"Silver is fine," the Tabaxi says soon after stepping out of the forest and falling into step with the others as if he belonged. "Fully it's Night's Silver Lining, probably due to the streak in my fur and all, but I find most non-us get tired trying to say the whole thing time after time..."
"So, where we off to? I was on a slow path to nowhere in particular but you all seem to be destined for someplace in particular. We going someplace interesting? Or important? Maybe someplace that has shiny things and plenty of sunlight to nap in? Do tell..."
((Having joined the party, quite uninvited, is a black and white Tabaxi - a cat person, to those without a full understanding of the remarkable race. Unfortunately for this particular Tabaxi, the white fur is in a distinct line running from the center pf their forehead back along their head and, as much as one can tell around the leather armor, down their back to the tip of their tail... Very skunk like, if one was to be so vulgar. They wear some very worn in, but very well cared for, leather armor with a rapier and several daggers secured to their belt. There is a small wooden shield strapped to the backpack they carry casually over their left shoulder. They are barefoot - bare pawed rather? - and have small, neat claws at the tips of their fingers and toes...))

"Phandelver. I'm Cail, a hunter from the area. It's rabbit season and I need ingredients for scones, as well as some Earl Grey. I met a man named Grey once."
"Rabbit season? You sure? I could have sworn, on a tree back there, I saw a sign saying it was Duck Season..." Silver responds casually. "But rabbit is good... Good to chase, good to catch, very yummy to eat."
Kathrine walks along, mostly in her own thoughts as those around her travel with erh towards Phandalin. She is a cummly human woman with chestnut hair and wearing scale mail armor.
"Why am I traveling to Phandalin?" She asks with a frown as she glances around, someone nearby having said something about the place. "I'm off to see this place and look into this Wave Echo Cave I've been hearing rumors about." She shrugs. "As for the rest, safe to say I am looking to spread the word of my god to the locals."

"Greetings!" Alarion says with a yawn. "What, exactly, do you do, Night's Silver Lining?"
Kathrine glances to those around the tabaxi, sidling in that direction as she tucks some hair behind her ear. Her blue eyes narrow as she nears the group, trying to catch the response this 'Silver' gives.

"Who is your god?" Alarion asks. "And forgive me, but I didn't catch your name, Miss?"
Walking along several paces behind the group, Rowen listens to conversation to guage the mood. Hearing nothing out of the ordinary, he approaches the armored human woman.
"Pardon me madame, have you been to Phandelin before?"

*I'm scared again.*
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
Aw well, even when Alarion rouses out of a dream... and stands guard...
there is no excitement tonight, but there has been peace and comradery
The road to Phandelver is still ahead.
Companions may be met along the way.
Stretch with the morning sun and douse the campfire. It has been so pleasantly peaceful.

Arrows swoosh around you, hitting all the trees but none of you. yet (stormtrooper thing?)
Roll initiative

Alarion whirls towards where the arrows came from, tossing his book into his bag and whipping his wand from his sash. "Ambush! Get down!" he shouts.
I'll give you tonight to roll the dice.
If anyone wants to roll a d20 for their passive inspection check, you may avoid being at a disadvantage.
*perception* check
(Wouldn't passive be just 10+modifier?)
If not:
Perception: 7
Investigation: 17
Silver Initiative: 4
Perception: 14
Rowen:
Passive perception: 13
Initiative: 12
PP: 11
Initiative: 9
Cail draws his bow and fires a shot at where an arrow came from.
