"Or perhaps Rhogar can levitate Chill for a closer look of the hatch?" Suggests Kazri, then she turns to Everlast. "It seems that Veneranda does not want to leave her position. Is there a reason for it?"

Without taking his eyes fully off the projection, Rhogar cannot help faintly nodding in agreement with Krom's assessment. Yet, so long as there was a chance of gleaming something -- anything that the group could then glean something of use, then it could prove of value. Or, so the dragonborn idly hoped for, in any event. Gorrah perked up at the mention of Rhogar 'levitating' Chill, and in the group's mind they'd see the crude image of the dragonborn throwing the tabaxi up to the hatch, followed by a feeling of confusion. There's then a feeling of mirth and mischief directed to the party (all except Rhogar) as Gorrah sends the image of a winged Rhogar flying and craddling a contented regular cat.

Everlast responds "I cannot reveal the city's secrets. But I will not prevent you from discovering them on your own." He pauses, "As for Veneranda, I have not spoken to her in at least a century. I am a bit surprised that she has not become a nothic like so many others have. I cannot answer why she does not want to leave where she is."
Chill looks up, but the ceiling is smooth, there are no places to hook a grappling hook.
"I don't see where to attach a grappling hook. Perhaps once we get the hatch open we can attach a hook somewhere. Looks like either Rhogar flies up there or levitates one of us." Chill says after examining the ceiling.
"It seems to be the only way," Krom agrees with Chill. "Those Netherese wizards never did anything in a normal way, no wonder their empire ended as it did." The dwarf continues while examining the room.
"I do know where you lot are getting this levitating business from-" Rhogar said with frown, but then his expression brightens as he adds: "But, I /can/ certainly fly up there and see what can be done. And in fact while I'm at it, I'll extend this magic to you, Chill. For out of all of us, you have the keenest senses, and may spot something that I myself may miss! That is..." His smile falters as he looks to Chill. "If you would not mind it terribly so. Otherwise, I'm more than willing to carry you."
Once the matter of flight is settled, Rhogar holds his staff close to his chest and intones the word, "Far'wymm", causing spectral draconic wings to appear on his back (and possibly Chill's with twinned spell). As he ascends he asks of the projection, "Pretell what /are/ you free to tell us, Veneranda? And what might we do or obtain that might allow you to speak further on the city's secrets?"
If nothing happens that might intercede with his ability to examine the hatch up close, then Rhogar would take a moment to inspect it, if not aid Chill in said inspection of the hatch while awaiting a response from Veneranda.
(OOC: Deducted Pact Spell Slot, but awaiting confirmation from Chill on whether or not to burn some sorcery points as well to twin it.)
Kazri and Oli position themselves under Rhogar/Chill. In case, they should fall.

With Chill's permission, Rhogar twins the magic he uses to fly and wings sprout from the back of the Tabaxi. Flying up they find the hatch which is mounted in the ceiling, 30 feet above the floor. Through some exploration they find that knocking on the hatch causes it to open. This reveals a 5-foot-diameter vertical shaft that ascends 50 feet.

Chill listens to the exchange but has nothing further himself to offer.
He does however look up when Krom mentions the grappling hook to see if there was a place to hook one.
