***okay i messed that up*** i rolled 2 dice instead of just 1 for the disadvantage. my bad. i guess we just take the worst of the first? i guess it would be 10 total. sorry!
(As a party semi-squishy who can't see in the dark, Pimster will be happy in the middle or back of the line. He is happy to produce a flame through magic, but it will be the first thing he throws at opponents, which will make it dark again! He also has torches...)
"If any of you gets hurt worse, let me know and I'll see what I can whip up to ease your pains." Pim says in the basement before heading down into the tunnel. Once down the ladder (assuming there are no torches or other light sources...)he pipes up, "It's awful dark down here...I'll light a torch so everyone can see!"

As Lux moves behind Adracos some form of strange insect flies into Lux's throat causing him to exclaims loudly with a stange noise and begins to cough! Lux vomits in reflex, but since his stomach is empty all that he achieves is a painful dry heave. After his little episode he looks to any who are looking at him and responds with a silent apology. His senses however are ever sharp despite the unfortunate spat.

As you each descend into an almost overwhelming smell of long stagnant water, you all notice the tunnels are steadily aglow with bioluminescent mould which sticks to the ceiling and most of the upper portions of the walls, which are also coated with a curtain of dark webbing.
A trickling water sound is heard, but it quickly clarifies itself to the sound of skittering and squeaking! A moving hoard of rats appear then split into two swarms, with each and every one of them flash a look at the new threats with glowing malice in their eyes...

Kano:
If Lux succeeds in calming the rats, Kano will remain where he is and move slowly past the befriended rats. If the rats are too mindless or territorial to back off, Kano will ready the below action:
Leaning to his right to get a good line of sight to the R4 group of rats in the dank water, Kano swiftly pulls an ice blue shuriken made of elemental cold out of an unseen pocket and hurls it at the mass, trying to freeze the rats and trap them in the flash-frozen ice!

While Lux's calming tones and gestures reach the ears of the first few rats, he would also notice the ones behind didn't hear and the promise of fresh food is enough to push on any attempts to calm the swarms wouldn't work...
With a flash of blue-white and cold from Kano, several of one of the rat swarm are frozen solid and bob in the stale water, not that their kin care much as they climb over their corpses and push on!

On Pimster's turn:
The druid takes a moment to size up the rats, but quickly realizes they are too mindless and hungry to be dealt with in any other way. With a sigh, he produces a ball of flame and hurls it at the closest swarm of rodents. "I am sorry for this, my little friends, but we must pass, and are a very poor meal for you."

Adracos not just hated rats, he despised them. As he saw the swarm of filthy creatures apporach him, it took all his mental strenght to stay his ground. One would think the rogue had gotten used to these animals during all the time he had skulked through the sewers of Baldur's Gate, but he clearly hadn't. His two trused shortswords at the ready, he started to hack away at them (R7), working all his disgust into the swings. "I prefer to fight Kobolds, thank you very much!", he announced to no one in particular.

Tengar
His thoughts going back to when he was young, when he and the village boys would play "Bash," a certain game of ball, using a dead and sewn up rat as a ball that they would throw and then try to hit with a stick. Tengar shrugs, Not that different, he thinks to himself. He unhooks his mace and moves to the nearest rat and swings: Attack: 8 Damage: 9
After the attack, if there is no opponent in melee range, he'll move to the side to be out of the way of the spellcasters.

Adracostaps into his raw feelings for these creatures and he feels his blades catches several rats bodies as their bodies!
Tangar's swings just slams into a horrible splash of the fetid water!
Perhaps it's Pimster's uncertainty to attack potential furry friends, but the fire attack goes wide...

The ratssee their attackers nearby, but see this as a meal on legs! They scamper forward and crawl Tangar's and Adracos's legs and begin biting with their sharp, foul teeth!

Adracos shivered as he saw the first rats crawling up his boots gnawing away at his black leather armor. He tried to spin away but it seemed impossible to shake them off. "Dirty little bastards!", he exclaimed. The blood on his swords assured him that at least some of his swings hit true, but there was still an uncountable number of rats crawling across the floor. It was no use to lament about the situation, the only way forward was to crush every last one of them. Once again he swang his weapons (at R7).

Kano:
”Tengar, back out of the water,” calls Kano as he readies another shuriken. The cleric looks heavily damaged by the rat’s attack and Kano doesn’t want to risk damaging him with the attack.

Despite his hesitations, Luxfirst strike lands true on more of the rats, as they squeak and rapidly disperse into the water and cracks of the old tunnel.
With a flash of light and ice, Kano's white missile slams into the second swarm. As frozen little bodies remain, their kind scatter into the shadows of the tunnel...

Having fended off the rats, Adracos breathed a sigh of relief. "I hate these buggers.", he said to the others, this time with a little more composure. He approached the door barring the way forward. "It seems like we need to get past this.", he said. The door seemed fragile and probably wouldn't last if he through himself against it, but he decided to take a gentler approach. He scanned the door for any traps that might secure the passage. (Perception19)
If he deemed it save he would then try to open it as cautiously as possible. (Sleight of Hand13)
