Kraven lets out a few squeaks, laughing, "No I am fine, was just practicing my hand work, and slipped, alerting you to my intentions. So yes, I need to practice more."
Then Kraven will take one step away from Mist fluff his feathers some and then crouch down and wait for the others.
Seeing her plan initial plan fall given the lack of buildings Druquilla gives a resigned sigh then stops the closest pilgrim, "Excuse me, we are travelers stopping for a quick resupply for our ship, could you tell us where you are going and for what reason?"
"Hello I am Sun, this is as close to a central area of Lux's domain, making for a good place for a trading post. As for the rest of us, we head to Tideswatch. A temple to the Orsman, the full moon will be in 4 days, and most people can make the climb in 3 or 4 days. Last full moon all the worshipers at Tideswatch were taken by the Oarsman to the Astral plane, which is why so many of us are here this month to worship him.”
"To be with the Oarsmen yes. One would hope that he allows you to stay with him forever. Would you like to travel some with me and talk while we walk? I do not want to waist much time, it will take me longer to get there than it would for you all." Sun looks very grandmotherly, and her fur is gray.
Kraven looks to Mist and shrugs his shoulders, and then look her over once more, "Waiting for rest of friends to join but you can travel with us for a time. If you need I can carry you as well."
(I am going to push forward because it seems that we have nothing left anyone is wanting to do.) 17
Sun looks almost angry that this sugestion was made. "I will make the trip with my own two feet, thank you very much! If you wish to walk at the slower rate of an old woman than you are welcome to do that."
Kraven, feathers a little ruffled replies, "Sorry not meant to offend." Then moves away from Sun keeping his distance from her while the group goes up the path.
As you continue to walk up the trail you make bends and curves, this path is not for the faint of heart, but is not very hard either. You get passed up by groups of pilgrims, all greet you with “May the Oarsman bless you.”
The path is normally about 10 feet wide, but some times the shrinks down to a width that Gintarou just barely fits through, and other spots where you are able to break for Sun and other groups are still able to pass.
You pass shrines to the Oarsman as you are walking. Most are simple black oars, you notice that at these oars the path is more narrow, or slippery, or at a bridge that looks the same age as the oar. When you walk past one oar at a bridge there is an older couple standing by it, somewhat crying. Sun says to them “May the Oarman bless you, and your lost.” After crossing the newly built bridge Sun explains that the Oars represent people who have died on their trip to Tideswatch.
Some of the shrines are carvings placed in an outcove, or carved into the rock. Make a DC 13 religion or investigation check to read the spoiler below.
You notice that the older the carving looks to be the more of a giant, he is standing about 3 times taller than the humanoids in the same carving, in more modern shrines he looks like a human.
You look at Sun who is bleeding from a few deep cuts. You see a greenish gray giant worm with four tentacles at its beak like face. You all may take your turns then I will take Ronald and Sun’s before the monster’s turn.
Kraven, feathers a little ruffled replies, "Sorry not meant to offend." Then moves away from Sun keeping his distance from her while the group goes up the path.
During this day of travel before the attack Sun talks with you Kraven and explains that this is a pilgrimage for the faithful to the Oarsman and that they all must make it on their own.

"Hells, Mist this a friend of yours?" Druquilla shouts as she takes a few steps back while drawing her longbow and nocking an arrow. Taking careful aim Duquilla lets the arrow fly at the worm creature.
Attack: 19 Damage: 5 plus 1 Swarm damage as a school of spectral fish follow the arrow and small into the worm.
"Leave the old lady alone! You ugly son of a fishing bait!" Seeing the Sun is in danger, Gintarou hurries to go between the giant worm and the tabaxi woman. His glaive is aiming at the neck of the beast.

(I'm really sorry about my inactivity. I was quite busy last week. And the dice roller really don't like me this time. LoL)
Druquilla's arrow and fish hit the grick, the arrow not doing as much damage as she would have hoped for.
Kraven's daggers appare, fly and hit the grick as Gintarou cut between Sun and it. The grick falls over dead just as Gintarou swings his glaive, causing him to miss.

Kraven will make his way over to the thing to check it out and see where it might have come from. Tapping the side of his head to see if he can job any memory loose about this creature.
"That was close. Lady Sun, are you okay?" Gintarou pokes the corpse of the worm to see if it's really dead. He also walks around the area, searching for another beast and body of the poor pilgrim. "I never thought the road was this dangerous. Lady, your people should travel in a bigger group."
Kraven he was hiding as a rock. Spending time on the ocean you have probably heard of Gricks, they like to hide next to shores, find easy pray and try to kill them before bringing them underwater to eat.
Gintarou finds nothing. You have seen some walking alone, they however are younger and more likely to have been able to handle this on their own as any of you would have been able to, the rest are in groups.
"The Oarsman provided protection for me." She is struggling to speak, but willing And ableto move on.

"So...you want to go to this 'astral plane' of yours? How long's the trip? When do you get back?" Mist asks, looking thoroughly baffled.
