"That is not a good sign..." Cade says as he spots what is coming towards them. "Dust cloud, with a lot of people, likely over a hundred..." He glances to the others as he speaks. "Best get off the road and try to hide."
(ouch!!! I guess Wil is too busy being captivated by butterflies or something to notice what’s going on around him... lol)
Wil is snapped out of his distraction by Cade’s comment, sees what he’s talking about and starts looking for an appropriate place for the group to hide as they walk along.
Investigation: 12
(well here’s hoping the combination of the nature and investigation rolls get us what we need)
There is an abundance of cover, however, much of it is very thorny. Wil, you are able to lead the group off-road to an appropriate and safe location for the caravan to pass.
From cover, you see a caravan pass, heading back the way you came. There are almost a dozen wagons loaded with supplies, accompanied by an appropriately large entourage. Trying to count them as they pass, you lose count somewhere after 80 and there are still more of them passing.
After what seems an eternity, the sounds of their passing finally fades where you feel safe to extricate yourselves from cover.

Once extricate from his hiding place and back on the road with the rest Barnabus turns to them and says excitedly, "You know what? If all them are here might be less where we're headed. If we hurry we might be able to set up some kind of trap or be done before they get wind of it." He looks as if a single nod of agreement might send him off running.
"Seems like a lot of people." Cade says as he stares in the direction the caravan just went. "Why so many people?" The question seems more as if he is asking himself though, not anyone else.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"And most importantly where are they all going? I assume it's to capture more inoccent people, but that many people... could capture dozens of lives in a single day... Where exactly do they attack and what kind of person are they looking for?" says Bart more inquisitive than ever after seeing so many in this group of enemies. "we should follow the tracks from where they came and see if it leads us anywhere fun." He says and if no one disagrees will start to follow the tracks.

The tracks of the caravan lead along the same track you have been following, in compliance with the map as well. The remainder of the day passes without incident and again just as the sun is close to setting you come upon another large campsite. This time it appears to have been very recently used.

"Hey Bart, maybe you should let the Captain know about the militia just in case they don't stop at the keep this time. He might want to send a scout or a look out at least. Especially when they see how we left their friends. Also I've been thinking about the numbers and about what happened to each of us. There were multiple groups roaming around looking for converts. Junior said they work in shifts. Every few weeks they get replaced. The numbers are close. 5 of us, and I had three try to take me, not sure about the rest of you, but that's 15 average lets say, plus how ever many we rescued, but I'd say at least 50 possibly. Anyway, seems like it could explain a bit about the size of the force we saw. But who knows. This ol' noggin is better for banging' on than theorizin'."
"Great idea my dwarven friend." He sends the information out through the sending stone to the captain after looking a little too surprised at the level of math that the dwarf just did.

As the group walks along Barnabus comments on the musings of Bart and Cade, "Perhaps they are planning to restore the keep as an outpost."
