Hello, I'm posting this to inform you that I'll be conjuring some adventures for factions. In particular, I'll be starting my first adventure with a party composition made of Faction Agents of the Order of the Gauntlet. I'll be trying to run adventures for other factions as well. I'll most likely do a Zhentarim-based adventure next because at the moment, I don't have any ideas for the other factions. Hopefully I'll come up with ideas for an Emerald Enclave adventure later on, as well as Lord's Alliance and Harpers. I'm open to collaborate with anyone who may have ideas on faction-based adventures and wants to create their own stories.
With that being said, I'm just letting you know there will be some Qualifications you'll need to meet before applying. Since this campaign will be faction-based, that means character creation will be limited to fit the theme of the campaign.
Qualifications: 1. Time availability. I work night shift, and I live in Kentucky, USA; EST. My work schedule is Weds-Sun 10 PM to 7 am. I'm working from home so I always have access to my computer and can post at any time during that time frame. I'm looking for players that have a similar schedule to me so that we can actively post at the same time. If your schedule is the polar opposite of mine, then you may need to look elsewhere.
2. Activity. As mentioned above, I'd like for my games to be actively engaged. I'd rather not have the game slowed down due to inactive players. Posting at least twice a day is the minimum. If you're incapable of that, then you may need to look elsewhere.
3. Experience. Don't get me wrong, I'm not only looking for veterans. What I'm looking for, is for players that do have experience and are familiar with the factions. For those of you who aren't familiar with the five factions, you can read more about them here. Otherwise, if you aren't willing to learn and showcase that you're malleable (I'm not claiming to know it all; I may wind up learning things as we progress as well), then you may need to look elsewhere.
4. Character Creation. Since my first faction adventure is going to be Order of the Gauntlet, that means the list of options for party composition is going to be limited. I'm open to any race as long as exotic races have backstories that are suitable for this campaign. Character applications will only be reviewed for these classes:
Barbarian: Path of the Zealot
Cleric: Life Domain, Light Domain, Order Domain, and War Domain.
Monk: Way of the Open Hand, Way of the Sun Soul.
Paladin: Oath of Devotion, Oath of Glory, Oath of Redemption, and Oath of the Crown.
Sorcerer: Divine Soul
Warlock: The Celestial
Order of the Gauntlet: Reign of the Dead Three
Your HQ is located in Neverwinter. You've endured the tests and trials of becoming initiates of the Order of the Gauntlet. Whether you're a follower of Bahamut, Helm, Hoar, Illmatar, Torm, or Tyr; you find yourself among friends & family at the Order. Your Captain, Lanniver Strayl, will be in charge of assessments and mission coordination throughout your journey.
Below I'll be including two applications: one for the player, and one for the character. The player application will be gathering information about you, and the character application will be information about your character.
I'm going to be quite picky with the player application, so if you feel like you don't meet the qualifications mentioned above, then I'd advise not applying.
Character creation will be starting at level 3 and will be using Milestone for leveling. Rolling for Stats; you'll roll two sets of ability scores, rerolling 1's once. You'll choose Equipment instead of Gold. Character Background's can be Faction Agent, unless you have a background that's more suited to your character. I'm not going to use any homebrew or UA material.

Character Backstory:
I'm going to keep recruitment open for a week. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask below.
Time availability - Currently making the timeframe you ask for is difficult, but I will be moving in around one week to MST (GMT+3) and I will be available any time from 7PM-6AM EST. Activity - Two or more posts per day should not be of any issue; a solid 7. Experience - I am quite experienced with D&D, but I have not played many games where the factions were involved. I believe I have decent knowledge on the subject. As of now I am DM’ing two games on this site and playing in multiple, and have been playing 5e for about two years.
Name: Irzhalin Derstazar Race: Githzerai Class: Monk - Way of the Open Hand Alignment: Neutral Good Backstory: Raised in the various Githzerai islands and constructs floating in the chaos of Limbo, Irzhalin was rigorously instructed in the martial arts and disciplined practices of the monasteries and codes of honor that governed the society that he called home. Instilled with a stern respect for the balance of good and evil that rose in the swirling mass of the multiverse, Irzhalin was only truly devoted to fighting against the one true enemy of his people - the Githyanki. Fastidiously practicing to hone his mind and body, Irzhalin pledged his honor to defeat the Githyanki and all their subservient followers.
