Ednyss roars at the two hooligans as they finish sweeping up the gold and resist his spell. Ednyss glances past the fray to see the other Shian making a run for the exit, and mutters, "Oh no you don't!" His eyes flash with the same divine spark as he shouts the word, "Approach!" The sound pierces the ruckus and enters the ears of the Shian woman as she feels a compulsion to return back to Ednyss. Meanwhile, Ednyss waves his other hand in a small circle to transmute some of his divine power into a more applicable form. As the other two Shian's throw hands against Ednyss, Ednyss's instincts from his time serving in the army kick in and he ducks the first blow, and sidesteps the other. Shaking his head at the Shian's he says, "This is your last chance to stop before things get ugly."
Action: Cast Command (Against Shian woman running away (12-3)) DC 15 Wisdom Save - On a failure, target spends their next turn moving as close to Ednyss as possible and then stopping (No official ruling on this; but I believe the target must use their action to dash if they cannot make it within 5 feet with their movement)
Bonus Action: Harness Divine Power (Convert Channel Divinity into a Level 1 Spell Slot)
Ednyss 13. Casts command at the Shian card-shark (12-3) who ran away with the bag of gold. She stops in her tracks and returns to Ednyss’ table, her muscles oblivious to her desire to flee, eyes wide. Ednyss’ intimidation works on one of the Shians, (12-1), who turns to run, but first grabs the bag of gold from the Shian woman who just returned, and runs the direction she just came but only makes it to S12 before he trips and falls (see below). The other Shian man (12-2) punches Ednyss and hits for 3HP, and shouts back at him, “Back off, DWARF.”
Dolkum 6. The stein sails through the air, a waitress in its path ducks out of the way, and the heavy mug thunks into the skull of the Dwarf Who Fell, just as he is standing up again to grab at Mittens. The hooligan sees stars and blacks out, flopping to the ground.
Mittens 6. ...walks Andriy (4-3) over to the door. The Shian hooligan under Mittens’ spell has no enemies near him, so like a zombie, he walks behind the bar toward the hooligans back there. Meanwhile, Mittens’ frostbite takes effect and its object, B4-who happens to be a Cat, fails her save, takes damage, and cringes in terror.
Varielky 5... can’t get to the baby’s mother. A cavalryman is in the way at L6, and also the Expatriate at J5. But Varielky's next to the grandmother of the family, who is sitting in her seat and takes the infant from her, much to the mother's relief.
Everyone else:
Just then, the Cavalryman(15-2) is punched and falls back toward the table in front of Varielky.
The Expatriate(14-1) moves up and the Cavalryman punches him back, and Varielky has to back away a couple of feet from the table.
That’s when the other baby (2a) a toddler, pulls herself onto the table while her father, who’d had her in his lap, falls backwards as both the first mom (2-7), and now the dad (2-1), are shoved back by the fisticuffs in front of them. The toddler is crying and looks like she’s going to fall off of the table.
Meanwhile, the mean Khazaran Dad (11-1) from table 11 is sacked by 3 rough teens (3-1,-2,-3) from table 3 and he is slammed back onto table 2, breaking one table leg so that the toddler on the far end of the table is lifted up and is now in imminent danger of falling into the pile-on. The other table 2 folks were shoved out of the way and don’t see the toddler, including the granny, who is on her feet holding the baby (2b).
The Cat woman behind the bar (B4), frostbitten, shivering and terrified, her lips blue and her fingers chilled and useless, makes a run for it, past the charmed zombie Shian (B6), who (reaction: opportunity attack) robotically extends his arm. The Cat crashes into it and falls hard on her back. She is out cold.
An Orracan hooligan standing on the Bar (B1) notices the crown of madness and throws a pewter serving tray at the charmed Shian (B6) but misses, and it hits the back of the bar, shattering bottles, while B2, an Orracan woman, leaps onto the charmed Shian (B6) and crashes him against the wall for 3HP. They each take 2HP from the broken bottles, just as he (B6) throws off Mittens’ spell and the charm disappears. He is still up and glares at Mittens murderously.
A male chimp hooligan, now behind the bar (B3), knocks out the waiter who’s there defending the till (W4) and the chimp begins to grab the coins.
The Shian (12-1) now running with Ednyss’ money bag suddenly trips and falls as the two guys on a date (table 7) wink at each other—one of them tripped the hooligan surreptitiously—and the money bag flies, and lands with a thump on Table 10. One of the innworkers (10-4) opens it, astonished to see gold, but his joy doesn’t last for long. One of the mean teens (9-3) saw the whole thing -- including the gold -- and jumps to Table 10, grabs the bag, and punches the astonished innworker, who backpedals blindly, his nose broken, and falls on top of Mittens, who falls harmlessly over the kid—protecting him by reaching backwards and stopping himself by pushing against the wall behind him. Mittens is now kind of smushed between the astonished guy and the wall, and standing over the obliviously delighted boy, who’s now sitting on his haunches facing the wall, keeping up both sides of an animated dialog with Pooky.
Pinned against the wall, Mittens rational reasoning disappears as his claustrophobia surges to the forefront of his mind. As his primal fear takes over, he attempts to free.himself from his confines, his breath coming out in short, ragged gasps. If he gets out, he snags Andriy and drags him out to table 16 saying shakily, "Come this way..."

