As the last sister drops, the massive door to the final room opens, and the three hag dolls run for their lives. What you see on the other side is unlike anything you've ever seen before.
Crumbling balconies overlook a pool of lava filling this triangular chamber, above which is suspended an enormous crystal cylinder held in place by three adamantine struts. Wraithlike forms swirl inside the cylinder, and otherworldly screams hang in the air. Four long, writhing tentacles sprout from the cylinder’s cap. A shriveled monstrosity the size of an elephant floats near the cylinder. Its body is wet and malformed, its arms and legs are atrophied, and its oversized head drips black goo. The creature is attached to the cylinder by a twisted umbilical cord.
The cylindrical device is the Soulmonger. The Soulmonger is an upright crystal cylinder 20 feet high and 10 feet in diameter. Three adamantine struts suspend it above the lava attached to an adamantine ring around the cylinder’s midsection.
The malformed creature floating next to it is an atropal, which feeds on the captured souls of the dead. The ceiling of the vault is 30 feet high, and the walls along the north balcony are lined with alcoves containing piles of skulls and bones.
There is no sign of Acererak (yes, I know he's in the picture, but he's not here. Yet.), but the screams and moans of the Atropal send shivers up your spine.

Seeing the horrifying sight, Owlstra reverts back to his normal form, an expression of disgust on his face. "Well, that's definitely a thing of nightmares now isn't it?" He questions, taking out his spellbook. He eyes the structure and the creature, squinting at the struts. "The cylinder is what we need to destroy, but I don't think that thing will like it very much..."Lavender hues scan the struts. "If we destroy one of those things though, the whole thing should go down."He concludes. "Let's test this theory!"
Astra places a hand down on his spellbook, slowly retracting as a stream of acid pulls away from the pages and dances on his fingertips. Not a moment later does he lash it forward onto one of the struts, hoping to begin to corrode the metal!
[Tooltip Not Found] - 12 acid damage as it autofails the strut dex save! Will be taking extra acid damage over time as well.
