Name: Fauna WillowBlossom Race: Halfling (Ghostwise) Class: Druid (Circle of Dreams) / Cleric (Life) Connection to Sybil: Silverfair is one of the many towns that Fauna has passed through during her travels. As a wandering medic of sorts, she tended to the wounds of Sybil after a particularly gruesome encounter with one of the many stray undead that seem to be growing in number near the town. She would have gotten word that her healing abilities might be needed and so she’s made her way back to Silverfair to lend her aid. Backstory: (Sorry it's a bit long! I might have got carried away)
Fauna hails from a druidic tribe that worships Amah and keeps to the depths of their homeland forest that might have particular ties to the Feywild (or any similar plane in this setting), or where the boundary between the planes are thin.
As a child, Fauna would constantly wander off into the forests surrounding her village unsupervised, intrigued by the natural world around her and wanting to get closer to the flora and wildlife. One day, when she had snuck deep into the woods, she found herself crossed over into the Feywild, pulled through by mischievous fey when the boundaries briefly melded. The fey weren't malicious and only wanted to play with her, and to a child's mind it was harmless fun.
This gave her a glance at animals and plants that she'd never seen before and would spark an innate curiosity, a longing to discover more of the natural life beyond just her village as she grew older. When the fey finally let her leave and return home, to her no more than a day of fun had passed, when in reality she had been missing for over a year.
After that encounter, she'd noticed a particular change. She would start to catch glimpses of the Feywild in the most mundane places, be it around her village, in the reflections of water, or over the shoulders of other tribe members, though no one else seemed to notice the things she was seeing. When she slept, her dreams would be filled with mystical, otherworldly beings and whimsical sensations. This incited her to begin a journal where she would draw, albeit crudely as a child, the creatures and wildlife that she saw in her dreams. She kept this journal close and used it to document the local plants and animals around her village as she aged. She grew into a caretaker and herbalist, tending to people and animals alike.
Over time, the odd dreams and occurrences she could vividly see as a child began to fade, and she ultimately ended up forgetting her initial encounter with the fey as a child altogether. What were once vividly bright and colorful dreams, began to dissolve into dreamless and sometimes sleepless nights. On the rare occurrences where she did dream, they would only be intangible flashes of images and emotions that would leave her with a sense of nostalgia whenever she woke, though she was always unsure of why.
Eventually, she started running out of new things to draw in her journal as she'd already discovered all that there was to be seen around her village. Sometimes she'd flip back to the beginning pages of her journal to look at the messy sketches she'd done as a child, unsure of where she'd seen such things or why, though the feelings of nostalgia would always come flooding back to her, similarly to when she would dream. She began to long to see the outside world, to discover and document more plants and animals, and to possibly find the mysterious, unknown creatures in her journal that her child-self had drawn.
As her yearning and curiosity grew, so too did the emotions in her dreams. What were once seemingly peaceful dreams, albeit void, became increasingly violent with each passing season. Instead of being left with a sense of nostalgia upon waking, she would wake with a start, sometimes covered in sweat or with her heart racing. Many times she would awake screaming from unbeknownst terrors that she could never quite recall, as her dreams were always muddied and never clear enough to remember. But the emotions were always very raw and quite real enough to linger, eventually causing her to begin losing sleep and suffer from many sleepless nights as an attempt to avoid the dreams altogether. As time passed she slowly adapted to the gamble that was sleep—would it be a night of peaceful longing or insidious terror?
Unbeknownst to her, this was Amah, the chosen deity of her village, attempting to convey the threat of the undead masses on the horizon. Fauna took to the village oracle for guidance, only for her to confirm that these were bad omens, predicting a calamity to come. Now knowing of the impending threat to her homeland, though still unsure why Amah chose to send the warnings to her of all people, Fauna decided to set out into the world, journal in hand, guided by curiosity and faith.
She now wanders the region of Evanicea, taking in the scenery as she travels. Never in a hurry, she frequently stops to scribble in her journal all the new wildlife and flora that are new to her. She takes up minor jobs here and there to aid ailing townsfolk. Though she can not dream herself, she is able to harness and instill a type of warmth and comfort to others, filling their minds with pleasant dreams to hasten the healing process. This always leaves her with an odd sense of nostalgia that she can never quite place, but she has taken to healing and aiding others as second nature. Throughout her travels she seems to have come across an increasing number of injuries as the result of undead attacks. Fauna can’t help but wonder—does this have any correlation to what Amah was trying to warn her about?
Name - Rissa Crest Race - Variant human Class - Monk (open hand) Connection to Sybil - Sybil is an old friend of the leader of Rissa's order. He requested that she send whatever help she could, and Rissa was chosen for the job. Backstory, Character Motivation, or Roleplay Excerpt -
At an early age, Rissa was sent to live with the Radiant Hand, an all-female order of monks that worshipped Maliel. She grew up among a dozen or so other initiates, and was put through rigorous schooling and martial arts training. While she wasn't the most scholarly of the bunch, Rissa excelled in combat, quickly picking up on new techniques and moves. By the time she reached adulthood, only three initiates remained, the others either leaving of their own volition or being sent home after repeated failure. She made it through her final exams, passing the practical with flying colors and scraping by on the written, and finally was inducted into the order.
Rissa spent the next several years as a full-fledged member of the Radiant Hand. She worked to perfect her skills, taught classes to the new initiates, and began learning the ways of magic, drawing power from Maliel. But to her, the most exciting part was when she was sent out on missions. The order was often called on to help protect the neighboring cities, and due to her martial prowess, Rissa was a frequent candidate for such jobs. The most recent of these brought her to Silverfair, summoned by an old friend of her leader. Resources were stretched a bit thin at the moment, so she was sent alone, and she could only hope that her help would be enough.

How do you feel about homebrewed subclasses? Got an itch for a frost-flavored Paladin that I need to scratch.
I think that answers that question perfectly.
Are you okay with Tasha’s for the origins and class options?

Yep, Tasha's is good for this campaign.
