As soon as Ang makes the observation Saros becomes very interested, albeit a little distracted that Khan is thumbing through the Tome, but steps up cliser to examine the picture, seeking to understand how the magic can be broken.

"Bubbles the Barbarian" (Locathah - Lvl 9) - Locathah Rising; Shai'ere Delatete (Githyanki Monk - Lvl 9) Rrakkma (deceased - MindFlayer); Saros Rockfoot (Deep Gnome Diviner - Lvl 5) - The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above; Tagret (Goliath Barbarian - Lvl 2) - Tales of Faerun;
Khan stares at the page for a moment, seeming to consider leafing through the rest for more answers. Though she doubted it would help with the trap, hope blossomed at the idea of at least reversing the damage done to a certain hopefully still sleepy grung outside. Which in hindsight she mentally kicked herself for letting thoughts of revenge blind her of the importance of bringing said Grung along.
After a few moments of grumbling to herself, and then glancing over to the painting again, the Orange grung sighed, closed up the book, and with more genuine patience, waited for an opportunity to pass it along to Saros. That is, at least while his face wasn't quite as crunched up studying the painting, and actually looking for maybe less destructive solutions than hers...

Celest nods and smiles at Ghee. She opens a wardrobe in the bedchamber and riffles through some clothes, eventually picking up a few dresses and a hat. Gnator offers to help her and she places a couple more outfits on his arms, as well as a delicate music box.
Meanwhile, Ghee keeps an eye out for anything that could interest him. Apart from a recently opened gift box that makes him wonder what the grungs found here, he spots little that piques his curiosity.
Celest approaches Ghee once ready: "We should go back to my room so I can add these to my travel bag."
Khan looks through the book for a few seconds before noticing that Saros is glancing at her with worried eyes. She takes a deep breath and closes the tome, not wanting to create additional conflict as the wizard studies the trap painting.
Saros and Ang jointly look at the painting more closely. The purple grung finds some arcane sigils on the frame of the painting and points them out to Saros. The gnome easily identifies them as the source of the conjuration aura around the entire piece. The pair then concludes that if they are able to separate the frame from the rest of the painting, they may be able to undo its magic.

Saros finishes his inspection and then turns to Khan and is genuineky surprised to see Khan holding the tome, waiting to hand it to him. Taking it, he does open it to confirm thd title, then stows it in his backpack for now, informinv Khan of his investigations "The magic trapping those inside the painting looks lkke it can broken. The frame is the key, remove the frame from the canvas and my guess is the magic will reverse, freeing those inside. Can you get it down fro the wall so we can see whether it will be easy, or whether we will have to resort to breaking the frame."
If of the grung can retrieve it well and good, otherwise Saros will shake his head and reach up with hjs staff to dislodge from the wall if possible.
Seeing Saros put the book away, Khan opens her mouth as if to protest something... but then closes it, and simply shakes her head in dismissal at any odds looks back in her direction. Armed after with the knowledge of how to undo at least the trap, Khan cannot help but grin a little as she eyed the picture. "If no protections, it can be done."With that, she'll hope onto the wall if necessary to get closer to the frame, then croak at Ang to do the same if she hadn't already.
"Remember. No underestimate Octopus head. Make sure no none magic trap in place."She said, and would help Ang not only in searching and testing the side of the frame for any mechanical traps, disable any that are, and then carefully remove picture and frame together so that it rested on the ground for ease of studying. Khan knew little about dismantling frames however, and so would continue to aid and follow Ang's dictation on the matter. Or handle that part with Ang's help and any tools that Grung might be able to provide at the moment.

Ghee chuckles to himself, "Ah dinnae ken how tae say this to ya Celest, but this is yoor hoose. Yer tha lady o' tha manor. We'll dae as ye ask, let's go pack a bag, but it might be easier tae carry it wi' us intae tha next room, eh?"
Turning to Gnator, Ghee decides to ask a question, "Of tha manor is being shuttered up, whit will ye be daein' wi' yerself?"

Saros offers advice "Lay it down so we can see the back and how the canvas is attached" and Saros too will investigate (15 and pass any observations on to the grungs, along the line of "Who is good with a hammer" in a raised voice tnat hopefully the rest of the companions can hear.
"Khan not Green or Servant." She replied, and even scoffed afterwards as if having heard a joke. "Khan meant for more."She said, thumping her chest proudly and even letting out a sonorous croak to book. But after a moment of basking in the declaration, the Grung cocked her head to the side in thought, then looked to Ang. "Ghee... Ghee may know. Many of kin lost home if Khan remember. But, they known well even to Grung. Very good with metal. With Pick. With hammer."
With that, she'd look around again, and starts marching for the doors, stating, "Teacher not listen! Ugh! Now Khan..." She trails off for a second, and noting Hyenrik(?)'s presence. "... not go. You. Beast good at smell. You find him, yes? Bring him back?" She asked of Darrik, if a little awkwardly so towards the end there.

Khan and Saros seem to engage on a relatively more amicable exchange. Khan offers the book and Saros shares his investigation's results regarding the frame of the painting. Saros asks Khan to bring the painting down and she recruits Ang's help. The purple grung also takes a measured look at the back of the painting to ensure no mechanical traps are at play. Failing to see anything that would indicate such a contraption, Ang nods and the painting is brought safely to the ground. The group notices that the canvas was attached to the wooden but magical frame by conventional means, employing nails, paper, and wire.
The group discusses possible approaches concerning the dismantling of the art piece and arrives at two possible routes:
Khan remembers that her old master, Ghee, has some skill with a hammer and a chisel if the group opts for a more careful approach.
Darrik, in his hyena form, offers to bite and claw the frame off the canvas if the group opts for a quicker approach.
@Darrik: If you sniff the air in search of Ghee as Khan requested, you'd easily identify the dwarf's scent coming from the Gallery Hall, which is just outside the room where you are.
Ghee reminds Celest that she is lady of the house now, an Idea she has not yet internalized. In fact, it doesn't look like she is ready to, based on her shake of the head and continuation of gathering items for her travel sack.
When asked about plans for the future, Gnator responds with a sad face: "All other servants fled the manor at the first sign of trouble. I doubt they survived whatever happened out there. Balick probably found the same fate. So, I guess I am all alone. Gotta go find a living elsewhere, I gather. Maybe I'll accompany you on your way out? Find my way into the first town you stop by?"
The 3Gs begin to make their way back to Celest's room, as requested by the teenager. While moving through the hall, Ghee hears Saros pondering out loud if anyone knows how to use a hammer.
If the pair are visible in the door frame, Khan makes a point while Ghee's back was still turned to narrow her eyes and motion from her eyes to the pair of Gnator and Celeste. Just to make sure that, regardless of their seeming freedom to move about, the Grung wasn't completely off their case. Yet.
By the time Ghee looks back to the party again, she gestures to picture frame. "Not crafting. Reverse crafting. Need remove frame. Carefully. Free Grung."She expresses, and would step back following her teacher's approach. "Ang here help if need."
