Hi! I'm Qila, a new DM! This is my second game I have been DM'd in! I'm starting a recruitment thread for D&D's Frozen Sick.
The Story
While the characters are in Palebank Village, community leader Elro Aldataur asks for their help figuring out who or what has killed Urgon Wenth. An explorer recently returned from Eiselcross, Urgon was afflicted by a strange malady that turned him into an ice statue, and which has since shown up in another of the village’s residents. The characters investigate the mystery while contending with the forces of the Uttolots, one of the criminal families that control Shadycreek Run. More infected locals are discovered, including one more already dead, before the characters clear Uttolot thugs out of a local cavern complex called Croaker Cave. In the end, the vials of frigid woe are reclaimed, but merchant Irven Liel and his family are infected and will be the next to die without a cure. Moreover, the characters might well be infected with the disease themselves.
Elro asks the characters to travel to Eiselcross to seek a cure for frigid woe. The characters take a boat to Syrinlya, the Uthodurnian outpost on Foren, and retrace Urgon Wenth’s path to the ruin of Salsvault. This magic laboratory was once a part of Aeor, an ancient flying city-state that crashed into Eiselcross during the Calamity. Only by braving Salsvault’s defenses and deadly guardians can the adventurers find the antidote they need.

Vandal lived a simple life with his tribe, traveling the wilderness and keeping to themselves, until an orc tribe attacked them, lead by a human "shaman". Everyone he knew was killed, leaving him slowly dying in the dirt, alone. The man saw him, laughed, and kicked him off of the Cliffside without even the decency to finish him himself.
Floating down the river, succumbing to his wounds, Vandal felt a surge of fury rise within him. He called out to whoever would listen for vengeance before he slipped into unconsciousness. Awakening some time later, he found himself on the riverbank, woulds healing, with no idea how he had survived. The only thing echoing through his mind as he pulled himself out if the mud was "I will help you...find him....." Now he finds himself in Palebank Village, still trying to find the man from his past.

- NAME: Chloe Springpine - CLASS: Cleric - BACKGROUND: Chloe grew up in Zadash, where she was raised to serve Pelor. She itched for adventure, though, and her parents and religious leaders decided that she would do better out in the world, rather than staying cooped up in the city. She first traveled to Rexxentrum, then east to Shadycreek run. She stayed there for a few months, attempting to spread the word of Pelor, before she had a run-in with a member of the Uttolots and had to flee northward to Palebank village, where she has now been for just a few weeks. - YOUR TIME ZONE: Eastern Time - YOUR D&D/PbP EXPERIENCE: 5 years of D&D, but just 1 month of PbP
- NAME: Vagen Hotch - CLASS: Fighter - BACKGROUND: Vagen Hotch is an awkward individual born with a dull face. He keeps a small book that he writes on often, keeping track of the events that would make an interesting story to tell his little siblings back home. That was mostly for his younger sister of course, as her eyes awe in the songs of heroes tale and have an imagination too powerful for her own good. Being raised by non-biological parents was one thing, but when you're not built to live like them, things get a little harder when you get twice their size and begin touching the ceiling with your head.
After years go by, the family grew. Many mouths to feed. Vagen chooses to leave, saying goodbyes as his eyes looked forward. The deep sense of exploring the world was scary at first, and he might not be ready with how he was raised to be... That is where he eventually met a few people along the way as they travel to Palebank Village, trying his best to understand the people of this world. This might be the people he would write about — a story for his siblings when he gets back.
- YOUR TIME ZONE: GMT +8 (my internal clock is hardwired to wake up at night, and sleep in the morning XD) - YOUR D&D/PbP EXPERIENCE: I have never done a voice chat before. . . but I have about 1-ish years of experience through post-by-post campaigns!
Sounds great! I've been looking to play about in Wildemount since the book came out:
NAME: Teelavan Diamonddew - CLASS: Ranger - BACKGROUND: Teelavan has spent most of his life working for the Jagentoth family in Shadycreek Run. Traveling to places in the Biting North, scavenging for artifacts and rare plants, and taking them back to the family for smuggling to the Menagerie Coast, the Dynasty, the Empire, and everywhere in between. Though the Jagantoths were utterly brutal, Teelavan did not think much about those hurt by their crimes -- until his own sister became hooked on the illicit substances that Teelavan had inadvertently helped create. Suddenly faced with the horror of his actions, Teelavan ran -- and his stop in Palebank Village is intended to be a temporary hiding place until he can disappear forever. - YOUR TIME ZONE: Eastern U.S. - YOUR D&D/PbP EXPERIENCE: I've been playing D&D since 2003 while I was in college both as a player and a DM. I have much less PbP experience -- have only been playing for about three months. Currently in two campaigns and DM'ing one other.
- NAME: Art Sparrow - CLASS: Rogue - BACKGROUND: For as long as Art can remember the sea has been his life. Coming from a long line of sailors, Art was conceived at sea, delivered at sea and now spends most of his time at sea as a deckhand upon the crabbing ship, Cornelia Marie. Every winter the Cornelia Marie would make the trip to the waters off the coast of Palebank Village, following the migration patterns of the crab and this year was no different. However this time when they docked at Palebank Village's port for supplies the captain and some of the crew were inadvertently exposed to the frigid woe disease that had been plaguing the village. With his captain and crew mates lives at stake, Art sets out to try and find a cure. - YOUR TIME ZONE: +8 GMT - YOUR D&D/PbP EXPERIENCE: Been playing since AD&D and am currently involved in a number of 5e PbP games.

