Deception and persuasion Are the same for Mist so none the less you are good. "I love shiny things too, so does mother. Remember anything found in her territory she has partial claim to. So I will keep an eye out for your ship to make sure Lady Lux gets her share." And at that the dragon spreads her wings and flys off.
"That went far better than I expected," Druquilla comments watching the dragon fly off. "With Mist taking lead I was figuring we would all be fried like fish not long after he opened his mouth. You did well Mist."
"And what's a sea witch know about sweet talkin' a dragon, eh?" Mist scoffs as he feigns offence. "You stick with ol' Mist and it's smooth sailing from here to the horizon..."
Mist casts prestidigitation and finishes removing the smelly harbor water from his robes.
"Right, then. Shall we?" he asks as he gestures to let the others lead the way.
Druquilla rolls her eyes at Mist's remark before turning to Gintarou, "Lets find out what we can about where we are going, where is the compass pointing?"
The compass again is pointing to the center of this Island pillar there is a path that you see and pilgrims are taking it up to the base of the pillar.

Psionic Power: Psychic Whispers - 4 Hours
Kraven looks to Mist and then to Hal (that's the captain of the boat right?) and then speaks inside their heads. When we get back on the boat and continue to sail to the island to our final docking point before we go to shore. We should leave the crew behind and make sure they stay on high alert. Mist, Hal and I can talk this way for the next 3 hours and we can be a mile from each other. Once we find this crystal we should probably make a hasty retreat back to the boat and then get out of here as fast as we can. I have no desire to see this dragon again as I am sure they will take an interest in our crystal and confiscate it. I can use this ability once more today before we rest but the duration is kind of random.
"Let go to a tavern find out what we can about the pilgrimage and where it goes," Druquilla comments looking for the closest tavern, figuring one close to the dock would have heard a fair amount from other travelers.
[OOC: Is this the dock with other merchants around, are they typically like tent stalls or do they have some form of building. Kraven might be getting some itchy feathers.]
So the above "map" shows How it looks, the shop area are docks that are about 100 feet from the island. The dock that you are on I drew the ship, off the dock is a dashed line which is the path that the pilgrims are taking.
They all look like minimalists, they all have black oars on their body in some way, mostly as a neckless. About half have weapons of some sort, but they are mundane looking. There is a mix of clothing styles, but the most common is that of basic robes.

Kraven moves over to Mist continuing to look disappointingly at the pilgrims, then takes a side long glance over at Mist. Hmmmm, I should probably leave my friends alone, but maybe I should practice a bit....
As Kraven reaches a feathered hand out toward Mist's body to see what he might have hanging on his person.

Kraven stumbles into Mist with his hand in his pocket and he slowly removes it showing an empty hand, "Sorry about that, figured while we wait I might practice, and it seems I need it."
"No worries, friend! Are you well? Do you need to rest after that spat before we press on? I just figured everyone was being lazy but if you need anything before we continue, maybe we should sit for a spell..." Mist says as he helps Kraven recover from his apparent stumble.

I mean...he's not lying...just not being forthcoming with all the details. XD

Kraven will finish searching the bodies and then follow along behind the others, glad that the dragon has left.

You are at the final docking point at the main island. Do you wish to head up the path?

There are no buildings next to the dock. Just a path that heads to the pillar styled mountain.

[OOC: ahh, got it, so Kraven might be taking a close look at any of the pilgrims he walks by on the way up.]
"So do we need to head back to the shops or are we following the compass and the pilgrims up the path?" Kraven quietly asks the rest of the group.

Mist stands at the end of the dock, tapping his foot impatiently. Clearly waiting for the group to go up the path first.
