Danse's usual grin shone on his tattooed features as he strode in the direction Silas pointed. Blue cowl fluttering around his heels with his pace, Danse couldn't quell the feeling of burning vengeance sear through his veins. The prospect of slaying Yargin imbued him with vindictive anger channeled into sheer determination. Danse let five gold slip into the hands of Silas - both as payment for the information and as reinforcement for Danse's promises.
"I recommend speaking with the captain. If he collaborated with Yargin, he is as guilty as Yargin himself - we slay him as well." Danse whispered a word under his breath - his cloak seemed to whip more quickly around his shoulders as his agility improved (mage armor).
Moroza, for her part, is ordered to take a wide sweep around the ship for a bird's eye scout of what is visible. Perception (let me know if something else/different needs to be rolled): 14
Action#2: Wishing to prove or find the source of his 'spidey-tingle', Kaisaras nudged Arcadia with his elbow and motioned with his chin towards the man 50ft away, "Noticed a few others like him. Gonna go ask him a few light questions, cover me." He'd then begin to make his way through the crowd, following up the steps after the man to speak with him.
”No problem, let’s go talk to him. I’m going to ask nicely once and if it doesn’t work we cut them down. We’ll have to be quick in case your guy isn’t already on it.”
Fargrim approached the person who looked like the captain: “Hey buddy, lemme talk to you for a minute. I’ll be honest with you, I was going to try to buddy up with you and pretend I didn’t know why you’re here to see if our quarry was already on board. I see you’re too smart for that and I respect that. So, here’s what’s going to happen. First, you’re gonna tell me if he’s here yet. Then we’re gonna kill him. I’m happy to kill you too or you can convince my friend that you didn’t know what you were doing and maybe get away with your life.” Intimidation 10
Radgar approaches the figure on the throne reverently, head bowed slightly, hammer lowered. The armor was remarkable, he'd never seen it's equal, but it was the light that drew him in, pulled him, called to him.
As he approached the throne, the burly dwarf dropped to his knees, planting his hammer on the floor in front of him, resting both of his armored gauntlets across the top of the haft. He kept his head bowed and waited for the seated figure to speak.
Action #2: After no one moved for a moment, Headmaster Toryr added,"Don't be shy, nothing will bite you in there. Probably..." Kurstin laughed and reached inside the box, drawing out a ceramic tile with an ornate 5 carved in it and painted a bright red. "Lucky me!" he says...
Action #3: Kurstin was excited for the day's events, but also anxious about his sister and the other Lambs out there. He was hoping to find a way to get them off of the street and safe...but he also knew that he needed to keep his head in the game if he was going to be any help at all! So the artificer took a deep breath and mingled with the elves nearest his area, asking about them, their homes, their customs, and so on. It was obvious he was genuinely interested in them and not just trying to gain some inside advantage to win.
Danse had unusually large crowds this week as the the city welcomed an influx of guest due to the Magical Games. (with a Crit earning Danse: 5gp, 12sp, 31cp!)
Danse& Fargrim:
The two sailors - a man and a woman - on the boat looked at Fargrim in confusion before the woman spoke up. "If ya lookin' for tha Captain, he ain't here yet. Don't know wha he did this time but leave us out of it. We want no part of it." Her companion nodded along in agreement. "If ya wait a bit, he'll eventually show up and he can pay ya off or whatever alright?" The woman grumbled quietly to herself about how she had the lousiest luck as she began to move off to continue moving boxes onto and around the ship.
Kaisaras:
Though not quite understanding what he meant, Arcadia nevertheless gave him a nod and replied, "Just don't do anything stupid alright?" before following behind her brother at a short distance.
Kaisaras was able to catch up to the man in question easily enough, finding the nondescript middle-aged man as he about to turn into a one of the stadium rows. "Huh, oh, ah yes. Is everything alright?"...
Kurstin:
Action #1
In a tiny puff of smoke, a small hedge sprouted out of the top of the tile. Peering closely, it looked as if there were even smaller shapes moving about in and around the hedge. Lifting his head to look around, Kurstin saw that each of the other students there similarly looking at their now "activated" tiles in a mixture of excitement and confusion. Some had coins that had suddenly began spouting water while others had coins that projected a miniaturized fireworks display that hovered above it.
Action #2
(Sorry ran out of time tonight but will update this section tomorrow!)
Radgar:
The armored figure did not remotely stir or register Radgar's approach, continuing to tap their foot lightly on the ground. Having approached closer to them though, Radgar was able to barely overhear the figure say in a muffled voice, "I must protect it..." over and over again. He was also able to determine that the bar of light on the figure's lap, however impossible it may have seemed, was actually the blade of some sort of sword. He could just barely see sword hilt's outline through the blinding light.