Slighted by a former lover (a Palebank icefisherman named Ishmael), I took to the Flotket Alps headed for Uthodurn to "find myself". I wanted to pay my respects to Melora The Wildmother, a deity revered by my own late mother, while soaking in all the natural beauty of lake Kravaraad. Contemplating my poor decision making in regards to my love life, I was hit by a smoldering piece of hot molten rock that didn't quite make it into the water. Fleeing to the Dust's, Tyla who I am friendly with, patched me up temporarily, but sent me on my way to Uthodurn for some R&R where I have been recovering for the last two weeks.
At some point while I was shuffling my injured self through Uthodurn, I realized I left one of my favorite novels at Ismael's (typical me). I have just made my way back into Palebank, snuck into Ishmael's house since he's out , and snagged my book. Hungry, and with no real plans (I was supposed to go on this latest ice fishing trip with Ishamel), I head to the local pub where I grab a bowl of stew, a stein of mead, and settle down by the fire to start my book for the thousandth time... as hushed whispers of frigid death fills the air around me.

- BACKGROUND: Meredith began her early life in a loving family home with multiple brothers and sisters. A truly aristocratic upbringing. While her siblings are related by blood to her parents, she was adopted early into their relationship out of fear they would not be able to have a family of their own. Because of her own insecurities of being slightly disconnected from her siblings by blood and and the separation of her family from other children, Meredith soon found a love in the simplicity of breaking things apart and then putting them back together. Small wind up toys, pocket-watches, and other trinkets. Her father noticed this passion and connected her with Voto Xalbar, a small and rickety old gnomish man who enjoys dimly lit environments and the smell of sulfur, as he was the Maker of Arms and Official Artificer in her city. She spent much of her later childhood years into her adulthood working in his shop, and sees Voto as a grandfather figure.
Later, Meredith being the oldest in her family, was told to marry into one of the other noble families nearby. She married a man named Elijah, whose family in short was jealous of her families higher wealth and political power. They lived a comfortable life for a few years, and frequently travelled to fulfill business arrangements for their families. During a "charity event" hosted by Meredith's family in their home, where she was gifting some of her inventions to a local orphanage and wayward house, missionaries arrived and chaos ensued, leaving most of Meredith's family dead. The last she saw of Elijah, he looked calm, and was holding conversation with the intruders. Meredith and her youngest brother Archie managed to flee into the woods, but after being spotted and chased, she lost him in the struggle and has not seen him since. She does not know if he is alive.
Meredith ended up in Palebank village out of necessity. With nowhere else to turn, she kept a low profile and took whatever jobs were available to her, enough to keep her alive and cling on the sliver of hope she has.

YOUR D&D/PdP EXPERIENCE: About 3/4 years of D&D experience, I have run one-shots as well but never full campaigns. Play-by-post every now and then, but not entirely skilled with it.
Background: as the name suggest, he has very little charisma and wisdom. However, he is passionate about what he does, and he is VERY good at it. While most his people are barbaric warriors, he is more keen, and precise. This all started when he met and helped a lost human knight in the mountain range, who was lost and injured. The knight showed him that not all combat has to be barbaric, and despite the detrimental addition to armour cost for Goliaths, decided to become a fighter. As much as he admires the knight, he still cannot ride a horse for long before his back breaks, however, he heard once a story of great white mammoths in the icy north, and decided to step forth to find a worthy steed, and perhaps find the old friend who he knew so many years ago.
Experience: I have been playing d&d for a long time, never on D&D beyond though.
In Darktow he was mostly just a deckhand and Carried Goods for the Pirates who docked at the The Pirate Town. The ship sank and all of the crew were drowning and when he was an inch from death a loud voice said:"Live and become my champion or Die as nothing. Of course he chose to live. This voice he soon learnt was Uk'otoa a Leviathan Demigod trapped beneath the Bedrock of the Lucidian Ocean. After Uk'otoa saved him he instructed Toryl to go North to seek out the Undermaw and on his way he stopped in Palebank.