Seeing the bag of gold just get progressively farther away from him, and noticing another chimp hooligan stealing from behind the bar. Shouting to Dolkum, who is already behind the bar he says, "Don't let that chimp get away!" He also notices Varielky and Mittens getting the children out, so grabbing his shield, Ednyss says, "I warned you!" and throws a brutal pair of haymakers at the man who punched him before chasing after the youth who has the bag of money. Shouting out he says furiously, "Thief! Stop him!" Hoping to catch the attention of anyone nearer to the teenager that may be able to stop him.
Ednyss 13...punches the Shian hooligan next to him (12-2) for 3HP damage, then bolts after the mean teen. The Shian (12-2) takes an opportunity attack, turning while picking up a chair and trying to trip Ednyss, who takes 2HP damage but keeps running as far as O9. The people at Table 6 and 10 -- inn workers and dwarf travelers -- hear Ednyss’ shout, and block the way of the mean teen.
Mittens 6 ...pulls himself out from under the inn worker and pulls Andriy to the door, opening it and stepping outside. But Andriy stops at the door and chimes over his shoulder, “Daddy, this is Pooky!” and then stops stock still and turns in place. He sees his dad (an older Orracan) trapped under a pair of wrestling brawlers and his jaw drops and he starts bouncing on his toes anxiously. “Daddy!” His mother (step-mother, actually), a dwarf woman, has extricated herself from the brawl and arrives at your side at that moment, saying, “Daddy will be okay Andriy, he’s just exercising. Let’s go look at the ocean!” She mouths ‘thank you!’ to Mittens.
Dolkum 6. Jumps athletically atop the bar, and then tackles the Orracan woman and the beefy Shian under her. The hooligan is flattened atop the broken bottles, loses consciousness, and a pool of blood is forming under him. The woman takes another 2HP and is looking pale.
Varielky 5...catches the toddler and hands her off to the grandmother, who backs up to the wall with both kids.
People
The two babies are with their grandmother next to the wall.
The mean Khazaran dad (11-2) is knocked out and flops off of the table 2.
The card sharks (12-2) and (12-3) jump after Ednyss and grapple him unless he rolls STR save of 18 or higher he can’t move.
The kid with the money bag (9-3) is surrounded by dwarves and inn workers, but his friends come to help him as the Table 3 ruffians pull back together, and the friends punch out a dwarf and an inn worker, and (9-3) jumps onto the table.
The Shian card shark who tripped (12-1) gets up, then leaps onto the table with the mean teen, punches him, and grabs the money bag again. One of the expatriates is punched out and flips through the North doors, landing on his back out cold. One of the farmers at table 5, where this all began, is knocked out, and the other three start to cool down.
Behind the bar, the chimp has finished collecting the till and piling it into a bag.
That’s when Mr. Bakkali (W1) comes out of the kitchen and sees the chaos. He yells something unintelligible at the hooligans. The man standing on the bar (B1) draws a knife and yells something back at him, then Bakkali pulls a very small lever next to the door -- upon which everyone feels a jolt of harmless static electricity -- and Bakkali then gestures to the hooligans to take what they want, and he backs up into the kitchen again.