Fargrim studies the two workers. "How's about I give you each 20gp and you clock out early and get out of here right now? I'll take over for you and wait on the Captain."
Assuming that they take his offer, Fargrim will do a search of the boat to make sure that Yargin isn't already onboard. Investigation with Tactical Assessment maneuver 55
Offering the middle-aged man a polite smile, Kaisaras nodded towards him and spoke with a calm tone, "Hello, apologies but we've received a report that a man matching your description had stolen some merchandise from a nearby booth. Would you mind being subjected to a quick search just over here to the side?" He wanted to get the man, if he was a danger, away from the crowd of people and into a place that Kaisaras would more easily be able to control the situation, away from prying eyes.

Radgar Wisdom save 22
The light came from the blade. No, the blade was the light? It was hard to tell where one started and the other stopped. This was a weapon beyond a mere smith's understanding, the kind of thing sung of in kings halls, stories passed down until they became legends.
Tentatively, the cleric spoke up, keeping his head down and eyes averted. 'What needs' protecting? And what could possibly threaten one such as you?'
The woman looked at Fargrim flatly for a moment before unceremoniously dropping the box she was carrying to the deck and turning towards her partner. "Marco, we're leaving." Stepping forward to grab the money offered, snatched the coins quickly from Fargrim's hands before saying, "Thank you for tha quick business. An I hope ya don't take this tha wrong way, but I hope ta neva see either of you again!" Turning and quickly walking down the gangplank, Marco a bit nervously on her heels, the two sailors made their exit from the ship and quickly disappeared from sight
Action #2
After a quick "search" of the ship - which wasn't much more than tossing around a couple boxes in the cargo hold and quickly poking his head inside of the few cabins below deck, Fargrim was able to come to the conclusion that he and Danse were indeed the only people onboard the ship for the time being...
Kaisaras:
"M-me? Steal something? I'd never do something like that." the man replied, a bit surprised at first by the accusation. "If this will clear things up quickly so I don't miss the start of the Games, I'll gladly follow you. Lead the way."
If you decide to check him, I'll need a Sleight of Hand Check

