From the pit as the goblins get the bodies to the forest floor Glufs says, "Pit protect castle land. This one from castle. Maybe others too? Why fall in pit? Know where it is."
Eli snapped his head back to face Wolfsong as he lead into him still reeling from his shock and confusion at the sudden thundering attack and incomprehensible rant from Blaire. He doesn't respond. He doesn't reach for his weapon or helmet for a while.
Before huddling from Blaire's outburst and then heading after her, Gaatbort nods to TT. "Trust Wolf to run, to hide, to hunt. It knows its own body. Be sure it isn't hungry!"
Party: You do find more of the ectoplasm in the area. Apparently the two hobgoblin that didn't end up in the pit where effective against the other Wisps. The bodies and armor is riddled with punctures from the striges.
Is the party heading back to the cart? Are you taking the hobgoblin bodies?
The goblins and Ikki have pulled together a sack of dead striges.
It didn’t take but fifteen minutes for the party racing to the scene and about a half hour to get back to the cart. You would basically be ready to go about an hour after full dawn.
Eli, with his helmet clipped to his belt and his longsword sheathed, comes up cautiously to the pit. Listening to Robwin's sharing of his notes. He shakes his head. He moves on to inspect the hobgoblin bodies then the huge monstrosity pegged headfirst into the pit headfirst.
"That? Ogre. Ogre is always hungry. Ogre is easy angry. Ogre always has food. Never shares.", replies Gaatbort while stripping gear off the hobgoblin bodies in a herkish manner due to the size difference.
"So what is the plan for the bodies?" Wolfsong asks giving them a visual once over. "Do we leave them for the wilds or set them to the pyre first? I am more inclined to leave them as they were not my kills, let them become the strength the of the wilds around them."
Wolfsong looks to the sky and thinks for a moment then turns back to the rest of the party, "This Blackspider seems to be weaving quite the web, but at least we know that some followers of Talos are not on it's side. Could be wise to seek out them out learn what we can about the spider."
"Manticore, Dragon, Spider, Orc, Ogre, Hobgoblin, Goblin, Daraktan, Wolf, Wisp, Northlander, Endure, Ikki. Of all of these, I have only seen Northlanders before this trip." Eli is not loud or accusatory. If anything he sounds exhausted. He shakes himself a bit. "I will follow. There is great good that needs done here. What do you want to do?"
"Illuskan and Daraktan in the far north have traditions with similar sayings from long ago. Times and resources often change behaviors and beliefs.", Blaire says as she gently places a hand on Gralk's shoulder.
"Shall we go then? Back to the cart, check Farx, to the castle, check for Rockseeker, and get this raiding and black spider issue cleared up?", Blaire lists her ideas of current tasks off on her fingers.
"We can tell their king and kin where the pit is, right?"
Robwin enquires of Blaire, “Where did you say you found these? We’re they on one of the bodies?”.

Blaire to Robwin: "Yeah, that pack was on that, what, hobgoblin?" She points at the one nearest the pit.
The goblins are working together to carefully pull the two hobgoblin bodies from the spike pit.

Blaire listens to Robwin and Glufs. "Talos is one of our gods. The Illuskan and the Daraktan. At least in the northern isles and northlands."

"What is that really?"

Glufs says, "Fire here not good; must watch. Clan know armor or sword or pack; not need body. Show Stirges; Show special bits."
She points to the large sack of dead creatures Ikki is holding and the small pouch Gralk is holding.
"Maybe King or gaurd want see body; not know."
She shrugs again.

"I don't know what the customs are for goblinkin." Looking to the goblins. "Do you have any rites for the dead?"
Gralk shakes her head in response to TT.
"Maglubiyet and Khurgorbaeyag say use what is useful. Flesh feeds land or beast or kin."

"And maybe ask about these Talos followers?"
Blaire looks to TT, Wolfsong, Rinn and Robwin for confirmation.
Ikki is taking everything in and looking to TT in particular.
Eli just has his forehead in his hands.
Rinn: You found another smaller pouch with fifteen silver and twenty copper in it. The pouch is fairly threadbare.
TT is silent for a moment then turns back to the group. "Lets get some breakfast and get moving. Who knows what we will find next."