Still shaking as his claustrophobia begins to fade, Mittens looks around the room, assessing what to do next. He sees the glimmer of light across a blade, and his attention is turned to the man holding it. He says, "Well, this escalated quickly," as he launches a shimmering green spear of venom at the weapon wielder.
Action: cast ray of sickness at B-1. Attack: 7 Damage: 11 points of poison damage. If it hits, he needs to make a DC 14 constitution saving throw or be poisoned. Note: Mittens isn't trying to deal lethal damage if possible. He's just trying to take out the biggest threats without killing them. Cantrips are great and all, but he thinks its better to take the threats out in one blow if possible instead of multiple blows. This way, he can limit how long they can be a threat.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Stay safe, this will surely get ugly." Varielky tells the grandma as she turns back to the chaos. "Now, who wants a goodnight kiss from my shield?"The closest people who seem to want trouble are near table 2, so that's where Varielky goes. When she gets there, she uppercuts the first rowdy, folled by a shield shove to knock another one prone.
All of Varielky's attacks are nonlethal, unless she lands a critical hit, in which case she fails to control her strength for that blow. She's still angry with the poisoning, even though she's not aware of how much she is so.
As the card sharks jump on top of Ednyss, Ednyss roars furiously and attempts to knock one out so that he can escape. Pulling his head back, he slams it forward into the card shark that he had already injured throwing another fist at his attackers as well. Glancing up, and seeing people attempt to stop the kid running with the money he is filled with resolve to stop these hooligans from causing anymore destruction.
Ednyss 13...Hits the Shian card shark (12-2) with his second blow, and the man rebounds, splayed out on the table next to him and losing his grip on Ednyss.
Mittens 6...Casts Ray of Sickness at the hooligan on the bar who just drew a knife (B-1). He rolls a 1 on his save, takes 6HP, and projectile vomits on the floor at K11 for his entire turn. He is poisoned and has dropped his knife.
Dolkum 6..charges through K11 while the puke is in slow-motion hanging above that spot, barely escaping that fate, and Dolkum successfully barrels into the chimp man (B3) who has just scooped the till’s gold into a sack and picked up the sick Orracan’s knife. The chimp takes 2HP damage slamming into the edge of the bar, twirling, and falls flat out prone on the cobblestones, but he somehow holds onto the gold and the knife.
Varielky 5..hits with both strikes, her uppercut to the Orracan ruffian (3-1) knocking him onto table 2, and he flips heel over head off of it onto the floor. Already having had too much to drink, he is KO’d. She drives his friend, a Shian ruffian, ferociously into a roof support immediately behind him, and Varielky hears a crunching sound as her shield breaks ribs. Breathless, his eyes roll up and he sinks down unconscious.
The two card sharks (12-1, 12-3) try to grab and punch Ednyss, pulling around his shoulders from above, but he’s too strong and they can’t hold him.
Around Varielky, an Orracan man (3-2) and a Shian chimp woman (3-5), both ruffians, try to grab her and get oh so close to critting...but they miss.
The Shian card shark who tripped (12-1) is boxing with the mean teen (9-3) atop table 10, neither can get the advantage. The other mean teens are being taught a lesson by the dwarven travellers at table 6.
The cavalrymen are gaining the advantage on the remaining expatriates.
(B3) The chimp with the till who Dolkum knocked prone, gets up, disengages, and runs for the door, making it to H6.The Orracan woman who Dolkum tackled, gets up, jumps over the bar, and also runs for the door. The vomiter on the bar (B1) slides off of it and likewise lurches for the door.
That is when behind the bar, where Mr. Bakkali pulled the little lever, a sliding stone panel grinds upwards and closes. Another small stone panel slides downwards, revealing a single large red gem on the doorpost. When revealed, it begins to shine, and it emits what looks like an illusion, not unlike Mittens: A large face, perhaps 3’ from chin to brow. It is made up of tiny white dots, like a 3-D rendering, and its eyes open and then blink once. “Well come to thee to Bakkali’s home tavern,” it says, in a voice which sounds Dwarven -- like stone against stone -- but not unfriendly. It’s also not loud, and most of the combatants do not hear it. “Merry, do prepare thyself for a nap, perhaps by finding a seat. We’ll awaken thee when ‘tis proper time.”
The floor then gets strange. The entire floor seems to be...sticky? Somehow movement upon it is at 1/2 speed starting in Round 6.
The chains holding the outer doors open have suddenly released their hold -- Mittens notices --, and the heavy doors, of their own accord seemingly, slowly close. They -- both pairs -- shut just as the chimp with the till reaches the pair closer to him. He bangs on them with the pommel of his knife.
Hearing the voice in the tavern, Ednyss suspects that some greater force is at play and that the fight may be ending soon. Deciding to preserve his strength, Ednyss pulls on one last bit of divine might to create a shielding for himself before setting himself in a defensive position. Seeing the doors slam shut, Ednyss is also relieved to think that the thieves won't be able to escape and resigns himself to just defending himself until this greater power manages to end this fight. In case the power can hear them and hadn't noticed the thieves, Ednyss calls out to the illusion, "As I'm sure you are aware, there are at least two thieves here. I ask that you please return the stolen property to its rightful owner."

