Azzure says “I don’t hear or see anything. Watch out for the stairs, they look slick and I wouldn’t want to fall down that distance. I may want to glide down… watch your step.” He hops on board his broom of flying and takes that way down instead.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The steps are clear and easy to climb, they end in a chamber, which is mostly empty, except for three bundles of rolled sealskins sitting where the ladder descends from the chute above to the approximate center of the room. Additionally, a bed of piled furs has been arranged in the southwest corner, from which the sound of loud coughing can be heard.
Torman nods at Duncan's brave words, then peers into the depths. He contemplates sending Rupert with Duncan, but does not want to ask the delicate bird to risk whatever lurks below.
Pausing at the top he looks around, "If we wish to ... you know... explore this later, I may be able to use my magic. It might be safer..."
He seems ready to follow, however, sitting gingerly on his own broom.
”I don’t speak your language,” says Duncan, trying to pantomime the same as he approaches the figure. He looks to see what state the creature is in warily, in case it is willingly or unwillingly bait for a trap.

Azzure steps forward, unafraid of contagion and disease - he is immune to it. He asks the man to open his mouth, he listens to his heart and lungs. “Take some deep breaths for me.” He examines his abdomen and skin, trying to determine the nature of the illness. “Let me see what is bothering him…”.
Medicine : (Nat 20!) 28, to determine the nature of the illness and any possible cures, any risk of contagion.

As fleas jump around the skins, and furs, Azzure finds that the man has contracted a form of sewer plague, a disease passed on by bites, a lessor restoration spell will cure it.
Azzure acts on this information, casting lesser restoration on the man, hopefully ridding him of the sewer plague. “Easy, easy, hopefully this will make you feel better…” he says, in a futile attempt to communicate with him.

The pockmarks disappear and the mans breathing becomes normal, the (Noncombatant) native quickly moves out and away from the blankets as a huge swarm of insects form, looking for a warm blooded host.
There is a icy haze in this cave, hundreds of fleas, that would feast on the sick natives, after loosing their lunch, look for something, warm, but our great warrior is first!
Lighting up his Sun Blade, Duncan moves up the the edge of the swarm and slashes through it twice with long, sweeping arcs of his radiant energy blade.

Azzure backs up and reflexively throws his hands up, sending a sacred flame down onto the swarm, contemplating his next move, startled by the sudden appearance of the pestilence.
