The next match will feature any interested level-7 competitors. The match will begin in roughly 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
As the sun continues its slow ascent in the heavens above Seleman, Arena Shapers and Constructs show no signs of stopping in making sure the next arena is up and ready for the next wave of competitors. For no matter how messy the work was, they would see the bog filled and set right proper!
To win: 2... Control Points - Four flags in the arena can be captured at the start of Round 3 by beginning and ending a turn within 10 feet. Control all four, or control more than your opponents for five rounds.
The conditions: 3... Fornoon - The birds are singing. The Bees are humming. And the crowd's are yet hungry for some more combat! No penalties.
The Map: 8.... The Bog - An overgrown bog with a slow stale river cutting through the center. Wooden bridges cross hear and there. Untamed shrubs on the islands block sight of many areas. The river is deep, if not at a bridge, one could still swim across.
(A DC 13 Athletics check is needed to climb out onto a bridge rather than swim to shore. Passing through the shrubs in any direction is difficult terrain costing an extra 5 feet of movement. The hedges heavily obscure anything beyond them. A creature may attack through the shrubs, but this will grant the target a bonus of 2 to AC.)
To enter please roll initiative, choose a starting position in Row 1(include alternate position for Row 16).
You will have 1 round to prepare before the match. Everyone starts with a normal healing potion.
(S/N: If there are any questions, feel free to include them at the bottom of your initiative post. Everyone will be later added to a general group PM for ease of communication.)

The ever-reticent warforged's maroon cloak swirls behind Chronolo as it steps into the arena, intent on prolonging its current winning streak. Crackles of arcane energy follow a muttered, mechanical incantation as Chronolo's form, once again, splits into four.
Fenkas steps into the arena after much consideration, and as he does, his body quickly begins to vibrate. Only this time, he is vibrating at a nearly impossible speed due to his newfound boots. As he steps into the arena, he begins to hum his tune and gives a nod to the warforged before disappearing into the shadows of the wall. Strangely, there is no owl flying in the air for this fight, as Fenkas seems to be trying a different strategy regarding the companion that he brings into the arena.
That Week/Day: Fenkas will recast Find Familiar after the most recent fight, but will summon Stickilus instead of Syldorn Fenkas will cast Mage Armor on himself and Stickilus and then take a Short Rest and use Arcane Recovery to restore the two spell slots.

Darius rolled his neck as he took up a position just outside the arena. He couldn't help but smirk... he had a couple of new maneuvers he was ready to try out.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the contestants enter the arena finishing various preparations, Marmaduke once again flies out to an already excited crowd to announce with a booming voice. "Ladies, Gentlemen, and All things in-between or beyond! Welcome to the Coliseum!" The crowd roar and cheers for a moment. "Today is the day we see if the reigning champion deserves to hold her spot, or if new potentials might rise to the top! Isn't that exciting? Hah! But before that, allow me to introduce today's contenders, and cream of the crop!"
And whether this one is a happy accident or a contender for the seat of "Time Lord" may perhaps be answered today! Until then, a round of applause for Chronolo, Warlord of Time!" A warforged in a maroon cowl stands at the ready subsumed in magic of a temporal nature, and bearing an enchanted book. A mechanical appearing owl flutters next to them.
"From the distant seas seeking gold, renown, and new challenges is none other than Darius the Dreaded!" A dark-haired human man wielding a pair of rapier, enchanted boots, and bearing the firm footing of a seaman ready for battle.
"Carrying on the growing tradition of combine blade and elven song in the arena. Or in this case, a WHIP! Is none other than Fenkas the Fantastical!" A half-wood elf man with a whip at his hip and an Octopus riding shotgun on his back. The bladesinger, already enhanced with a bit of magic from earlier, further bolsters his agility twice over by spell and "song", before then using some of it immediately hide his and Stickilus presence.
"And finally to help round out this cast of colorful competitors, say hello to Iwanki, retired guard captain and battlemaster extraordinaire!"A dark skinned women covered in head to toe in armor, and bearing heavy crossbow in hand, and several nets on her person alongside other gear just as enchanted as the strange film of oil cover her.