So when the original liberator of the Gith people - Gith herself - was rumored to be conversing with Tiamat and her followers, Irzhalin took it upon himself to travel the multiverse and strike down the supporters and followers of the evil that the Githyanki could hope to follow. Making it to the Forgotten Realms and traveling his way across the Swords Coast, he managed to finally find a group - the Order of the Gauntlet - with similar mindsets and goals. Without hesitation, he joined their ranks, and has been happily carrying out their tasks to his utmost ability.
Time Availability: My timezone is PST and my schedule is busy in the early mornings on weekdays, but I'm free in the afternoon and evenings.
Activity: I post at least once a day on the games I'm playing, unless the game is stalled or I'm waiting for someone to make a move in combat. I might also be idle if the DM and character are roleplaying a situation that doesn't involve my character. If I rated my participation - an 8.
Experience: I've been playing 5e for over two years with one year as a dungeon master. I've also played 3rd edition and 3.5.
Character Application:
First Set of Ability Scores: Ability scores: 111416141613
Second Set of Ability Scores: Ability scores: 151113141111
Character Name: Gar Bleeding Hands
Character Race: Goliath
Character Class: Barbarian (Path of the Zealot - Illmater)
Character Alignment: NG
Character Backstory: Gar was born somewhere in the Spine of the World, he isn't sure where. As a young goliath, he carelessly butchered and killed animals as a way for food and to prove his strength to others. He wasn't concerned with preserving the land or even the benefit of others outside of his family. One day, a priest of Bane and his caravan came to his herd and proclaimed wickedness was on the people and folks needed to be "cleansed." This cleansing consisted of killing most of the herd, including Gar's parents and siblings. He was burned but a bright light and a voice helped him break his ropes. Curiously, Gar's uncle, who was the herd's leader, was spared as was his family. Fearing Bane's wrath, Gar's uncle ordered his sons to hunt the wounded goliath. Gar knew the woods and managed to escape into a mine. There he met several servants of the god Illmater. The leader, a dark elf named Me'lina, said Illmater foretold Gar's coming. She taught Gar about Illmater, among other things, and as well as the Order of the Gauntlet. Gar wanted revenge against the priest, his uncle, and all servants of Bane, but Me'lina explained that justice would be better as it would prevent others from suffering Gar's fate. Listening to Illmater's creed of suffering and sacrifice melted his heart and he realized that doing good in the world would honor his family's legacy. She explained the Gauntlet's mission about justice and encouraged. Gar left the Spine of the World and joined the Gauntlet.

Character Application:
First Set of Ability Scores: 161314101416
Second Set of Ability Scores: 161617141315
Cant decide yet between two characters, id love to play either so perhaps one will be to your liking or will fit the group better.
Hrothgar comes from respected family. His father Obrin is a paladin who is well known in the surrounding lands. At a young age his father trained Hrothgar to follow in his footsteps. Teaching him more then just how to fight. As a paladin Obrin leads a group of soldiers called the Griffons Watch. One of which is Hrothgars uncle Tyron Bhadon, which is how his parents got introduced. As a commander Obrin also tought Hrothgar of tactics and to not just fight for himself. When he was older he also learned how to conduct himself in the presence of nobles and kings.
He learned to fight alongside others and found his natural place as a captain. Inspired by his fathers teachings Hrothgar is always inclined to protect and aid allies in combat. This brought him the respect of soldiers and those needing his aid. Near his hometown he started to make a name for himself. One day they received news of losses from an outpost guarded by the Griffons Watch. Among the fallen was Hrothgar's uncle. The once large group of the Griffons Watch was declining in size. Outposts lost to large raids.
Hrothgars father Obrin made the decision to recall most troops to form a single front once more. Leaving some parts of the land for other organisations to protect. But to protect the future of the watch Obrin knew he had to gain influence in the greater cities. So he decided to sent emissaries to other organisations to gain favor and relationships to rebuild their troops.
It was not an easy choice but Hrothgar was sent away to serve in the Order of the Gauntlet. So he went to Neverwinter to work and start to build a name. Using his new position to gain allies and friends.
How i intent to play: Ive played this character before as a Purple Dragon Knight fighter in a high character (short) campaign. He will be a protective player trying to lead the attack and keep enemies focused on him. I also intend to take the inspiring leader at lv 4 to become the leader role in the party, by that time the group will have gotten used to each other. With that i will do actual in game speeching to inspire the troops before battle.
