I trained at not using the leg until i could fight without it. but i was never let back in, so i became an adventurer. while adventuring one day, I found a beholder. it used its mind magic on me to make it me servant. i now will secretly always serve the beholder ha ha ha! I wnet to the underdark cuz the beholder sayed so.

Race/Class: Human / Cleric of Light - Celestial Warlock
Backstory: Solvalis was traveling with his parents from city to city on a caravan when they were attacked by the Drow. He was taken from them and remembers the last time he saw them there were wounded but still alive. He does not know if his parents were taken, left behind, or killed outright before the Drow completed the raid.
He found himself a Drow prisoner, but he was brought up to be pious and prayed and prayed for aid. One day it came to him and he was blessed with powers from the divine. His prayers were so powerful he attracted the attention of two celestial beings, the god of light that set him on a path as a cleric and a celestial being that appears to him as a great ball of light, too bright to see, the made a bargain with him and made him a warlock. Both powers now guide and protect him as he is ready to make his escape from the Drow and return to the surface to find his parents.
D&D/PbP Experience: Playing D&D since 1988, PbP in three games that did not last more than a month, not because of me. I posted often and was actively involved in the story.
Time zone/Availability: PST – Can post as needed throughout the day as I work from home. If we ever return to the office (post COVID) I will only be able to post after 5pm PST.
Backstory: Once the eldest daughter of a lesser noble house, Saribel never took well to the strict and cruel ways of her people. Her mother always aimed for her to be a priestess, but magic and faith were far outside her area of expertise and instead Saribel thrived in battle. She spent much of her time training and became good. Maybe even overconfident and challenged those above her skill level, earning her a crushing defeat and humiliation for her house. Eventually she decided that Menzoberranzan was no home to her, not as it currently is and snuck out, running away. One day she hopes she can return and bring about real change to the society, but she can't do that stuck in its web. She needs to see more and experience more to do so. Tends to be rather optimistic for a drow, and will challenge almost anyone to a fight to show off her skills or maybe learn something new.
D&D/PbP Experience: Been playing d&d for about 3 years as a DM and player. Have participated in PbP on and off over the last year or so in a couple different games and DM'd one that eventually fell off.
Time Zone Availability: PST. Im usually available super late at night/early morning or for a short time in the early afternoon. Im more or less nocturnal for my timezone.

Iorythas was - by birthright- destined to be the governor, in charge of maintaining a militia in a relatively small city. It was little more than a marker on a map of the borderlands. However, a training exercise gone wrong led to Iorythas being captured, along with several subordinates. During his time in the Underdark, he’s done his best to keep morale from getting too low. But the fires in their hearts are growing cold now... hope of rescue or escape is diminishing. If there’s no rescue soon, Iorythas may have nothing left even if he is rescued.
I’m pretty experienced as a player and been a DM for a year (super fun). I’m EST US and generally find a few minutes several times a day to check in, all through the day.
I grew up in a small to large town where I became a prominent teacher (Sage background) in the local Temple of Pelor. We were raided by an unknown group, I assume they were mercenaries but I honestly don't know. Many of us died, but displaying my hardiness and strengths while defending the temple, my students, and local population, I guess the raiders saw my "usefulness" as a slave" and captured and sold me.
Enemies: Any evil creature, especially those in the Underdark.
Personality: I’m used to helping out those who aren’t as smart as I am, and I patiently explain anything and everything to others. I’m willing to listen to every side of an argument before I make my own judgment. It is my duty to protect my students or anyone I perceive as a student of mine. I tend to see myself as a teacher in any companion-type situation since I view the deity Pelor as the one and only truth. I work to preserve anything that holds information (books, libraries, temples) since my own temple was destroyed. One of my major flaws is that I get easily distracted by the promise of information gain.
D&D/PbP Experience In-person, Ive played one and a half campaign. I used to play a lot of forum games on ArmorGames.com but that was years ago and never D&D. Just tell me how exactly you want me to do things and I'll follow them to the best of my ability.
Timezone/Availability Arizona timezone (-7:00 or something like that) but I just got a PC so I'm checking this site all the time and it's not as frustrating as trying to use my phone to post stuff. I only work like 6 hours a day so I'm free a lot of the time and I get e-mail notifications on my phone whenever someone posts in a forum that I've posted in
