(Carxus tries to judge which Goblin is the most weakened and decides to attack the Goblin on the bridge with a Fire Bolt. The bolt hits the Goblin square in the chest, burning him badly! He lets out a shriek for just a moment before going silent and falling over, dead.

A look of terror appears on the Final Goblin's face, but, feeling there are no options, he takes one final desperation shot at Nikta.)

The Goblin's arrow manages to hit Nikta in the left arm around the bicep area. The Goblin makes a desperation run to the door, but it's blocked by everyone standing there.)

You all assess the situation. Bess is sobbing softly, terrified, in the locked cage in the corner. The bodies of your vanquished enemies litter the room. The makeshift altar still stands before the statue of a vaguely familiar knight. And some of you are injured and bleeding.)
DMs notes: Congratulations on winning the battle, adventurers! Let me know what you do, using the sketch I previously provided. Please remember to be specific.
I'll remove the arrow, and go over to let bess out of the cage and give her the stuffed animal her father left with me. I'm not terribly good with kids though, so it's a little awkward overall. "Anybody know how to deal with ... these?" I say, gesturing toward the crying child.
Once she's set up I'll take a look over the BugBear's body, since it'd likely be the closest to me...
... and just for record keeping - I should be down to 8HP, having that 4 pt Temp HP buffer from my last kill.

"Nikta don't be rude, can't you see the poor child is scared." Lena walks over to the cage and kneels down beside the girl.
"Hello Bess, my name is Lena. Your papa sent us to rescue you." She gives the crying child her best reassuring smile. As she is sitting next to her Lena is going to look over Bess for any wounds.

Lorys puts away her swords and gives the frightened child a friendly smile. At the same time, she knows how humans, especially human children, can react to her appearance, so she goes to join Carxus to examine the statue.
"This knight looks so familiar," she murmurs, partly to herself and partly to the other Tiefling. "Why would the goblins choose here to perform their ritual?"
(Gerard searches the Shaman Goblin's body and finds a rusty dagger, a robe, and half-full potion of healing. There's also burnt incense of poor quality.
Nikta walks over to the Bugbear after having given Bess the little rag doll her father had asked him to give to her. He searches the bugbear and finds 5 Gold and a set of keys. He tosses them over to Lena, who is doing her best to reassure the poor child. Bess does not appear to have any wounds, but is very dirty and traumatized. She takes the key and unlocks the cage to let Bess out.
Carxus and Lorys look over the statue and think long and hard about what they see. Lorys doesn't know how, but the face on the statue seems familiar.)
Spoiler for Carxus:
You think it looks like that guy on the mural, the leader guy... you know, the guy... but you can't remember his name.
On the base of the statue, you notice a small plaque with an inscription that reads:
"If you are to keep this, you must first give it to me."
(Gerard steps back after saying this. A low rumbling appears to be coming from the statue...
...
...
and it stops. It seems almost like Gerard's words triggered something deep within the statue, but maybe something was wrong or missing? Hmmm...
Gerard goes on to loot the bodies of the 3 Goblins inside the room, finding the standard, poor quality shortbows, daggers, and leather armor, as well as coppers totaling up to 1 gold between them all.
Meanwhile, Bess is free from her cage and holds on to her little rag doll tightly. She seems to have gravitated towards Lena as her protector, hiding behind her as the rest of the party pokes around the dead bodies.)
“Delving while keeping ourselves alive will be hard enough, much less with a kid in tow. Taking her back and stocking up before going in sounds like the best idea to me, Lena.”

(The party takes Bess and escorts her out of the tomb area, going back past the stone bridge, back past the offering room with the murals, and up the stairs to the entrance. It's early afternoon. If you hurry, you might just make it back to the village before it gets too late. Lena helps clean Bess up a little bit and you are on your way.
You trek briskly, already somewhat familiar with the woods and no longer having to worry about tracking. It is late in the evening, around 8 or 9pm when the party arrives back at the north edge of town near Rickard's property.)
"Bess! My sweet girl!"
(Rickard runs and meets you all outside of his gate just as you clear the woods. He has obviously been waiting near there, hoping to see you all return.
"Papa!" Bess cries, as they run and embrace each other, both shedding tears of joy. The sight of the big, burly Blacksmith crying over having his little girl back brings joy to all of your hearts. After letting them have their moment, Rickard thanks all of you, shakes all of your hands, and bids you all to allow him to take you back to the Tavern so that you may rest.
"They did it! They saved my girl!" Rickard shouts as they enter the busy Tavern. The townspeople are all excited, cheering, clapping you all on the back, congratulating you all and Rickard for getting his daughter back. Willfred shakes all of your hands and offers you all whatever you wish to drink or eat, on the house. Jack the Serving Boy hugs Bess and holds back tears as well. The entire tavern proclaim you heroes and surround you, eager to hear your tales of heroism and how you saved Bess.)
DM's notes: Feel free to RP here, whatever you all want to do. If you all want to return to the Tomb let me know, or if you fell you've completed your mission and want to move on, that's fine, too.
