"Indeed it is, Chill, " Krom says after the tabaxi speaks. The dwarf nods and adds, "Of that you can be sure, and perhaps not only her. Everyone in this ruined city may soon be drawn to this place." Krom grips his fiery warhammer firmly and raises his shield as he continues, "How do we proceed from here Rhogar? We are not eight, and only one of us can draw upon the Weave. I fear we will have to improvise."
"My word... It's... It's magnificent. I cannot even begin to imagine what it took to have forged it -- i-if it was forged to begin with."Rhogar commented on as the group were on approach to the Mythallar. "But, uhm... Right. Focus. Uhm... We'll technically, all magic -- even divine magic, flows through the Weave. It's just the most key difference is how one goes about connecting to it, or at least utilizing it. But, I-I digress. First, we need to get closer for starters, and perhaps with the advisement of the professor, he can maybe guide us partway. And if not, well.. we'll see once we're closer. Now come along. It won't be long 'fore something or someone notices that the barrier is down."With that, the dragonborn began picking up the pace.

“So I might be able to help you, then,” Krom says after Rhogar speaks about the Weave. “In any case, the Professor may be able to offer some guidance.” The dwarf retrieves the Professor Orb from his backpack and holds it up. “I assume you heard everything, Professor. Do you have any ideas on how we might use it to hinder the goddess’s plans?”
Krom takes out the Professor Orb as you get closer to the Mythallar. Indeed, as Kazri mentions, the Mythallar is in a large open space under the spire. Large supports hold the spire at least 75 feet above you.
The Professor Orb is again his old self, and very condescending. "You brought me out to tell you that you need to attune to this magical artifact? You couldn't figure that out yourselves? Did you not read the materials found in the demilich's study? Up to eight can attune to this artifact at a time. But there can also just be one, or any number up to eight. It can also control the weather. So I am sure Auril will try and stop you. And right now, I don't hold out much hope for you."
Krom shakes his head at the Professor's remarks, then turns to Rhogar, "Attuning to such an item may take longer than usual. You would best begin as soon as you are ready." The dwarf tightens his grip on his fiery warhammer and raises his shield slightly. "I'll stand guard while you attempt try to control the weather."
Rhogar nodded along seeming for once not put off by the Professor's return to form. If anything, he looked thoughtful while rubbing his chin. "While I hope she won't sense anything until the process is complete, one should not underestimate the divine... even of the most lower of positions in the hierarchy."The dragonborn sighs releasing a small plume of electrified smoke. Gorrah nuzzled against his neck, eliciting a soft snort from the sorcerer, before he in turn scratched at her neck.
"... Brother Vixix. If your are listening, know that I... Thank you. And today I fulfill my promise."He says while side-eyeing Gorrah, who was in many his conduit to the Kirin and guardian of his home village. Then with one more steady breath, Rhogar carried on towards the base of the stand. He circles it once just to be sure there was nothing the design to suggest where the mages would usual try to attune to the Mythallar (as one generally needs to hold said item at length), before in perhaps finding nothing of the sort, simply choosing a spot near the base and reach out to try and connect with the Mythallar with the Staff of Power in his free hand.