(OOC: Would Battle Master manoeuvres work with the improvised weapon - being the shield? If not, ignore the reaction attack.)
Varielky dodges one attack, but is too slow to dodge the second. Instead, she blocks it with her shield. Before the ruffian even has time to pull his hand back, Varielky returns a blow with her shield, below his extended arm.
After that, she uses the momentum from pushing the Orracan for a sharp turn toward the woman, headbutting her, followed by a shield shove. Too preoccupied with the fight, Varielky notices the changes in the room but doesn't pay attention ro them too much.
Reaction (ignore if not valid): Riposte manoeuvre on the Orracan man. Attack: 4 Damage: 9 (I hope I did it right, I'm not used to improvised weapons.)
Action: Unarmed Attack on the Shian woman: 21 Damage: 3
When the illusion appears, Mittens mutters, "Well, that sounds pleasant..." as he gestures towards the chimp. Spectral jaws appear and clamp down upon her, pumping freezing energy through her.
I’m posting now while I can. Dolkum can take his round 5 & 6 actions next post.
Round 6 Results
Ednyss 13...is now surrounded by divine shielding. His Insight tells him that the starry head is not merely an illusion, for the illusion is inhabited by a consciousness of some kind. This reminds him of something...he just can’t remember what. He will have to concentrate to be able to remember, and it may not be that important. Or it might.
Mittens 6, using his boots of leaping jumps to the end of the bar and casts frostbite on the chimp with the money bag from the till (B3) who suffers 2HP cold damage, recoiling from the attack from a new assailant, with the ironic effect that he’s now starting to lose his cool.
Dolkum 6… TBD
Varielky 5...misses with her riposte (OOC: I’m bending the rules a bit for flavor. Yes for battlemaster maneuvers in the context of a brawl, if I have introduced it as a brawl. Your roll was just too low to hit, so has no effect.) Varielky hits, however, with both her unarmed attack and her shield bash, knocking the woman prone over a chair. The woman tries to stand up again but can’t: the floor is too ‘sticky.’
Everyone else.
Ednyss sees several of the Dwarves from Table 6, eyes wide open, struggling to move to a spot next to the bar. They yell to Ednyss in Dwarvish, “Hey you! Come here, before he sees you!” and try to squat in front of the bar, hidden from the view of the starry head. Dolkum hears this too, and it’s happening right in front of Mittens. Varielky roll perception DC15 to absorb this.
The starry head, which you may notice bears some resemblance, in a marble bust kind of way, to the proprietor, Mr. Bakkali, turns directly to the robber (B3) and her companion (B1), and a puff of vapor streams from its mouth toward them. They both fall asleep before they enter the hallway, as do the two expatriates near them and the cavalrymen. Then, the face says “D’nay be afeared, Queen’sright, soon ‘twill all be sorted ou…” but the voice stops mid-sentence, the illusion flickers off, the light in the gem dims, the floor is no longer ‘sticky,’ and both sets of heavy doors unlock and budge open an inch, then stop. The brawlers on the dance floor and elsewhere, who had taken notice briefly and paused for a moment, snort derisively and continue fighting.
The ruffian with the gold from the till (B3) awakens, and redoubles his efforts to open the doors, gets an arm outside for leverage, and his friend (B1) also now up again, helps. The doors move another couple of inches but they still can’t get out so they keep trying.
The Dwarves near the bar look relieved, and start to stand up again and move toward the door.
Fisticuffs continue on Table 10, and on the dance floor. Everyone else is still backing away from the bar, standing against the walls, or trying to sidle over to the doors. They’re whispering among themselves, “Let’s get out of here while we can,” and “Last time I come here,” or “what a birthday! What even was that face?! And the queen statue thingie?!” or “Another robbery -- or attempted robbery -- whatever. Where are the constables? They’re never around anymore.”

