Cnicus once again writes down something on his journal as he walks, and he's humming to himself what seems to be a new song he's composing.
He stops what he's doing a few times as if hearing something and pays attention for a brief moment to see if anyone has spoken to him before going back to writing.

Baymen is contemplative. Technically, he sailed into this new land and saw some of this on the way in but he wasn't really paying attention. The trip to Trishdale was full of anxiety so he just wanted to get into town. There was much head holding and sky gazing and now, its abit of the same as he thinks about what's happened since then.
He saw Cnicus turn and look about once or twice but he had nothing to say quiet yet, nodding in affirmation each time as he continued to walk.
The fishermen family leads the party through the denser part of the woods, while Alex marks down their surrounding's on a map. She notices that at first, the party had went straight north from Trishdale to head for the Shore. But these fishermen are beginning to deviate from that path and lead the party westward.
Map for reference:
The party travels into the late afternoon, the sun begin to setting early due to it being mid-fall. Miraculously, no threats are encountered during the romp through the forest- the fishermen must be experts at avoiding danger in this area. However, just as the sun is setting, Lucas's father raises his hand for the party to halt.
A few whispers are exchanged among the fishermen, and Lucas comes over to explain. "My dad says he feels something isn't right about this place. He can be stubborn sometimes, but he's saved our skins more than once. But, we need to find somewhere safe to set up camp. Does anyone want to come with him to investigate?"

Baymen turns his head, not quiet looking at Alex but listening intently. He wants to say something but he's very unsure, not wanting to upset the new guides...
He decides that he trusts Alex's map far more than them, but he'll let the others speak. He does not volunteer to find a camp with the Dad.
"...Well, I for one wouldn't actually mind seeing another one of those. They aren't going to catch me off guard this time." Cnicus replies with a smirk. "If there's something not right here, I'm curious to see what it is. I'm in."

Lucas responds to Alex, "You are quite a perceptive one! We are indeed going to the west, for many such rare herbs grow by the river. In fact, the above ground river system actually expands into an underground portion as well- that's where we last saw such herbs, when we were fishing for the larger catch down there."
Cnicus follows the father and the uncle as they continue forward into the Corrupted Forest.

"Okey-dokey, no problem!" Cnicus answers cheerfully, as he checks the forest around them. He still think the eeriness of the forest is actually quite beautiful, but now he's more aware of the dangers that could be hiding in its shadows, waiting to strike. He readies his dagger, just in case.

AS they take off, Baymen stooped about looking for a semi clearing or place that may yet be cleared without disturbing the Forest. Any rotted vegetation, open ground, or, dead wood will suffice as he might clear it for a campfire.

The darkening sky looms overhead as the party begins their individual searches. Cnius accompanies the father and the uncle as they head deeper in the woods, investigating for any signs of danger. Meanwhile, the rest of the group tries to find a place to settle for the night.
Outside of the forest, Baymen discovers a usuable camping ground, which is easily cleared away for the night. As B8 searches for enemies, he doesn't find any immediate threats. However, his robotic eyes discovers a few long strands of blood-stained silk, which face the direction that Cnius ventured forth.
(I'd say the group is about 60 feet from Cnius, the father, and the uncle)
In the woods, Cnius's search turns out empty. Nothing seems to inhabit this part of the Corrupted Forest, nor would anything give cause for worry. But just as the search group is prepared to head back, webs shoot out from above! Three giant spiders, with mandibles dripping with poison, have ambushed the group!
