The Crayfish continues to pace back and forth in front of the rock, singlemindedly repeating its frantic warnings. Warily its eyes follow Joel as he circles slowly around the room. It seems to be getting nervous, but as of yet it doesn’t show signs of attacking.
In its humanoid tongue is speaks...
“Do not come near or you will force me to act. This is your final warning. Be slow with your movements and leave this room.”
Seeing another seems to be taken as less of a threat than himself, Neff listens to the crawfish like creature and moves slowly with the rest in a fashion most non-threatining. He will continue so I until they all are out of the room and have left the being in peace.

"Okay," Syvis says, getting a feeling of aggression from the giant clayfish - he is not the in mood of arguing with sealife right now. He holds up his hands and starts retreating, still facing towards the clayfish, not wanting it to bite his butt on his way out. He looks back at others as he steps back from the clayfish, makes a face, puts his hand across his neck and making the "cut-throat" sign, "I don't think it likes us very much."
"Wait, let's go left!" Esilia tries to say, but seeing that everyone goes right (east), she follows, walking slowly to avoid an unintentional roll in the mud. At the very least, she's happy to leave the room, even if it's through the wrong side. She also looks back every few steps to make sure the beast doesn't attack her from behind.
As you work your way towards the east door, you seem to have come to a fragile detente with the agitated crayfish, which continues to pace nervously in front of the boulder. The door before you is stone with a bronze handle.

Joel once more reaches over to open the door after listening to try and see if he can hear anything on the other side, praying that the crayfish will be quiet.

"God, the fish was loud." Syvis makes an exaggerated face and grumbles in a low voice, making a gesture of picking out his ear. He turns his attention to the door in front of him, searching for a possible trap. "You would think fishes are quiet..."
As Joel holds a hand up to listen, he does indeed find a moment where the crayfish is quiet, during which he is sure no sounds are are coming from the other side of the door. Syvis, the takes a moment to inspect the the entire door, floor and handle. Everything seems on the up and up.
The stone door grinds open to reveal a passage stretching out before you, which turns off to the left roughly 40 feet ahead. The walls of this corridor are wet and slimy. The stucco covering has become saturated with water and is decomposing and sloughing off in spots on the southern wall, exposing the seams of one of the large stone blocks from which this structure was built.
Esilia quickly jumps past the others to get out of the muddy room. "That's it. Clean rooms!" She then looks at the slime on the walls. "Well, cleaner, at least." She walks forward to the large block and admires it. "That must've been really heavy. I wonder if this entire place is built from these blocks." She turns back to the others. "Come on, the faster we get away from that room - the better. I don't know what you told the fish but I hope it doesn't change its mind and start chasing after us."
Joel slowly clanks his way forward, curiously looking at the walls as they move through, "It wouldn't surprise me. Most of the surviving older structures would have been built from extremely large stone. Not just because they were built by those with the most wealth and power, but because if it wasn't stone, it would have fallen apart by now, and smaller stones would likely have been taken by locals as building materials for other, newer, structures. That's why it seems like all old structures are made of massive stone, those are the only ones that made it this long."

"Hmm," Syvis stands behind Joel and Esilia admiring the huge stone wall together, listening to Joel's commentary and eventually he decides that he isn't interested in stones no matter how big they are. He steps forward, feeling the seem on the wall, and checking for any traps or secret doors.
The pealing stucco wall, block, and the seams between stones are wet with lime. As Syvis runs his hands along the cracks he is met by a burning sensation. The caustic lime does 1 point of damage and is now all over his hands, Nothing else of interest is observed other than noting some of the stucco still covers portions of the seams.
Seeing one of his teammates take damage from the environment, Neff winces empathically. "Maybe we should keep from touching anything here with our bare hands." he says with a point to the pole he gave to Syvis. He then conjures a spear out of the ethereal night sky like material he had done before and uses it to prod the walls, floor, and ceiling if he can reach, ahead of where he walks. "We can't trust anything in here and must think before most anything. I hope we have left an ok impression on the crustacean in the previous room. My Tongues spell is still up for a little under an hour, so if we run into anymore, me and Syvis can probably handle more interactions with their people." Neff's expression shifts from seriousness when talking of the danger of the setting, but softens when reaching the subject of dealing with the locals. "I'm sure we will come across interesting things, but lets remember that we ultimately want to get out of here alive, at least I do."
Esilia was probably also going to touch the wall but, seeing Syvis, she jolts backwards. "You're right," she says to Neff, "first we need to secure a way out. Further investigation of this place can be done after we're sure we can stay alive." She waits for half of the group to move past her and then continues to walk in the middle. As they walk, she looks at the walls and ceiling and tries to determine the source of the slime. It must come from somewhere.