Round 6 - Dolkum sees the chimps with the gold heading for the door and starts after them in hot persuit, quite surprised at how slow everyone is moving suddenly

Perception: 20
Varielky doesn't notice the dwarves but does notice the face disappearing and the floor becoming 'unsticky'. She can't help but smirk, it means fighting continues as normal.
Varielky turns to the man once again, followed by a sharp kick to his side and then, from the opposite side, a shield bash to knock him down. It's funny some people only fight with their fists, the gods blessed everyone with so many bodyparts. Even if those can't wield a sword, they can still do some damage on their own.
Ednyss roars at the two hooligans as they finish sweeping up the gold and resist his spell. Ednyss glances past the fray to see the other Shian making a run for the exit, and mutters, "Oh no you don't!" His eyes flash with the same divine spark as he shouts the word, "Approach!" Still shaking as his claustrophobia begins to fade, Mittens looks around the room, assessing what to do next.

"Stay safe, this will surely get ugly." Varielky tells the grandma as she turns back to the chaos. "Now, who wants a goodnight kiss from my shield?" The closest people who seem to want trouble are near table 2, so that's where Varielky goes. When she gets there, she uppercuts the first rowdy, folled by a shield shove to knock another one prone.

Action: Attack (Unarmed Strike)
(Against 12-2) Attack: 8 Damage: 3
Bonus Action: War Priest (Unarmed Strike)
(Against 12-2; Unless first strike knocked him out in which case it is against 12-3) Attack: 21 Damage: 3
Move: If somehow both attackers are unconscious, 25 feet towards the mean teen (9-3); Otherwise, none

Round 5 Results

Bonus Action: Cast Shield of Faith on Self (AC: 20)
Action: Dodge
Move: None
Free Action: Talking

When the illusion appears, Mittens mutters, "Well, that sounds pleasant..." as he gestures towards the chimp. Spectral jaws appear and clamp down upon her, pumping freezing energy through her.
Action: cast frostbite on B6.
Movement: move to the closest table. I'm not sure if I can move two or three squares when slowed.

You’re now situated like this.
