If possible Kayassa will use her slightly enhanced speed to chase after him and get to the stairs and attempt to fire an Eldritch Blast down at the wizard as he tries to run. If not then she will dash to get as close as possible.
((Looking at the map, if Vulmar hugs the wall, he should be able to get to the landing at the top of the stairs. Strength of 9 so he should be fine clearing the gap with a jump.))
As the group gives chase, a certain silver-haired elf refuses to be left behind. He moves to follow, leaping gracefully over the gap. Drawing line of sight to the fleeing mage, he clasps his silver orb in both hands, and takes a moment to assess the relative heartiness of Duncan and of Glass Staff.
He casts sleep, rendering unconscious 10 hit points worth of creatures within 20 feet of the end of that hallway, starting with the weakest creature.

Duncan quickly recovers from the shock of Glasstaff’s escape and dashed after the fleeing wizard. Drawing on his final reserves, Duncan draws his glaive and swipes towards Glasstaff who turns with a gasp, but is narrowly able to dodge the attack (Miss).
Vulmar acrobatics to clear the gap: 16 The lithe half elf easily clears the gap, cutting off Glasstaff on the other side. He then murmurs an incantation, successfully casting the sleep spell, but it seems to have no effect on the wizard or Duncan.
Kayassa acrobatics to clear the gap: 14 Kayassa also easily clears the gap, her goat legs easily bounding over it. She then sends a blast of eldritch energy rocketing towards the injured wizard. They strike him in the back, causing a grunt of pain (-10hp (Total: -21 hp))
Daphina and Orro are up! Map has been updated, what would you like to do?
Orro would be able to move a total of 40 feet, dashing to reach the fleeing wizard, but coming to a quick stop at the doorway out of the laboratory— right behind Duncan.
(I’ll go ahead and bot Daphina this round)
Daphina rushes after Orro, using most of her movement to reach the space behind Orro, but does nothing else.
Glasstaff is up!
The hurried wizard looks around with fear. The entire party had quickly caught up to and surrounded him. He raises his hands as if to casts a spell, but slowly raises them further, calling out to you. “Now please, my good people.” He says with a small chuckle. “Let’s calm down and talk this out.... I know you all don’t want to kill me, nor do I wish to kill you. Perhaps we can erm work something out.”
For this time, we are still in initiative... Duncan, Vulmar, and Kayassa are up! Daphina and Orro may also queue their actions for the next round. Map has been updated; what would you like to do?

Duncan isn't one to kill someone when they are surrendering, but still reeling from the shock, he isn't very happy about this man at the moment, so uses his action, and anger, to reach out and grab the man's staff, attempting to pull it from him, almost growling when he says, "We can't let you try to hurt anyone else..."
Duncan moves to take the staff, but Glasstaff instinctively moves back to dodge the aggressive grasp. However, Vulmar then brandishes his dagger, murmuring a threat to the injured wizard, causing him to quickly hand it over and stand back, hands up.
“See, my good people. No harm done. Now, it seems that we are on the same page... violence wise. How may I help you?” Glasstaff asks sarcastically, smiling patronizingly towards your group, yet a tinge of fear in his eyes.
Duncan simply snatches the staff from him and stands at the ready glaring down at the man ((maybe offering 'help' on intimidation)) as the others question him.
Is he holding what seems to be a spellcasting focus, or some kind of pouch with components? Orro will look at him, and then begin to separate him from any focus or bag. He doesn't want him casting. "We're looking for a lost friend. You wouldn't know about people going missing, would you?"
Kayassa frowns at the tone of his voice, looking to the others slowly as she keeps the magical energy ready to blast the smug wizard.. "Should I make him interested in talking?"
Orro: It would be safe to assume that the staff (which he gave to you) is Glasstaff’s main spellcasting focus. Other than that, you do remember him having his spell book, but it is not visible right now.
“Hmmm, a missing person....” Glasstaff muses. “No, no, I can’t say I know anything about something like that. Hmmmm... why might you be asking?” He asks, mock concern in his voice.
Kayassa will move closer and look at him as she begins to activate her Fey Presence in an attempt to charm the wizard to be more willing to tell them what they want to know.
"Now come on we all want to be friends. How about you tell me and my friends what we want to know." Kayassa says as she gives the wizard her best friendly smile.

Orro will try to help Duncan grab the staff.
Vulmar draws his dagger as he closes into melee with the mage, but does not attack. His voice is cool as he gestures to Duncan
"Well, I don't like killing, but my associates here are pretty worked up. You had best drop your staff and offer an impressive deal."
