Kazri goes to her assigned seat, but as she gets to sit on it, she stands back up and raises her hand. “Wait. So, we just sit in our assigned seats right?” She looks at Rhogar. “Are we to do anything while seated? If we are to just remain seated, can we close our eyes?”

Rhogar looked as if he wanted to answer; but, with information limited to a few lines, the dragonborn held his tongue and held his hand in a sign for patience. He look then to Krom, and by extension the door beyond him if at all possible, waiting to see what came of the request. And if things appeared still to be unchanged, well... though not the sort to pray to any deity, he'd close his eyes, finding himself at least quietly hopeful Brother Vixix and Lady Tymora were looking out for the group.

By direction from Rhogar, Krom moves to the balcony doors and locks them.
As the three companions settle into the high-backed chairs, the chamber seems to hold its breath. The slow-turning vortex of stars falters, then stills, as if recognizing their presence. One by one, the arcane symbols carved into the chairs ignite with soft light, their glow reaching outward to touch the constellations above. The scattered stars begin to move with purpose, drawing together into radiant lines and sigils, their brilliance intensifying until the whirling cosmos compresses into a single, shimmering plane. Where the celestial storm once hung now stands a doorway of living starlight—silent, luminous, and newly opened.
Despite all temptations, Rhogar kept his head bowed, teeth gritted, and eyes halfway shuttered as even glimpses of the change from the corner of his eyes left him fearing the worse. However, once things calmed down and the others no doubt spoke of the aftermath, only then does he warily look up to see what happened... and sighed in relief. "Not quite what I expected, and yet within some expectations in another way. Hmph. Mnn... Right! We get moving. Could be the door will remain open for some time, but that's no excuse to tarry."The dragonborn practically flew out of his seat with fingers still aching from subconsciously digging his talons into the rest of the chair from the earlier episode of dread. Yet, apart from flexing them offhandedly to get the blood circulating once more, he paid them little mind before making his way over and offering Kazri a hand up.

“Amazing! Masterfully done, my friends!” Krom exclaims as the portal materializes within the chamber. The dwarf nods in agreement at Rhogar’s comment. “Let’s make haste!” Krom says, striding towards the portal. “Stay on your guard, we’ve no idea what awaits us on the other side!” he adds before stepping through.
Still not sure what transpired, but that whatever happened, it worked. Kazri takes Rhogar's hand. "Thank you Mr. Nimbatuul. Great job indeed." She pats the Dragonborn on his shoulder. "I would like to suggest that I should go first through the door."

“By all means, lass,” Krom says, nodding to the paladin as he comes to a halt. “But let’s make haste. As Rhogar pointed out, we don’t know how long the portal will remain open.” The dwarf steps aside to allow Kazri to pass through first. As soon as she enters the portal, he follows close behind.
Chill grins. "Nice job all." He says. Seeing Rhogar get up he also gets up from his chair. Readying his crossbow he follows the others through the portal.
One by one you step through the portal before the opportunity is lost. A moment later you stand in another chamber.
This large chamber has lain undisturbed for centuries. On the upper level, all around you, are tables covered with wizardly paraphernalia. A soft groaning sound emanates from a shadowy, door-sized rectangle along the curved northern wall.
Staircases to the east and west descend to the lower part of the room, where a sunken library is situated in a twenty-foot-wide, ten-foot-deep circular pit. A ladder running along a circular track inside this hole allows easy access to the many books and scrolls on its shelves.
Perched on the edge of the pit are three aberrant creatures, each one staring at you with a singular, hideous eye. Floating above the middle of the pit is a human skull with wispy, arcane symbols forming above it.
At your arrival the nothics are immedialty aware of your presence. Nearly as one they turn their single eyes upon you with intent to attack. The shadowy, door-sized rectangle along the curved northern wall catches your attention. The floating skull must certainly be Iriolarthas.
Chill doesn't like the though of something, what ever that door shape is, behind him. He turns his attention to it and raises his crossbow. Maybe it's a thing, maybe something horrible is about to walk out of the things that might be a door, what could be making the groaning noise?
He plants his feet. (BA Steady Aim) and fires.

“This is it, my friends, we have found what remains of the archmage and his apprentices,” Krom says, scanning the chamber. “And by the look of them, they are anything but friendly.” The dwarf’s grip on the hammer tightens as one of the nothics moves forward to strike at Rhogar. Raising his shield high and twirling his flaming hammer, Krom charges. As he advances, he begins chanting a hymn of conjuration, his voice resonating like a forge-hammer against an anvil. The moment the hymn is complete, a score of spectral dwarves clad in gleaming plate armor, wielding hammers and great-axes, manifests around him and with grim determination immediately attack the nothics and the archmage.
Movement: 25ft (as for the attached image) Action: Spirit Guardians at 3rd Level 11 Radiant damage Wis save DC 15 for half damage to all hostile creatures within 15ft from Krom (The teal square in the attached image indicates the area affected by the spell) Regardless of the save, the movement of all creatures inside the area is halved.

Rhogar resists the gaze of the Nothic as Krom runs forward and drops to the lower floor while conjuring a protective spell around him. Iriolarthas is unaffected but the 2 nothics are attacked by the fliting dwarves Krom has guarding him. The 2 nothics rush forward to engage Krom in combat and one scores a small hit (4 damage)
Iriolarthas emits a bloodcurdling howl. Each creature within 30 feet of him that can hear the howl must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or drop to 0 hit points. On a successful save, the creature is frightened until the end of its next turn. 4
