern end of town recently."

Vetis listens and blinks slowly.

Is this your fault?

You don't even know what kind of mephits they are.

"What kind of mephits?"

"Magma, Smoke, and Ice. All on the eastern end of town." Kalannai explains. "Do you guys have a delivery?"

"Yes." is Vetis's simple, slightly distracted, reply.

I repeat my question.

Go find out, if you're so damn curious.

“Annddd, to whom?” she asks, waving her hand as if digging for obvious information.

"We have parcels from Maccath, Vanifer, and Nezznar that need to be delivered."

"I have no idea who those first two people are, but our duegar blacksmith, Griggle Duskloch, knows Nezznar." she says. "Say. You guys interested in making some more gold? Maybe..get rid of our mephit problem? I've got my hands full trying to evacuate the Eastern side, and Griggle is there, too. Two birds with one stone?"

Shrek steps up and proudly announces "And Shrek needs buy more supplies for ship!  Shrek load mister (still using the wrong term for loadmaster)!  Which way to buy stuff?"

"That would be the North side of town." she says, pointing.

During the trip north Kazimir is even more cheerful and relaxed than usual feeling the salt air through their auburn lockes. Kaz busies themselves with making sure the ship is running smoothly, checking the rigging, the course, even inspecting the hull as the waters get more frozen. 

Arriving in Fireshear, Kaz listens to the exchange their coworkers have with the welcome committee, chiming in with a “that sounds most agreeable, yes? We could use a little discretionary cash for our supplies.”

Kai nods along with everyone else. "Yeah, I got no problems helpin' out! More money means more supplies and food. Besides, how bad could the problem be!"

(Little did he know, it was very bad)

"Well we can't very well deliver a package if there's no one to deliver the package to, so we'll help."

Vetis shrugs and nods.

As you all travel to the east side of town and follow the fires, it's easy to see that a group of 3 magma mephits are breathing fire at a row of houses, attempting to burn them down. They dance and giggle mischievously as they do so, and comically stop, frozen in fear, as you get near. Ruh roh Raggy. Party's over?

Roll for initiative.

Lucas punches his fist into the palm of his hand, "Saving the day and getting the job done? Hell yah!" He gives a excited grin, as he pulls his bow into his hand, "I'll race you guys there!" Lucas then starts running Eastwards, calling out behind him, "Come on!"