Action #2
The elves were friendly and polite, though rather formal at first, and shared a bit about their home halfway across the continent. They were all shockingly old - the youngest being "only" sixty-three - and confirmed that they did live in forest cities. Though these cities, which they casually mentioned, were filled with buildings made of glass-like spires crafted from the essence of magic and creation itself. Yet to them, they found nothing unusual about them and were much more fascinated by the "Outside World" outside their small elven realm.
After a bit of chatter, one of the male elves - though with their similar and beautiful alien features, it was a bit difficult to tell at times - leaned in conspiratorially and asked Kurstin in a soft voice, "We were not given any details, but rumor has it that your King was recently murdered by an ancient city curse that also set the city ablaze for days. Is that true...?" The small group of elves around Kurstin leaned in closer to him and waited for the answer with anticipation...
Radgar:
Though he wasn't looking at the figure, Radgar could tell that the knight had finally noticed his presence when the metronome-like tapping of the figure's armored boot finally ceased. Looking up from his kneeled position, he could see the armored face staring down at him. "Another one... So you've come for the same reason as the others... Tell me, is your cause the same as theirs?"...
Make another Wisdom Save for me as well please... And this time, add a perception check as well...
Kurstin considered his response to the elf, for a moment before replying, "Well, the King did die recently, although I have heard nothing of suspected murder! It is unfortunate that some people took this period of uncertainty and turmoil to destroy the property of others and steal what did not belong to them. Luckily for the city, our well-trained and professional city guard quickly restored law and order while our strong and true regiments ensured no outside threat harmed us either. As for a curse, I can neither confirm nor deny the reason why our monarchs seem to die with regularity..."
"Thank you, this shouldn't take long." Kaisaras would then lead the man down the steps to a spot away from the crowd. After making sure that Arcadia was indeed still trailing behind, he'd stop the man and begin his search, "Arms out please." Sleight of Hand: 17
As Kaisaras is searching the man, he'd speak up in a light tone, "So I take it you're looking forward to the games, come with any family or friends? Maybe looking forward to someone you know taking to the stage?"
Upon Fargrim's attempts at intimidation, Danse placed a hand on each scimitar with his brows raised in amusement. If either of the two, indeed, had any intentions of aiding Yargin, Danse wouldn't hesitate for a moment to spill their blood into the water below. He watched them with a cool eye as they wandered away before he pursed his lips in a whistle. Anyone watching Moroza could swear the snowy owl rolled her eyes before trailing the two from a distance.
Forgoing the opportunity to investigate the ship and some of the boxes beneath, Danse instead mutters a song-like incantation - a detect magic ritual becomes apparent as Danse attempts to triangulate Yargin's origin; after all, the man had a knack for magical items, if the wand recovered from his unconscious body said nothing. If that fails to produce anything of interest, Danse instead spends some time kicking each box and scavenging for any possible hiding place on the ship. Danse is obsessively thorough in his searches, a lighthearted tune muttered under his breath in his search.
If all else fails, Danse calmly suggests to Fargrim - "All we can do is wait, yes? Perhaps venture an ambush? Moroza is scouting the area, though I doubt she will see much," he sighed. "I plan to waste little time slaughtering Yargin and anyone escorting him to his escape route. My tactics, for now, are simple - wait for him to board deck and attack before he realizes we know of his location."
To Danse, Fargrim said, "The crew seemed to think that the captain would be back soon. Sneaking around isn't my usual method but I don't want to scare these people off. How about you blend in on the docks and let them pass you and follow from a distance. I'll go below deck. When I hear them get on the boat, I'll come out and you will block off their escape. I take out the captain and you can focus on your friend. If you want to take your time with him, we can sail this boat out into open water where you won't be disturbed."
Just confirming, are you going with Fargrim's plan (Danse hiding somewhere in the docks, Fargrim below deck) or something different? If so, give me Perception & Stealth rolls for each of you and any other specifics you may have.
Kaisaras:
"No. No family with me today. Just planning on watching them with a few friends. They're probably here by now..." the man replied as Kaisaras searched him; turning his head momentarily to the crowd to search for them. Turning back, he continued, "I did bet quite a few silvers on the Arcanamirium winning this year so I'll be looking forward to that!"
As Kaisaras searched the man, he didn't find much of note on his person besides a few small vials and a dagger; hardly anything out of the ordinary. Turning around momentarily, Kaisaras caught his Sister's eye. Though subtle, he was easily able to read the "Find anything?" look on her face.
Outside of anything else you'd like to do, give me another perception check please.

Kurstin:
"Of course that's what you'd say..." Kurstin heard Ambrose sneer from behind. "Always the goody two-shoes." Making his way over to the group and "lightly" pushing himself past the artificer, he continued, this time speaking to the elves. "The Guard were an absolute mess. It's a wonder there's anything left considering the way they let the city burn for as long as they did. I bet Blackjack wouldn't have let that happen. As for the Curse, it's real alright. The whole city is whispering about it. And who knows how long our new Queen will last before it gets her too... I even heard some of our professors talking about it. They're worried that-"
Before he could continue, a loud gong like sound erupted in the space forcing most of the participants to cringe and cover their ears in pain. "We're just about ready for the opening ceremony to begin! If you would all return to your designated areas, we'll explain what to expect and what each of your tiles represent!" Headmaster Toryr called out...

Radgar:
"Lies..." The figure began as they rose from their throne-like seat, towering above the Cleric of Gond. "I've seen into your darkest depths and know that you wish only doom. You and your kin only wish for the destruction of this world so you that..." As the figure continued to speak, it was at this point that Radgar began to notice that there was something terribly wrong with the space he was currently kneeling in. Approaching from the windows and doors on the periphery of the space, a tangible darkness was slowly infiltrating the space, oozing ever-so-slowly towards the center of the room where he and the figure spoke. "...in the Hold. So, For the World, and for my fallen comrades of the Ord-" their words were lost as the figure transformed in front of Radgar's eyes. Ash, steam and darkness poured out from the inside of the figure's suit of armor, obscuring and covering them like a shroud. As the surrounding darkness continued to creep ever closer to Radgar, the shroud, dissipated to reveal a gaunt and ghostly wraith-like figure holding the shining sword in it's hand; though as brilliant as ever, the light suddenly seemed off somehow, as if it had been corrupted in some unknown way. "...I will smite you from this world!!"

Finishing his quick search, Kaisaras eyeballed the vials, having spent enough time with the matters of the healer's council to know that medicine could easily be a poison. Still, he kept a stoic face as he caught sight of his sister's face, but instead of answering her posed another question to the man, "Really? No family? I asked because I had to search another set of men who entered earlier looking exactly like you."