Darius stepped into the arena, and immediately grimaced. There were barely any trees around, just lots of shrubs, all on a murky terrain. Not exactly the ideal battleground against magic users. Quickly deciding on a course of action, a splash sounded as he promptly dove into the stale river.
MOVE: To N-2, using 5 ft. of movement from O-1 to dive into the river
(( Rest of movement and actions sent to DM. Stealth roll if needed: 18 ))
Fenkas pauses for a second and takes a deep breath. As he exhales, he clicks the heels of his boots together and feels time slow around him. A rush of exhilaration flows through Fenkas as strength and speed that he had flowing through his veins. He watches as Darius runs out into the arena in slow motion and he grins. As he runs out the half-elf frowns when he sees his partner walk in front of him and jump into the river. Running to the river and calling into the water Fenkas says, "Oye! Smart guy. There is a bridge over there." Shaking his head, the bladesinger books it straight to the opposite side. In a similar style as before, Fenkas blasts through the bushes until he reaches his opponent's side. Once he is there, Fenkas takes a bow before sending three magical darts flying into the air. Two of them swirl for a second before darting towards Iwanki, while the last one fires towards the drone unerringly. "Hah! Now you know how I feel!" The bladesinger taunt's the warforged. Balancing on the wall, Fenkas leaps into the air with the assistance of his new strength and does a double backflip landing on the wall easily. Giving Chronolo a wink, the rogue says, "Don't feel discouraged. I'm sure you'll be able to catch me one day. Just not today." Confident that he had broken the other wizard's spirit Fenkas does another flip off the wall before calling out to his teammate, "If we lose this, then you owe me a drink!" That was sure to motivate the pirate, Fenkas thought. Now safely out of sight, Fenkas runs back to his own side of the battlefield before finding a comfortable place to slip into the shadows.
Bonus Action: Activate Boots of Speed (Movement Speed: 220 Feet)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Darius goes to take a swim, intending to use the brackish water to his advantage in obscuring his position. But while it does -- could help in that regard, acting in haste, he swims on closer to the point.
Fenkas, however, is far more aggressive, and is soon well across the field having abandoned initial attempts to hide to blast both familiar and warrior across the way. Then in absolutely dazzling display of acrobatics to both taunt and demoralize the living construct, he soon is away again, disappearing behind the brush.
The effect is... 3... Overwhelmed by the display of skill, Chronolo will be unable to muster a proper defense against Fenkas for a time. The next attack from Fenkas against Chronolo will have advantage. Effect lasts until the end of next round.
(@Team(2): Normally you can roll for free contested check vs Fenkas Stealth and Skill check, but both are higher than any ability to contest.)
(Additionally, following PM discussion, Darius had dashed to L4, and is 5ft below the surface of the water. Expect possible editting or post from RodtheBard confirming the change)
Chronolo calmly watched as Fenkas zoomed forth. His words seemed not to register until Fenkas mentioned how he felt - combined with his follow-up jab, Chronolo visibly paused, distracted by the thought of what it meant to 'feel'.
Regardless, the warforged then stepped over the marshland arena and pondered its next course of action. After settling on a decision, Chronolo sought cover behind a tree - certain ranged enemies could prove problematic. (I'm unsure if I'm reading the map correctly; Chronolo will position itself just over the tree near A14).
Robotic arms whirring a temporal glyph into the air, Chronolo readies one use of its Momentary Stasis, should Fenkas become visible to Chronolo!
When you reach 6th level, as an action, you can magically force a Large or smaller creature you can see within 60 feet of you to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. Unless the saving throw is a success, the creature is encased in a field of magical energy until the end of your next turn or until the creature takes any damage. While encased in this way, the creature is incapacitated and has a speed of 0.

Chronoloadvances further into field, still trying to process previous events, but otherwise preparing themself for what is to come next...
Iwanki practically raced onto the field with a scowl on her face, and would soon be taking out her aggression on Darius with a few shots; though only one bolt finds its target.
Movement: To 11M.
Action: Fire at Darius(with heavy crossbow). (Sharpshooter)#1 Shot - Attack: 17 Damage: 16 piercing damage. (Sharpshooter)#2 Shot - Attack: 20 Damage: 23 piercing damage. (Adding Precision Battle Maneuver to 2nd Shot for plus 6 to the 'to hit' roll)

