Thiricus is a druid raised by his mother(Either orc or human. I have it written down as orc, but I can change it) who is a historian at a prominent university or school. His father left him before he was born. He was well educated and studied arcana and the decline of magic, as well as druidic magic and it's continuing power. He is called Nargles by his friends for an embarrassing incident in middle school he doesn't want to talk about. Thiricus is about 6' tall and weighs slightly less than 200 pounds.
His magic item is a wand of magic missiles. What animals does it make sense for him to have seen for wildshape? I'm in CST.
Backstory: Akanos Novak, the son of a Tiefling tavern keeper and a mother unknown to him, was born in the town of Regalo. While he grew up, his father cared for him, but was treated as a servant and never his son. He ordered him to sweep the floors, take out the trash, serve drinks, and other menial tasks. He never got the love from his father that he deserved. When he tried to go to school, he was bullied constantly and even humiliated by the teacher. Despite these obstacles, Akanos became an exceptional student, earning himself a scholarship to the renowned Banhaven Academy for Magical Arts at age 18. After graduating from Banhaven, he set out to become an archeologist. The next few years were very successful ones, until one day he discovered an ancient temple dedicated to the Archdevil Mephistopheles. While exploring the temple Aknos discovered a Medallion of Thoughts, but there was a cave-in, and Akanos became trapped. After four days, he was on the brink of death. Right before his life was about to expire, he was visited by Mephistopheles himself, who had been observing Akanos for some time, interested in his magical power and scholarly knowledge. He offered Akanos a choice: become his disciple, and he will save him, or, stay in the temple and die. Seeing no other alternative, Akanos made the deal with Mephistopheles, granting him extraordinary magical power. In a flash of light, Aknos was teleported outside the temple. When he returned to civilization, he saw the recruitment for Holbright's Insititute of Higher Magics and applied. H could use a break from traveling alone and he missed his years at Banhaven.
Personality: Akanos is very kind, despite his youth past, and is willing to make new friends. However, he knows he is a Tiefling, which means people will judge him before they know him, so he tries to break the stereotype and be a good person. Nargels
The Holbright Institute is not the only entity with a keen interest in the fallen ruins of Embera. An ancient federation of Yuan-ti is among Holbright's less savory competitors. In ages past, the Yuan-ti looked to the sky and coveted Embera's power and authority. Nargels.
When Embera fell, the catastrophic event wiped out much of the Yuan-ti federation as well. The snake-people collapsed almost completely into a dark age of their own and have never been able to capitalize on the power void. A few remnants have survived until present day, however.
One such sect, the Heralds of the Winged Sun, still picks through the ruins, relying on their stealth, cunning, and arcane affinity to get them by. This was the sect that Sokasha was born into. Taller, tougher, and more cunning than the others in his sect, Sokasha had little interest in the intrigue or deal-making that his kin seemed to prefer. He was more direct, and often clashed with the weaker members. When he found an ancient Emberan suit of armor, they conspired to take it from him - they failed, but still taught Sokasha an important lesson. Nobody could stand alone forever.
He was cast out of the sect, and was forced to integrate into the society of Man. Initially, he felt comfortable, unthreatened by those he had been taught were 'lesser peoples'. As time progressed, he realized he was comfortable because he was no longer living in a pit of vipers. He began to see the usefulness in cooperation and mutual defense. Eventually, he found his way to Holbright. Knowledge, he came to learn, cost nothing to share, and was rewarding to trade.
Magic Item: A suit of Emberan silver plate he claimed from the ruins before joining Holbright. (Not technically magic and also exactly 1500 gp so let me know if I need to figure something else out.)

So, far I've invited people but I'm not done building the party. I will also ask for alternates if the first string doesn't work out. This game is RP heavy with a two post a day minimum. It's a big commitment. Some ppl are working out my requests and others weren't chosen because of history on the site or inflexibility with their PCs.
Still got slots left. If I haven't messaged you it doesn't necessarily mean you haven't been chosen yet. I am trying to sort out who's going to work best with the party as a PC and player.

Just in case, I wanted to mention that I am flexible with my PCs backstory... Wouldn't want to miss out because I was too specific on accident!

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ok, consider this a replacement character for the last one;
Name: Dame Stork
Race: Kenku
Subclass: Paladin, Oath of the Ancients
Ability scores: Unable to parse dice roll. Unable to parse dice roll. Unable to parse dice roll. Unable to parse dice roll. Unable to parse dice roll. Unable to parse dice roll.
Backstory: The chef for house Nargels once bought a large axebeak egg, intended for an immaculate omelette. When it hatched into a spindly little bird-child dinner plans had to be revised. A ward of the house, Stork was the name that stuck, after her tall and thin frame. She's never known her people, and what she's heard, she's not sure she'd want to. It seems like she doesn't look much like them or think much like them. The only kenku in her home, and living in the orbit of nobles while not being one, she's always felt the outsider's perspective. She's found herself comparing different lives, assessing their qualities and searching for what's best in life. Her desire to advocate that best-of-life lead her to seek knighthood, and the Oath of the Ancients. Learning and education is part of that, as she sees it, and going on an expedition like this is her expression of that. Ever ingood favor with the house that raised her, she carries a Quiver of Ehlonna, commissioned for her and bearing the emblem of her oath.
Edit: I'm not sure why the dice roll came up weird. I'll just use the rolls from the last character.
Closing submissions. Thank you for your time and creativity. I will make final decisions by the end on the weekend.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
It doesn’t matter. I got rejected by the DM. It’s fine though.
I don't believe the DM has made their selections yet... Correct me if I'm wrong?
