You all spring into action and manage to run off the sahuaghin. The captain is pleased at your problem solving, and the crew makes for the ship and you all set off to anchor off shore, except for the sleeping crewman who is left in the cage over night. He's alert and in possession of his memories the following day, having been inoculated against the nightly memory wipe. The three of you, along with Talon and a couple of crew, travel to the pool with waterskins and whatever portable vessels can be rounded up, to be able to inoculate the rest of the crew.
Thus defended against forgetfulness, the crew is able to establish an island side base and posts along the trail, making further headway towards delving the interior of the island. You eventually make it to the ruins Captain Blake had been seeking, and lead one of the parties within. It's not without danger and difficulty, a couple crew being injured and on being lost to a trap, but you eventually make your way down and find a storeroom filled with heavy jewelry worked in gold and dripping with polished precious stones.
Blake only specifically wants a pair of gauntlets, a bit plainer than most, but he seems relieved to find them there, but is close mouthed about what they are or why he wanted them. He certainly is still interested in the rest, but you get the sense that it's almost a bonus. Something he's relieved to have, as it earns a great deal with the crew, who are all now very wealthy, you along with them. After long weeks in the jungle, you return to the ship, Son spotting a small figure on a bluff that looks down with a scowl before turning into a panther and vanishing into the woods.
The ship departs, dropping you off at whatever port of call you wish, though the Captain does extend the offer to remain a part of his crew. Some of the others retire, to go spend their wealth in what days remain to them in this world, but others take more comfort in the creak of the ship and splash of waves on the hull than they'd ever find in fine beds and rich foods. Either way, you're well funded for whatever the future brings, a fresh start, anyway.

The figures on the ship don't seem to respond to Mark's bellow.