Rhogar approaches the Mythallar, entranced by its sheer size and the power radiating from its core. Bending his will toward it, he instinctively understands the rules: do not touch the globe — but remain, focused and present, and its magic will slowly open itself to him. The rest of the party takes up positions around the Mythallar, eyes outward, weapons ready. They know the goddess Auril will not allow this to go unchallenged.
Tension settles over the party like a shroud. Eyes sweep the darkness, hands rest on hilts, and no one speaks. Every passing minute feels like a provocation — a debt accumulating, one that Auril will eventually come to collect. The goddess is out there. She has to be. And she will not suffer this intrusion lightly. The seconds bleed into minutes. Minutes stretch toward an hour. More than once, someone shifts their weight or exhales too sharply, and every head turns at the sound. But the cold remains still. The darkness holds nothing. Not yet.
Then — a change. Almost imperceptible at first. Rhogar's shoulders drop, the rigid line of his concentration softening into something quieter, something at peace. The breath he releases is long and slow, the kind that carries the weight of an hour's held resolve. He turns to face them, and they don't need him to say a word.
It is done. The Mythallar is his.
Rhogar learns the following:
All creatures attuned to the Ythryn mythallar can sense when the device is being used. A creature attuned to the device can use any of its properties, but only if all other creatures attuned to the device agree to allow it. The Ythryn mythallar’s properties are as follows:
Rhogar can sense he is the only one attuned to the mythallar at this time.
While you’re on the same plane of existence as the Ythryn mythallar, you can use an action to cause it to fly in any direction you choose at a speed of 30 feet. All matter within 500 feet of the device moves with it. The Ythryn mythallar and all structures held aloft by it hover in place when not in motion.
As an action, you can cause one magic item you are holding within 30 feet of the Ythryn mythallar to immediately regain all its expended charges or uses. A magic item recharged in this manner can’t be recharged by the Ythryn mythallar again until after the item regains expended charges or uses on its own.
You can use the Ythryn mythallar to cast the control weather spell without requiring any components and without the need for you to be outdoors. This casting of the spell has a 50-mile radius. For the duration of the spell’s casting time, you must be within 30 feet of the Ythryn mythallar or the spell fails.
As time passes, Kazri has Oli stay next to Rhogar and she walks around the perimeter scanning the surroundings for any danger.

"Soon, Chill, she will be here soon, now as the Mythallar is under Rhogar's control." Krom replies, raising his shield and readying his hammer as he scans the area around the group.
After that first exhale of relief Rhogar let out a chuckle that border mania for a time, before it naturally petered off with him holding his head and having to catch his breath. "It all makes sense now. At least, i-it mostly make sense... Heheh... haah..."Gorrah scowls, then nipped at Rhogar's maw. "Oww! Gorrah! That was hardly... Oh... *Ahem*... Harken onto me for but a spell, if you all would. I feel... No, I'm certain that the goddess is not currently attuned to Mythallar. She likely was at one point in order to darken the lands as she did. But as you all know, barring such artifice who by design might alot for it, too much time apart from that which you have attuned yourself too will eventually break the connection."He explained.
"I could but only speculate what might've prompted her to have done so. But, it matters little in the grand scheme of things. Know that it will take some time for me to undo the damage she's done. A fair... yes, a fair amount of time to effect truly lasting change. But once I start to -- once she senses the weather even begin lift despite her machinations, I wager it will not be long at all before she arrives here personally to stop us, ahead of whatever forces she's already gather and has sent our way. I could try to move Ythryn, though I fear that will at best... complicate many a things. So, if you have ANY final and lasting preparations you wish to invoke, do so."
Rhogar sighs. "And before it's asked, I cannot simply do this remotely now that I've attuned to it. Thus, this area will be the place of our final confrontation with her, I suspect." With that, he waits until the others seem ready before casting the spell to upsurp the weather, and bringing back a taste of summer (or would it be spring at this point?) to Icewind Dale...
"I am here" a woman's voice calls from the far side of the mythallar. "I was unsure what you meant to do, but it is clear now you hope to end my endless winter. I cannot allow that to happen."
A hunched, 7-foot-tall biped with the head of a snowy owl, black talons, cloven hooves, and grayish-white wolf fur covering her body from the neck down approaches. Protruding from her feathery owl’s head is a pair of curved goat horns. A cloak and cowl made of pristine white snow conceals much of her tripartite form. She is flanked by two frost giants.

“So you show yourself at last, Frostmaiden!” Krom shouts as the goddess and her guardians arrive at the Mythallar. “We fear neither you nor your oversized pets! By Moradin’s flaming beard, this dwarf will teach you not to toy with the lives of the people of Icewind Dale!” With heavy, determined strides, the dwarf advances toward the goddess. Krom raises his hammer and points it at her, chanting a hymn of evocation. As the final words leave his lips, a brilliant flash of light streaks forth from the weapon, lancing toward the Frostmaiden.
