Reopening recruitment. This campaign has actually run to completion of the module Lost Laboratory of Kwalish, and is now on to Infernal Machine Rebuild. It is a continuing campaign and largely written that way by the authors, but of course they make it open to I sort other adventures. I say all this ro explain why this isn't a new separate recruitment thread. If there's enough interest in starting another campaign from the Kwalish module, we might do that and eventually merge into one.
What's the current party composition? I only ask as I have a couple of concepts and would want to put forward something that's different to what's onboard already.
I'd submitted this character previously, so I'll drop him in here again. I did get a chance to play a version of him in another campaign, but it was very short lived, we never left the starting area.
Character: Grizzle Fizzle
R/C/S: Goblin Wild Sorcerer, Hermit
Backstory: Grizzle is well aware that he's quite mad, he just doesn't let it bother him too much. He wasn't always mad, but then he didn't always have Big Magic. That only happened after he found his Smiley Bopper, an iron rod with a grinning face at the end. At first he only used it as a hitting stick, to keep the other goblins in line, but then he started being able to do Big Magic. His clan was able to use his Big Magic to ward off their enemies and grow strong. His Big Magic mostly happened how he wanted, but there were... mishaps. That's how he got so big (for a goblin) and bright blue. And there was that time that he blew up most of his village... and the other time... and the other time... by the next time, there wasn't a whole lot left of his village, and they decided that having Grizzle around to protect them was worse than no protection at all, and he was no longer welcome there. Which was fine by him, none of them appreciated how brilliant Grizzle was.
He lived by himself for a while, but eventually got bored of talking to the rocks and trees, they didn't make for a good audience for his Big Magic. Maybe he needed a trip, something to challenge him and his Big Magic. He stowed away on a ship when he overheard some of the sailors talking about the dangerous wilds they were sailing towards. It was all going well enough until he was trying to kill a rat to eat and accidentally set off his Even Bigger Magic. Chaos ripped the ship apart, and next thing he remembered was waking up on a sandy shore. Good thing he had his Smiley Bopper on a strap at his wrist!
I am reopening this campaign. I have 3 active PCs now and I'm looking to add 3 more. Current party include a wizard, a ranger and a rogue. Looking for some variety.

Character sheet:https://ddb.ac/characters/58163488/nlP8rG Name: Kili Amadumath Race: Triton Class: Life cleric Pronoun: She/her Background: Cloistered scholar Backstory (flexible if you feel you want to add something to merge the character to the story):
She had spent her life with her nose in a book. When the other children played in the streams and played hide and seek amongst the kelp, Kilis would sneak in to the temple to read and listen to the scholors talking. It became such a regular thing that the old monk Molzos offered her parents to let her live amongst them in the temple. So that is where she grew up, as a mascot for the monks and priests. In a way spoiled but at the same time taught the value of hard work and study. As she grew older Molzos became worried that she hadn’t experienced anything of the real world. She lived her life through her books. So he started taking her on short expeditions, exploring the sea and making her help their people whit her knowledge. Kilis preferred to stay by her books but did as her mentor asked. That was until one day when she saw some of her people fighting with dryfolks. She had never studied the customs of these people and she got curious and wanted to learn more. But there was no books to be found on the subject. For the first time in her life, Kilis could not find the answer to her questions. This scared and fascinated her. She decided that she would write the books on dryfolks.
Leaving her monastery and everyone she knew behind, she traveled up on land and started her travels.
She was not always well meet, her appearance frightened some people. But she was a skilled healer and she helped when she could. But most of all she gathered information as she walked amongst the dryfolks. But the more she learned the more she wanted to know.
Two things she never seemed to lose was her curiosity and naively world view.

Basina Fairfoot- Halfling paladin Shadow through the forest (Shadow) - Tabaxi Ranger (beastmaster)
Born inland, Raeland moved to the coast at a young age and became besotted with the sea. He spent much of his time at the docks, associating with all manner of folk, soon learning that there was a divide in those people that would spend time entertaining a young lad, and those that would not. Before his tenth birthday he found his way onto a trading vessel as ships boy and undertook his first voyage ont othe sea. Years passed and Raeland spent more time on teh water than land, always itching to get back to the sea. He slowly slipped into less reputable circles, drinking and carousing, petty larceny when he had spent his coin, and found his way onto ships that pirated the waters, preying on the trading vessels he'd once crewed.
One Captain promised riches beyond measure for a voyage into danger, and Raeland was quick to accept. The adventure went sour and the crew ended up cursed by a sea-witch without so much as a copper to show for it. The crew steadily maddened, their actions and mental state declining whenever they sailed into deep water, eventually they mutinied and before long dispersed to ports or seeking other seas. Raeland left the waters, hoping to find a cure, but eventually learned to use the strange affliction to his benefit. Now he seeks coin and treasure, and a way to return to the deep waters that he loves.
Backstory: Gravity believes in money and treasures but bland jobs like working as an apprentice in Alchemical Laboratory, fabricating weapons fail to attract her attention even if these can offer enough payment. Thus, she will 'conquer' the treasures hidden inside ancient tombs, 'earn' rare artifacts from fellow hunters and replicate them in order to sell the artifacts as authentic items. It doesn't matter if the artifact is derived from extraterrestrial or otherwordly resources, she won't stop unless she finds herself being the sole owner of legendary items.
Thank you for all the applications. All invitations have been sent at this time. Cheers.
