Morg is from a small village in the far northern Darrma Region. He is a huge Half-Orc Barbarian, he can be mistaken for a full Orc, Morg is literally the bull in a china shop. While he may be well traveled he seems a bit slow, perhaps more than his backwoods farming community upbringing would explain. He can most often be found in the stables taking care of the livestock or playing with his runt war "Mastiif", Kev'n, that looks suspiciously like a pug. Morg is very uncomfortable in social gatherings and most find him a little odd. He is kind, but his Orc blood and massive frame does little to impart that on first-sight.
Morg's Clan, Clan Shanda, operate a caravan service through the Bloodstone Pass and after multiple incidents of breaking customer's property, the Clan encouraged Morg to travel and adventure through the land. The Clan told him it was to help spread word of the great work of his clan and their Half-Orc village, but many know it was to save money on reimbursement costs to the caravan service. Although clumsy and apt to break things he touches, once Morg is in combat he is as graceful as any dancer and his large frame moves effortlessly dodging and striking the enemy.
Rennick was always the ambitious sort but not like a crab in a bucket trying to climb up someone else’s back to get where he was going. He was intelligent and friendly, always willing to help out if someone needed it. Folks thought of him as naïve and one took advantage of this, nothing would ever be the same after the events of that night.
The memories are painful to recall and it has taken years to recover. People died that night and Rennick still does not have a clear understanding of what or who caused this to happen. He does remember that he was held accountable. Manipulated and betrayed, Rennick was a pawn in a larger game that he did not understand. One high-ranking member of the ranger organization he belonged trusted that Rennick was not the mastermind behind the events and got him banned to the Lurkwood instead of being thrown in prison.
He was sent to the Lurkwood. A dark and murky wood where few willingly explore its shadowy depths. It was in the Lurkwood that Rennick was found by the Gloomstalker. Three feet tall and invisible if he wants to be, Grinkhavin is a deep gnome. He patrols the forest as part of his rounds making sure the wrong folk don’t travel into the Wormswrithings and cause trouble for the gnomes of the Underdark. Grink taught Rennick how to survive in the Underdark and the dark places of the woods.
Slowly but surely Rennick has started to forgive himself for what happened that fateful night and has started to venture outside of the Lurkwood again. On a recent resupply trip to Neverwinter Rennick met with one of the folks he buys supplies from, Gundren Rockseeker, a dwarf who sometimes needs escorts for the trips he goes on. It is usually a good way for Rennick to make a few gold before heading back to the Lurkwood.
Goals: Come to terms with his exile. Forgive himself. Forgive the others that were involved in the event. My goal for him is to be accepted back into the mainstream ranger organization.
Secrets: That there is a traitor in the Harpers organization but he doesn't know who. He just knows that it wasn't him. Who the real traitor is. (he does not know the answer to this)
Having a hard time nailing down the background trait for this character. Still trying to nail it down just how I want it. (so it may change around a bit)
