Joshua is carrying the remaining treasure of 160 sp, 120 gp 3 gemstones, a vial of liquid. The longsword is potentially going to Lymbryl.
@lymbryl
A long sword in a silver-chased scabbard is suggested to you by Velshir. Do you pick it up?
@Joshua
The three gems are Malachite - worth about 15 g ea, the Vial of liquid looks similar to those that you've seen in trading posts for sale though the label is worn to unreadable.
This area is the north end of a large natural cavern, but it has been finished with dressed stone block walls and a flagstone floor. Several barrels are stored against the walls here, along with a number of empty crates, straw for packing, hammers, pry bars, and nails.
They look like they were probably looted from another caravan but no specific markings that you can see. You do notice a number of beaver pelts among the boxes.
Seems fishy. If it were truly a nook then he would have expected the stuff to be piled up there instead of where it actually is. Velshir takes a closer look at the walls and ground.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sheyla will take her time and study the ground. She looks at the dirt and dust on the ground and tries to determine if there is a recently disturbed path or a section that looks more worn than another.
This room is well-built with flagstone floors and walls of dressed stone blocks but
@velshiryour suspicious are correct. As you approach you see a faint outline in the shape of a door in the rock of the wall at the end of the alcove.
your passive perception is sufficient to notice.
@Sheyla you notice that there has been significant wear and disturbance to the stone evidencing much traffic through here.
as well as likely equipment and you can see subtle scratches in the floor as things may have scraped while being carried through this area. You also observe in your passing that the beaver belts among the supplies are quite nice and may bring a good price to anyone who sells them.
@Loren
my, those beaver pelts look valuable...
@unthir
The door at the end of the alcove seems quite obvious to you as well as you get closer. (passive perception). Come to notice that there might be something about that other wall too - west wall / bottom square there's another door like the one in the alcove.
Also there was something familiar about the design on the scabbard of that sword in the chest.
@lymbryl
there is something fine about the sword in the chest and the workmanship upon it that you notice even at a distance. The beaver pelts in the supplies in the room you are in now look quite valuable to you.
@Joshua
There's something about the designs on the scabbard of the sword in the chest that you remember...
Loren walks over and hefts one of the pelts. Pleased by their feel of luxury, he ducks underneath one for a moment, unclipping it and turning it into a cape, after which he turns to the party and strikes a dramatic pose.
Sheyla rolls her eyes. "Something to come back for. They are too heavy to carry and if things get messy, we'll likely to ruin them. Anyways, this seems to be the route deeper in. I can tell by the wear from the pathway."
Through the door is a short passage with a locked door across from the one you entered and another door at the end of the 5' wide hallway. This area is brightly lit by oil lamps in wall sconces. The doors are made of wood with iron handles, hinges, and built-in locks.
(You come in from the top left section of the wall, the x on the door across from you only indicates that it is locked.) Current order is Velshir followed by Joshua.
Unthir will grab a pry bar and twirl it about in the air pointing a thumb to the barrels and crates.
"Should we open them?"
I’m assuming Lymbryl will check out the sword once he gets a chance. If not, Velshir will show it to him to see if he’s interested.

Let’s go north
This is the room at the top -
This area is the north end of a large natural cavern, but it has been finished with dressed stone block walls and a flagstone floor. Several barrels are stored against the walls here, along with a number of empty crates, straw for packing, hammers, pry bars, and nails.

Looks like we can continue to the right?
Velshir approaches the north side of the room and sees that its only an alcove.
Seems fishy. If it were truly a nook then he would have expected the stuff to be piled up there instead of where it actually is. Velshir takes a closer look at the walls and ground.

@loren
could probably get 2 g ea for these, and there's at least 30 of them about.
Sheyla rolls her eyes. "Something to come back for. They are too heavy to carry and if things get messy, we'll likely to ruin them. Anyways, this seems to be the route deeper in. I can tell by the wear from the pathway."
Velshir cautiously opens the door and proceeds
Joshua will pickup a random rock and cast Light on it and follow Velshir thru the doorway.

Loren pops his head through the door, taking in the surroundings. "Hang on... Velshir, did you light those lamps? Why are they burning?"
“I did not. Can you check this door?”
