Oak’s big eyes blink and flutter open, with their normally long eyelashes burned short... He looks up trying to focus and sees Caelynn, “Am I dead?... Is this the afterlife?....”, he manages before resting his head back on the charred ground.
Caelynn pulls Oak into an equally tight hug. "You're okay. Everything's fine." It's unclear whether she's trying to reassure Oak or herself, but her voice is shaking slightly and she keeps glancing back and forth between each of her friends to make sure they're really still there. "Trill, I burned all the healing I had left on these two. Can you do anything for the others?"
Oak barely moves, then he realises he’s mostly okay. He raises one hand to pat Caelynn on the back, hesitates, then does it anyway, his hand almost as broad as her back is, patting as gently as he can.
Then he sits up fast, and is about to ask, but sees Trill and Aimon looking.... like crap... ... but alive. He looks concerned at the others, and curses his lack of healing magic...
((Trill's actions are dependent on the dragon. If it's looking to attack her friends again (ie, took to the wing to circle around for another strafing run), she's gonna be flying up, tweaking its nose (viciously mocking a dragon with 5 HP left to her name... she must really like you guys...) and trying to lead it away from all of them... so really hoping it looks relatively chill, or is gone entirely, cause that may end poorly for her.))
((At this point Caelynn is more worried about getting all of her friends back up than anything. She hasn't stopped to consider what's going on with the dragon.))
((Just saying that she's not standing around like a dolt, if the dragon doesn't seem to be paying them any mind, she'd have been coming with the heals before Caelynn got to Oak, I'm just confirming before she does, in which case she'd cast healing word on repeat until everyone is up.))

"Well, I think I'm done for ideas for the day," Aimon says when he's certain the dragon has left and isn't about to fry them again. "At least I think it's clear the dragon does not know it's being controlled and held in check. And I think she gave us a pretty good preview of what she's going to do if she gets released. This city is getting burned down to its foundations."
He knocks a bit of soot off his clothes, straightens out his cloak, and then checks in on Dawnbringer again. Are you still with us?
Oak slowly gets up, and checks the others, helping anyone who needs it to sit or stand. While looking off into the middle-distance, he says thoughtfully, “I don’t think that was the dragon”. Then he looks at each of the party members...
Then he corrects himself, not thinking straight, “It WAS the dragon, but.. she... wasn’t herself..... Before she attacked, I thought I got a sense of her being thoughtful and tender... She was about to confide in us”.
“I think something, or someone, forced her to attack us.... If we could free her, I think we might get a very different creature”. He looks down, unsure, and then around the party for their thoughts.
”I’ve looked into a lot of slaves’ eyes. What we saw today... I’m not sure that was the true ‘her’.”.
Frila slowly wakes up, her vision is blured. Any movement causes her extreme pain, same result with lack of it. She feels a strong feeling on her chest and coughs, a hard and dry cough. "weapon" she though, and extended her hand to grab her weapon but she could hardly see and had to go through trial and error to get it, any touch on the earth burned again her skin "No pain no gain" those were the words of her professor, in a quick move she tried to rise up fully, but failed, at least she was on her knees now. Frila violently shakes her head making ash fall from her hair. Her vision got better, so she looked around her and saw her rapier and her Shield, both made of metal so neither got destroyed to hard at least. She rose up and looked around her to see everything burned, and the only people standing where her new friends " though people"
Trill's words wash over her companions, and healing energy seeps into their bodies. They begin to stir groggily from the places they tell to the ground. Jimjar mutters, "Well, that was absolutely amazing. Remind me never to talk to dragons again."
Aimon, you look down at Dawnbringer, and your heart falls at what you see. A great crack splits the hilt of th sentient weapon, and many of the gems have lost their luster and have cracked as well. When you speak to her, you feel something stir within the weapon, but you get no response.
Caelynn spends the time to check over each of her companions, helping them up if they need it. Once she's sure that everyone is okay and has performed multiple mental head counts, she relaxes slightly. "We should head back to the tavern. Get some rest before we deal with any of this."
Oak looks over at Aimon, “I’m so sorry.... Maybe we can fix her? Should we ask at the forges here? Or would she more need a... healer?...?”. He is genuinely sad for his friend. He knows how valuable a good weapon can be. He will walk quietly alongside his half-elf friend.
"I need a daam good rest, well all do. I might not had known Dawn for a long time, but i own it my life. But you all know it better, you should focus on seeing if you can bring it back, even if it´s powerless, doesn´t matter, meanwhile I will come up with something to get revenge. All this wasn´t this dragon´s fault, it was whoever put that thing on her neck, and as soon as i find out who was. They will pay, they will bur.... hhhmmm" She lowered her head and stopped talking "They will burn, I got it. She went mad when we talked about the neck thing, so if we find who put that thing on and talked to her again, all that we need to do is beeing close to it´s place. I think that my sanctuary is enough to block one of it´s attacks, so if we are close she will burn those who controll her. A bit crazy, but like he used to say: if your plan isn´t crazy, it isn´t a good plan"
With heavy hearts, the party wearily make their way back to the Gholborne's Lair. You enter into the inn and find yourselves amongst the dinner rush. Chatter and the sounds of cutlery upon plates fill the room as a multitude of different races dine up on their food. Most of the tables are packed, and servers skirt around guests as they deliver steaming plates of food. A few people eye your scorched appearance, but nobody asks. What do you do?

Trill's out of spell slots and only has 5 HP. She also smells of burnt feathers. She's feeling a bit defeated, but grateful everyone is still alive.
She works over each of them as they head for the inn, removing soot, burnt bits and the smell of smoke and burning along the way.
