Nuae smiles. "Well hell, that's more than I knew, and I've lived just up the way for... forever!" She extends all four limbs in an excited manner before leaning against the back of the chair again. She looks around at the room doors. "I wonder if we'll get a fourth soon..."
Nuae raises her eyebrows, stands and starts to follow Helix. She stops halfway to look back at Melcore. "What say you? Stay and wait, or drink and be social?" She gives him a grin.
Melcore thinks for a moment before he says, "I'm coming." He tucks his notebook back into the folds of his robe and drops the quill. The quill falls for a few inches before vanishing. Standing, he is just under six feet tall.
As you push the door open, you open up to the main foyer of The Gem in the Deep. It is a rectangular room about 120 by 80 feet. The ceiling above you continues for about 20 feet before coming to a stop. The outcropping acts as the balcony for the second floor of the building. Under the balcony that is supported by round, wooden pillars are tables and benches that are almost all filled with people. Lanterns are set into the wall every 20 feet or so to give dim, but warm lighting. Beyond the balconies, the ceiling rockets upward and forms a vaulted ceiling about 60 feet above you. It is made of glass and lets you see the twinkling stars and crescent moon above set in a cloudless night. In the center of the room is an indoor fountain of water. It is on top of a mound of earth held in by a short wall of stone around it. Several small, but beautiful plants grow around the fountain. A continuous bench rings the stone wall around the fountain. The floor is made of wood that is polished to a dance floor gleam. Other doors a evenly spaced along the walls that you assume lead to other suites. To your left is a ring-shaped counter that is the reception desk. Behind it are two doors that you assume lead to the kitchens. There is a halfling woman behind the counter that seems to be sorting through a large stack of papers. To your right are the large, twin glass doors that act as the entrance to the inn. Music seems to be coming from the balconies, but conversations and laughter almost drown it out. The scent of polish and food greets your noses. What do you do?
Nuae glares at the fountain and grumbles something under her breath before looking up wistfully at the moon through the ceiling. A she breathes in, she smells the food, and she's brought back to the present moment. "Ooh, I wanna find out what that smell is..." She starts to follow her nose, stopping short of the kitchen doors and looking around to see if there's any food free for the taking.
Helix, as you approach the front desk, the halfling woman looks from her paperwork and says warmly with a smile, "Hello, I'm Anaya. What can I help you with this fine evening?" Her auburn hair that is starting to gray is pulled into a tight bun. Her blue-gray eyes are rimmed with horned glasses. She is wearing a purple top with a flower skirt to complete the look.
Nuae, as you approach the kitchen doors, the smells intensify. You can smell buttery pie crust, savory meats, fresh fruit, and a plethora of equally pleasant scents. On the desk near the kitchen doors, there is a small handball that you can ring for service. Next to that is a small platter filled with an assortment of small, fruit-filled pastries left for people to sample. Melcore tags along with you.
(I think that the other guy who was going to join might have ghosted us. If you know anybody who would be interested to fill the vacancy, let them know we might be recruiting. We'll need a replacement if the other guy doesn't join by Sunday.)

"While we wait for a forth, let's drink our weight in froth. To the ale!" Helix heads off in search of a pint

Helix heads to the reception desk to strike up a conversation about accommodations and opening a tab.

Are you two still interested? I'm totally fine if you don't want to do this anymore.

(To be honest I'm kinda stretch thin. I think I will drop out of this game, but I enjoyed the RP with you two and hope to see you in the future.)
(I think it's a fun idea, but maybe will have to work another time.)