Darius just barely managed to keep from roaring as the bolt struck. He'd hoped the dirty water would offer some degree of concealment, or at least protection... but he'd been mainly thinking of magical attacks. A simple bolt slipping through was something he should have thought of.
Still... from the angle it came from, he quickly decided his attacker was finally close enough to pursue. Swimming to the surface, then floating to be inches above the water, he looked and spotted his prey. With a malevolent grin, he flew toward Iwanki and proceeded to unleash a whirlwind of feints and attacks.
"Snipe ME, will you?!" he growled through the assault, using every tactic he knew to throw her off-balance. "Eat steel!"
(( Each hit will use the Trip Attack maneuver, requiring Iwanki to succeed on a DC 16 STR save or be knocked prone. Once she is prone, each following hit will use the Disarming Attack maneuver, requiring her to succeed on a DC 16 STR save or drop her crossbow. ))
MOVE: To surface of water at L-4 (5 ft. of movement) >>> To fly at water level (10 ft. movement) ACTION:Dash to L-10 SURGE: Attack twice * Wisdom Strike 1, Attack: 20, Magical Piercing Damage: 11 * Wisdom Strike 2, Attack: 13, Magical Piercing Damage: 15 BONUS: Duel-wielding attack * Mercy Strike, Attack: 20, Mundane Piercing Damage: 16 EXTRAS: Additional attack rolls if Iwanki goes prone and subsequent hits get to roll with advantage * Advantaged Wisdom Strike 2, Attack: 11 * Advantaged Mercy Strike, Attack: 23 REACTIONS: For DM
If (1) Iwanki moves out of range and provokes an Opportunity Attack, or (2) she misses with a melee attack, or (3) Cronolo moves into melee range (whichever happens first) then Darius will attack, expending another Superiority Die in situations 2 or 3 - * Wisdom Reaction Strike, Attack: 16, Magical Piercing Damage: 10
Darius, caring not one sliver for being sniped at, immediately broke for the surface, then took off to the air. But while the journey would yet require him to give it his all, in a surge of adrenaline, he batters away at the woman's defenses in a series complex maneuvers. But every bit the battlemaster as him however, she keeps her footing, and even partially turned aside his blade using her heavy crossbow at least once.
Reaction: Parry vs First Attack, reducing damage by 10.
Strength Save #1(DC 16): 8. Strength Save #2(DC 16): 12. Strength Save #3(DC 16): 26.
It is now Team(1)'s(Fenkas)Turn! Map Updated Here.
Fenkas listens patiently from his hiding spot, and upon not hearing any words or reaction from the spellcaster, immediately assumes the worst. Peeking through the bush, he can barely make out a few arcane sigils that Chronolo has traced out, and not recognizing them, the bladesinger decides to avoid them entirely. Contemplating what to do in the slowed motion around him, Fenkas also hears the loud swishing sound of two rapiers slicing through flesh. Poking his head out, he sees Iwanki nearly cut down by Darius in three fell swoops. Realizing that this is his opportunity to strike, Fenkas gives the other spellcaster a wide berth as he rushes back behind the wall and around his team's side of the field. Coming out on the other side, Fenkas blitzes his way up to Iwanki, sending 5 magical force darts (and a majority of the remainder of his wand) into the fighter to bring her consciousness to a quick demise. Rushing up and deciding to risk nothing, Fenkas bends down and sends his whip flying into the woman's unconscious form. He then reaches down and plucks the necklace of fiery red beads off of her neck and turns to Darius with an evil grin. Deciding to put some distance between himself and the warforged again, in case the warforged tries any shenanigans, and fully comfortable that he will be able to return to melee with the wizard if needed, Fenkas sprints all the way back to his team's side of the field, and hunkers down on his side of the wall.
Fenkas takes but a moment, but a moment is all he needs to consider the best course of action. Namely involving racing the long way around the field just to get into position to unload another larger barrage of magical darts Iwanki's way, downing her, before getting in close to try and finish the job. Unfortunately, between the muck distorting weak points and heavy armor, the whip cracks harmlessly against the armor. With a final word to Darius to grab and probably finish the job, he then speeds off once more.
Sensing the battle rapidly shift against Chronolo's favor given how quickly Iwanki fell, the Warforged recalculates its plan of action. With Fenkas out of sight once more, Chronolo decides to draw on the knowledge each contestant walked into the arena with a certain vial of healing - and when the minds of men are as malleable as they are, Chronolo attempts to perhaps prolong Iwanki's elimination - or, at the very least, buy the Warforged the very thing it specialized in; a little more time.
Movement: To C14. Action: Whirring, neon-blue energy bursts from the gaps in Chronolo's integrated armor as the Warforged extends a mechanical hand towards Darius, seeking to overwhelm the fighter's mind as Chronolo mimics the gesture of imbuing a healing potion before pointing towards Iwanki, uttering a single command - "Administer." DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or spend an action to follow the command as ruled by the DM. Movement: With its spell complete, the Warforged calmly turns and returns behind some semblance of cover. (D16 or E16 if I'm reading movement tiles correctly.)
(Nothing will prevent me from engaging in my right to forestall the inevitable.)
Mid-incantation, Chronolo senses the fighter slip from the incantation's grasp - with a slight twist of its metallic wrist, Chronolo apparently dials back time enough so Darius must resist the spell again (1/2 use of Chronal Shift to force Darius to reroll the save; the Reaction would have occurred while Chronolo still had line of sight with Darius.)

Chronolo advances further into field, still trying to process previous events, but otherwise preparing themself for what is to come next...
(@Fenkas: Damage corrected. Thank ye.)

Small Update Since it may affect Fenkas Actions:

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”

(( Well, a save here might rescue our poor DM from having to make that call... Darius' WIS Save: 3 ))

(( Not even knowing he'd been rewound, Darius again fought off the mental attack... WIS Save: 15 ))
