Karib is clearly torn. "My instinct says storagekeep but I can see reasons for the temple. We may only get to save one of them..."
"I prefer to trust my instinct, but if anyone here knows this town and tells me that more people will have fled to the temple, then we should go there. Both are likely strongholds, each in their own way."
He looks at the temple before turning to face the storagekeep, trying to discern signs of life or activity. He looks uneasy, frustrated -- angry even -- like someone who wants to act but is reluctant to release the pent up energy in the wrong cause. Then he starts to breath more deeply and recite some ritual phrases and a serenity comes over him. Eventually he smiles again, turning to Kano. "You are a local, yes? I will follow your lead."
Then he smiles more broadly, "Perhaps you should try to be less reckless next time."
"People could be in the temple. What good are supplies if there is no one left to give them too,"Kuga says, adjusting her axe. Hearing the roar, part of her can't but hope for a chance at this dragon. It would be a mighty foe, but the people had to come first. She nods to herself in a silent conclusion of her thoughts."I will follow whatever is decided, but my voice is for saving people not things."
She joins Tengar in searching for tracks, using her wanderer background to remember the general layout of the town to find choke points and what might be the more common paths the cultist would use and help the party avoid them.

Smiling at Karib, Kano simply says, "This is how I learned to fight--at the fore if needed, or from a distance with shuriken otherwise. I will try to stay as safe as I may in the upcoming trials."
"Both paths hold promise and peril. I suggest we head east and use the cover of the trees to approach the temple. If we find people trapped, we can lead them back to this tunnel," counsels Kano, moving to the treeline stealthily.

"I come here to ensure the safety and survival of these people," says Ka'Burra, also looking rather torn between the two options. More people were likely taking shelter at the temple than the storagekeep, but that also means the storagekeep would be left more unguarded than the rest. "I have ways of trickery and guile that I have mainly used as a means of escape. Perhaps, they can be used now."
Ka'Burra will leap into the air and do a quick gathering of the surroundings, peering at the trees and areas near them from above. Perception: 14
As the party rounds the corner of a building on the way to the temple, a lone dog hiding under the porch raises its head and sniffs at the group, trying to decide if it should bark at them or not. Pimster smiles at the animal, glad that it had not been harmed by the fighting. He holds out a small piece of jerky to the animal, speaking calmly in a friendly voice. "Hello, pup! Are you guarding your house? I bet you are - you're a good girl! Here, I have a treat for you. Would you like a treat?"(Animal Handling: 20)
"That's a good girl. You stay safe under there - and bark if anything comes along after us, ok?"

The kobolds spot the group with snarls and hisses; dropping their loot as they go for their weapons...
