Joel listens attentively to Esilia's commentary, "Its very interesting the lengths people would go to to honor their fallen kings and heroes, I must admit, I'm very curious as to who we might find here and what we could learn. But you're wrong about one part, if you ask the right way, corpses can remember many things. Wait, why'd they stop?" Joel brings his lit shield forward to illuminate the area the others are examining, trying to help them find whatever they're looking for.
@Syvis The best you can tell, there is some sort of pressure plate directly under the feet of Neff and Abomwe, who are staggered left to right, but fairly close to each other. Your initial scrutiny overlooked the signs as you approached, but passing over the plate and beyond, your equilibrium shifted ever so slightly--enough to give you pause. The plate is there but even now it's impossible for you to visually locate its margins, and you are curious as to why the plate did not active something sinister.
( With Joel's help, you can make an investigation check with advantage to try to learn more about the device)
Esilia looks with gleaming eyes as someone has not only confirmed their interest in the matter but also contributed from their own knowledge to the talk. "Talking corpses? I've heard stories of undead creatures roaming these kinds of tombs but never encountered one myself. Forgive me if I'm a bit reluctant to believe that. I've seen many strange things but at least I know that the dead are dead. Even in my studies of magic I've encountered no formula to bring back the dead. Some were able to raise dead corpses as puppets, but these never had anything to say." Then, seeing everyone looking at the floor, Esilia joins in. "What have we here then? Our first trap maybe? Though, if you're looking beneath your feet, that's usually too late. Peculiar, this one." She tries to investigate as well, having decided that one who triggered a trap is not to be trusted with understanding its workings.
Searching around the floor near your companions' feet, you begin to see breaks in the stone floor, cleverly concealed no doubt, but unmistakably evident to your keen eye. This is a pressure plate that is stayed by a mechanism that releases when a certain amount of weight is applied. Looking up, you eye the dwarven form of Abomwe and the slender elf at her side. Most likely, you conclude, the two did not bear the requisite weight to trigger the trap.
"Well, if my eyes do not deceive me, I'd say this is not an especially dangerous trap. It looks to me like it is triggered by weight but, as you can see, both of you are standing on it at the same time and nothing happened yet. As long as we pass one by one, we should have no problem." She looks back at the others who are wearing heavy-looking armour as well as carrying a lot of weight. Not that she was one to speak - carrying a package weighing as much as she does.
" It is strange....I wonder what manner of intruder they were hoping to catch with it...most of those who live here wear little armour and there are few of great size."
Syvis squats down and investigates the trap under his feet carefully, despite Joel's help he still struggles to figure out the mechanism behind it. Frustrated, as Esilia steps closer to take a look at the floor tile. She quickly works out how the trap works, Syvis relaxes with a sigh of relief, brushes the hair in front of his forehead back behind his face, and stands up cautiously. "That is good to know, though I agree it is an odd trap." He shares the same doubts with Abomwe.
"Are you certain it will be fine if we step off it?" Syvis checks with Esilia, before turning to Neff, he raises an eyebrow and gestures the corridor ahead, "You first or I first?"
"As certain as I could be. If I'm wrong... well, you'll only know if you try it. Either that or you can just wait for the poison to kill you." She stands up and waits for the ones ahead of her to move forward. Meanwhile, she realises that if there are traps around, she should probably create some magical barrier around her to defend against unexpected dangers. Just in case. She takes a cured piece of leather out of her component pouch and runs it along her forehead, arms, legs and chest. All while reading a paragraph out of her spellbook, describing how the magic should react to various kinds of things. When she's done, she puts the leather back in her pouch and awaits the ones in front to move (or moves forward if they're waiting for her).
"Maybe we should have someone better at looking for things in the front." Neff says with a smile and glance Esilia. "You seem to be the best at finding these, especially with help it seems."
Neff cautiously steps forward off of the plate, but does not advance past anyone and checks the next few step without moving.

Esilia blushes slightly and looks away, embarassed by the flattery. "N... no, I probably should not. I might be able to comprehend how a trap works but... I'll probably get distracted by the work done building this place and find myself in one of the said traps. It doesn't look, however, like any of you will have this problem."
“You’re making her blush, flirty.” Syvis steps off the tile following Neff’s footsteps, glancing back at Esilia and nudges Neff with a teasing smile. He continues to poke around using his 10-ft-long pole and looking for any signs of traps ahead.

I'll probably get distracted by the work done building this place and find myself in one of the said traps. It doesn't look, however, like any of you will have this problem."
As she says this, Joel has pulled a small knife from his belt and is poking between the stones, checking the mortar, "Hmm? Oh yes, let us keep moving." And he'll gingerly put his weight on the trap, ready to step back if he feels it start to sink too much.
Neff and Syvis cautiously make their way off the plate and forage ahead, paying heed to the possibility of other surprises this hallway might still present. You feel as if you dodged fate this time, and perhaps were needlessly brought full to bare upon the dangers such a place presents.
Abomwe glances quickly back to assure herself her companions are safe, then concentrates in the bronze doors ahead of her. The scene was created to make one think of an underwater forest. Tangles of boldly carved seaweed thread their way towards an imagined ocean surface; it almost seems lifelike. Two brass handles, one on each of the double doors, are present. Concentrating, Abomwe traces over the artistic lines and surfaces with practiced care, yet all appears harmless and in good order. The doors patiently await your action.

When her turn to move over the trap reaches, Esilia moves over with confidence. At least her own judgement was one she could trust. When she reaches the door, she looks with admiration at the artwork around the door. "Doesn't it make you want to swim?" She asks nobody in particular. She even reaches her hand forward to feel whether maybe, just maybe, this is not just art.
After (I assume) the disappointment of touching a wall, even if a marvellous one, Esilia shifts her attention to the door, trying to figure out how it can be opened.
Esilia steps back from the door. "Well, that's rather unfortunate. Swimming in cool, calm lake, relaxing in a hot spring... waters can be so much fun. I even took separate classes back in the day just to learn how to manipulate water! I remember that so well I don't even have these spells written in my book. Maybe I'll show you if we find enough water that we can have fun without worrying about dehydration." She then waits for someone to open the door.

Abomwe shrugged, no one had died yet, " Lets see if these doors will kill us."
She examined the bronze doors carefully both for traps and a method of opening.

Abomwe smiled at Esilia, " Nothing in all the green of Chult makes me want to swim....dwarves aren't overly buoyant."
" So.....I'm gonna pull these doors open. Any objections before I do?"
@Esilia and Abomwe.
These handles take the form of loops that give the the impression the doors are to be pulled back into the corridor to open.