Born from elven parents Senna was always different. Even though she resembles her eleven parents in beauty her skin was a tone of blueish grey and her hair white. Her birth was in the summer and started when the sun was still shining bright. The labor was long and difficult and stretched to the night. A calm night where the sky was clear of any clouds and the full moon lit the earth. Some say angels themselves cleared the skies of clouds that night to give their blessing on this child. Others believe her skin toned by the ashes of a phoenix fallen after a hot day. Whichever it is, it has marked Senna and always made her stand out.
Her unique appearance caused her to be somewhat of a loner and teased when she was young by other elves. But they soon learned she possesed magical powers most others of her age could only dream of. She was thought to contain her abilities, finding a line between right and wrong. But often there were times where she could not contain herself and for this she was sent to the Order of the Gauntlet. Her parents felt it was the best way for Senna to learn how best to use it.
At a very young age she was cared for by those related to the Gauntlet, as she was to young and not skilled enough to enter its service. But her caretakers followed the Orders teachings and tought her that her inner passion can be used for good. The passion that sometimes could be seen at hatred and anger exists in all beings, so say the teachings of the Order. It is here where she found peace and learned not to be ashamed but to feel blessed and to fit in. Senna started to show more interest in actually joining the Order and once the time came she participated in the tests. Finding her place in a group that would not shun her for being different.
How i intent to play: I chose the sorc aasimar combination because i think its the best fit and want to play her truly as how the faction sees the world. Everyone has evil inside them that they need to keep under control. In times of extreme danger or despair this evil in Senna will be left unchecked and allowed to bubble up. This will combine amazingly with her heritage and class to unleash an inner power using the scourge aasimar effect to become a bright light that is momentarily uncontrolled and will harm all that stand near (like the Galadriel outburst in lotr). And also harm herself as a reminder of the price of leaving evil unchecked. This represents the dormant power of sorc as well as being the embodiment of the factions beliefs. At later level (if we get there) im imagining combining this with the wings from divine soul to become a bright burning phoenix soaring over the battlefield charring all that stand below in an epic turn of the tide moment :). Alright now im rambling but you get the idea.
Time Availability: Usually can post at least couple times per day, usually in the late morning and afternoon and night. I live in Texas but work from home and keep late nights.
Activity: typically can post 2-3 times a day during the week. May have trouble on Saturday getting a post as busy.
Experience: Play lots of PBM and have NEVER ghosted....
Character Application:
First Set of Ability Scores: Ability scores: 181413161714
Second Set of Ability Scores: Ability scores: 16121615913
Character Name: Aer Adertha
Character Race: Sourge Aasimar
Character Class: 1 Fighter, 2 Divine Soul Sorcerer
Character Alignment: Lawful Good
Character Backstory: Aer had only one goal in life, to stand besides his comrades in arms and fight the good fight, as a soldier and a warrior. He thought he was Human...however, one day...The orc hoard came on...and on. Piles of dead stood in front of the battle line, however Aer and his comrades prepared for the final rush and said their prayers to the gods....and then darkness....Aer awoke to find all dead around him, friend and foe, as if from a lightining bolt from the heavens. He awoke....flying in the air with celestial wings sprouted from his back. He was not human and even more, he had been cursed with magic. No longer allowed to stand as a warrior in battle line, he had to find another way, and he found it with the order of the gauntlet
Do you plan to do the campaign with the current applications though? I think i have great characters but dont want to have the game start where you settle for a group that might not be what your looking for simply because there are only 4 ppl with a backstory here.
I like the current applications, just want to give other people time to apply but went 2 whole days without anyone else applying so I assumed most people aren't interested in a restrictive campaign like this so I figured just shorten the recruitment time. Just has me wondering if I should've started with my Zhentarim idea first as I'm sure Rogue-ish characters are more popular lol.
Not sure if its that, plenty of characters to make with this. Think its more the time schedule, most ppl on here are americans so would be night for them like it is for u.

But their power didn't scare him, rather it had Phinn more intrigued at their history. How their stories shape religion and more. He delved deeper into their stories, wanting to learn more and more of their history. Even going as far as learning of the laws and general practice of Tyr and Torm. Admiring Illmater's endurance and Helm's perseverance as a guardian. But he felt more connected with Bahamut, more willing to talk it out rather than fight it out. He joins the Order to both find and record more stories of the gods and their faithful.

Fearing he had stumbled on something he should not have, the young priest ran away, hiding in his tiny apartment from the other monks. The voice became persistent over the next few years till, in his 50's Father Cadfrey had had enough and turned and said, "What is it you want of me?"At that point, the universe opened up.
